One of the holidays that was mentioned to me is coming up. It's called Christmas, and while it's traditionally a religious holiday, I've found that the majority of people celebrate it more as a friends-and-family togetherness and year-end celebration. There's a lot of music, winter themes, gift-giving, parties, traditional food, and significant abuse of the colors red, green, and gold.

Since Team RWBY (Ruby, me- Weiss, Blake, and Yang) is getting our own house soon, I figured we should have a Christmas-slash-Housewarming party on Christmas Eve, December 24th. There will be a Secret Santa, so make sure you bring a gift. Secret Santa is a game named after a fictional overweight man in a red suit who brings gifts to good children every year, except in Secret Santa you're only in charge of getting a gift for one randomized person at the party. That said, it will be taken out of the list of RSVPs so make sure that if you want a gift or to give one, you RSVP. Rules regarding gifts include a price ceiling of $100, no living creatures, no gifts that would cost more money in the long run for upkeep, nothing that is going to make a mess if someone opens it at the party, nothing illegal, and nothing that's going to cause more harm than good. The last rule is that you absolutely cannot tell anyone whose Secret Santa you are. It is called "Secret" Santa for a reason. And if you don't follow the rules, you're not getting invited to the next party.

The location will be announced officially in a few days. If you aren't RSVPing, make sure that you know someone who is so you get the directions. Expected attire is dress but not formal. There's no need to show up in a tuxedo, but please don't show up in jeans and a t-shirt either.

[Gives a small shrug and leans back against her bed.] I know, I just don't know why it hurts so much. I guess it's probably just him taking a sort of revenge for my initial 'betrayal'.

[There's a long moment of silence before she randomly speaks up again.] Also, apparently Monkeys seem to enjoy the scent of Pine trees. So..I'll try to make sure Sun doesn't try to eat our Christmas tree.

Weiss doesn't know what else to say about Adam, so she moves onto Sun. ]

As weird as Sun can be sometimes, I'm personally going to at least try to trust him not to eat our decorations.

Boo. It would work so well though. We'll all be iconic Christmas deities.

I'll do what I can to keep him away from there. ...might want to turn the lights from blinking to not. I seem to uh...get a little tranced myself.

Oh, I also found something about custom songs sung during this season. Did you want it?

If we do that... [ Weiss thinks for a second, then looks at Blake. ] Okay, according to you and Yang I'm not very good at jokes, so I'm going to ask. How funny would it be if I dressed up as the Snow Queen? [ Because. Ice Queen. She doesn't like the nickname but just this once maybe.. ]

There isn't going to be any problems with the tinsel, is there? [ Blake, if you get distracted by the lights... ]

Sure. It'll be good to have some correctly themed music in the background of the party.. maybe I could sing at the end. Since it's a sort of togetherness holiday it would probably be strange if I sung by myself this time. [ Not that she would mind, but overall it seems like everything else is about doing things with other people... ]

Truthfully?

I think you would be fulfilling a fantasy to almost every male at Beacon. But; why not? It's fitting, not in a negative connotation in the least bit, so why not? Funny? Eh maybe. Fitting? Yes.

Sounds good. There's some sheet music with the recordings. I guess you'll need to find someone who can harmonize with your range and pitch.

Considering there are literally no males actually from Beacon here, I don't think that would be an issue. [ Professor Ozpin doesn't count, he's Ozpin. ]

Why would you even think to eat something that looks shiny and metallic? [ She's definitely got her 'what is wrong with you' face on. ]

I don't actually know anyone else here who sings though.

I'm sure Jaune would feel a sting back in our world from his heart. But, again, go for it if you want. Make it your moment to shine.

[Deadpan.] It looked tempting.

Hm, I guess it's too late to hold auditions?

You should dress up too, though. Just not as Krampus. This isn't a horror party.

[ Deadpan right back. ] Don't touch the poinsettia in the kitchen. Or anything that I decorate with, Blake, just eat normal food.

Yes, it's too late. Can you sing at all?

Perhaps. I'll have to see if there's anything fitting.

No no, I know not to eat those. There's a warning label that says it's poisonous to cats and other animals.

Me? Uh..I don't think our styles are similar? You're more Operatic and I'm...Folkish?

You should know not to eat anything that isn't food in the first place.

[Flips the pages of a book, looking at some musical notes. Thankfully all the carols seem somewhat simplistic and quick to sing.]

Well, if you want to tone down the opera sound and just sing a little differently, we should be able to do this one with a simplistic harmonize with a few of these.

Hmm, Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas, White Christmas and a rather slower tempo of one called Silent Night.

I'm not incapable of singing other styles, Blake.

Are you home right now or should I come meet you? I want to read the music before I pick one.

Oh I'm sure you are; but to be fair, most know you for your iconic operatic sounds.

[Gives a nod.] I am since it's my day off. I got a few decorations that I'll need your approval on, too.

[ Weiss signs off, then only a few seconds later there's a knock on Blake's door. ]

Wait--! Don't answer!

[ Frost followed her out of her room, she picks him up and and takes the dog back, closing her door with a bark from Frost, then coming back to Blake's door. ]
