[Even though he'd read up on Christmas, as Neptune wandered about the various malls and shopping districts, he began to think that maybe it was just an excuse for people to but lots of things for slightly cheaper than normal. Not that he was complaining. He was out on a mission; a mission to buy the best presents, party clothes, and drinks as he could.

First stop was to get an order for various drinks to be delivered to the party. After much deliberation, and taste testing, he settled on some apple as well as cranberry sparkling cider, hot spiced cider, and hot cocoa that would be served with handmade peppermint marshmallows and fresh whipped cream.

Once he was full of delicious drinks and marshmallows, he made a beeline straight to a clothing shop he'd been eyeing for quite some time. It didn't take him long to pick out an outfit for himself and something for Sun as well.

Then it was on to presents. A quick stop in a small boutique candy shop got his Secret Santa gift taken care of. Because, really, who doesn't like delicious handmade sweets? After that was taken care of, he braved the crazy crowd of a home goods store to get something for RWBY as a housewarming gift. Lastly, he ducked into a small bookshop to get a gift for Sun and Blake... That was really just two gifts for Blake.

With his ridiculous amount of packages in tow, he carefully made his way back home.]

I'm glad I haven't really been spending any of my money lately... Now I've just got to figure out how to get Sun into these clothes...

[ As Neptune was zeroing in on his door, Weiss was just leaving her apartment with a large box of things. They'd been working on getting everything over there, but without a car, it'd been a slower process than she would've liked. Probably not helped by the fact that Frost was at her heels the whole time while she was carrying a box that was taller than her upper body and she was already having to try to look around it to see... which meant she may be bumping into Neptune if he doesn't get out of the way. ]

[He recognized the click of her heels on the floor before he saw her around his own pile of boxes. And he was really glad that the presents he'd just bought for her were in inconspicuous boxes. As quickly as he could without sending his packages flying, he got out of her way.]

You got that okay? If you give me a second to dump all this inside, I can help you out.

Neptune!

[ Weiss stopped where she was, slowing down so she could at least get past him enough to turn her head and look back at him. ]

Are you sure? It's not the closest place.

[broceanking]

Yeah I'm sure! Be right back.

[He'll duck into the apartment to dump everything into the living room before he dashes back into the hallway to take the box from her.]

I'm not going to let you try to carry this by yourself. It's bigger than you are.

[whiteas]

[ Well, if Neptune is helping.. ]

I'll be right back, then. If you're carrying the big one, I'll carry a smaller one.

[ She's going to go get another smaller box and then hurry to catch up to Neptune. ]

Yes. Did anyone tell you where it is yet or do I get to lead the way?

Nope! So yeah, you probably should lead.

[He'll gladly step aside to let her past.]

Can you drive a car?

[ Weiss knew he didn't have a car- she doubted he could afford one already but she was curious. Besides, she wanted to learn eventually. A thought she had definitely had during the long trips back and forth with their things from the apartment to the house. ]

I can, but I don't have one. Why do you ask?

[He'd been making okay money at the library... And he had been saving for a car until he'd heard about this whole Christmas thing.]

[whiteas]

I was thinking it would probably be a useful skill considering we don't have quick passage wherever and whenever we want like we did back in Remnant and I'm clearly not going to be able to afford a personal driver if I can't afford a car yet. I would ask Yang to teach me, but I want to be able to drive like a normal person instead of like an action flick's stunt driver.

[ Do you see where she's going with this? ]

[Having experienced Yang's driving for himself, he laughs at her comment.]

I can understand that. Just let me know when you want to start lessons, and I'll teach you.

Probably after the New Year starts and everything's settled with the move.

[ She smiles at him, adjusting the box in her arms while they turn a corner. ] Thanks, Neptune.

Sounds like a plan. I'll... Look into finding a car to teach you in.

I don't know much about cars, but asking Yang would probably be a good idea. She works in an autobody shop.

That works! I'll just make sure she doesn't know what we're up to, so we don't have to worry about her trying to teach you.

Maybe I should just try to get a different job. I could probably get a position as a Deputy Guardian easily to pay for one.

[ She sounds a little hesitant but it isn't as though it hasn't been suggested to her before. ]

Or do a lot of bounties.

You could easily get a better paying job. But they usually don't let you get a car until you know how to drive one.

[whiteas]

No, but I could purchase one as long as I get someone who can drive to leave the lot with it.

[ Probably. ]

I was planning on eventually purchasing the place I currently work at once I started making money again, then saving up profits from there to open up my own company beyond a tiny shop. I was originally going to do an ice skating rink but.. there are things more likely to be successful outside of winter time. Figuring out the exact thing that all of the cities need to ensure success is a little more difficult, though.

That's a good point.

I'm honestly surprised that you don't already own it.

[whiteas]

It isn't like I have all the money I have back home to support it. Opening up a coffee shop is very different from starting a corporation. Besides, learning to deal with customers has been an.. experience.

[ Weiss's social skills have required honing when dealing with people she's supposed to be nice to for long periods of time okay. ]

It's still surprising, considering who you are. But customer service is definitely a learning experience.

Actually needing to afford rent makes things a little more difficult, too. I still want to though.

[ There are other anxieties, of course, but she's not going to share those.. ]
