[ For being so horrifyingly lost and making a big deal about it in a series of multiple text messages, Salama's actual face as she wanders around seems relatively calm and.. focused on her device. Almost the entire time. It's questionable if she's even paying attention to where she's walking, really.

But after she's done with her series of tweets, she realizes there's only one solution that's going to keep her from.. well, dying out. Without any popularity here, it's going to be practically impossible to do this. So wherever she is- somewhere near a beach if the friendly otter meant anything- she puts her phone away and gathers a crowd. If there's one thing she knows how to do, she can at least entertain. Once she has a group of a few people, the bored look on her face disappears and she lights up a little more, doing a dance, then lighting little fires around the tips of her fingers, then leaving them in the air and drawing some things in the air with them before finishing her dance and posing.

She didn't have a hat or anything, so there are a couple of people throwing coins at her feet, but that's not the important part. A good part, but not the most important part. ]

[ She bows and waits for the crowd to disappear. Once it does, she's going to be on the move again. It'd probably be best to find a place to sleep soon. A few happy viewers would at least make sure she wasn't about to drop right away. ]

[You know, Spirit has been keeping to himself--it's hard to meander around town with ribs as broken as his were and he's been trying to stay out of trouble and it would have been fine if this kid hadn't just walked directly into him while playing with her phone.

He uses his uninjured arm to grab her to hold her upright, frowning.] H-hey! Are you all right?

[When he was sure she wasn't going to fall, he let go.] You should watch where you're going.

[ Her response comes only a second later. She's a ridiculously speedy typist. ]

Otters in more than 1 place here? I hoped that was enough. #OtterInvasion

[ She didn't seem remotely bothered. Usually she was pretty attentive when she was wandering around like this--but usually it was in a group of at least 3 others so it was easiest to just watch them out of the corner of her eye for cues of when to stop and go or pay attention. Salama was going to have to get used to this. ]

Maybe. That was my bad, sorry.

[ Well at least she looks up at him now. Even if she's still holding her phone up. ]

I thought you meant more otter areas. How do I tell where I am? I wandered a lot, wasn't looking. No GPS on phone.

[ It's not like she can do anything about it if he is, but she'll feel bad about it. ]

[ She sends a photo of what looks like somewhere in Everglade, possibly, definitely near the water. There's something in the distance in the water that looks like it might've been the otter she was looking at, but who knows. And her face is in the image in the corner. ]

He actually doesn't answer. A few minutes later, he's wandering around the bay, holding a his phone and a copy of the map he's made.]

Um...excuse me. Are you the person who took a picture of the otter?

Well I figured not from me.

[ That'd be some miracle bandaging job if it were. She'll fix what she said, still peeking at her phone even while she's talking. ] No pulled stitches right?

[ She looks back over at him, glancing at her phone once more before glancing back to him. She shrugs instead of answering affirmatively. Mostly because confirming you are a person on the internet can be dangerous at first. ]

[Huff.]

No--got those taken out a little while ago.

[After a moment:] You must be new here.

I'm Luke!

[He looks uncertain now.]

Are you the person talking about otters?

Good.

[ She doesn't really want to be responsible for that on her first day here. She nods. ] Fresh out of the boats. They could've just set up a gate to another world, it would've been nicer.

Who's asking? I don't know who Luke is.

[ Either it's that kid she was talking to or it's a stalker. Both are entirely possible, she's had people try to meet her before because they're net fans. ]

Um... you just said you were new and bad no map so I said I'd bring it to you...

Gates suggest that you can come and go as you please, which you'll shortly figure out isn't the case.

[He pauses, as if processing her statement again, once and then twice.] You're serious. You can use gates for travel? In a regular world?

[He shouldn't be so surprised, seeing as his boss and his boss' son could traverse through mirrors. But that's a minor detail, right?]

[ She takes it, looking at it. ]

Yeah. Pirates even got through the one under the pool once and captured a bunch of kids at the amusement park. They put me in shackles and everything.

[ ..Realistically she probably could've burned them they were just made of wood, but eh. It worked out. ]
