[ Her confirmation of working for them is still as confusing, but she has the right idea. Going through the basics seems like a good idea right now. Trust Augusta to be the reliable level-headed one that comes up with a great idea like that. ] Yes, [ he nods slowly. ] That's right. And you're Augusta Markgräfin Wolfenbüttel. Right? Because you're not suddenly married and have changed name or something, right? [ Because that would be weird to get used to. [ He's not intending that as insults, it just slips out among basic facts. He likes those things about Augusta, because they're part of who his friend is. And she's the one more fact-based, not him. [ That was by far the worst list ever. Is this how he would introduce her if someone asked for the basics? Quick prayers that it isn't.
For a moment her facial expression slips a bit and she's left staring blankly, unsure if she wants to scold him for this or just laugh about it. At least it is painstakingly accurate and quite familiar - whatever is going on with their memories, they're not strangers. She catches herself a moment later. ]

[ No, he wouldn't. It might come up talking about her but it wouldn't be the first thing he'd say. He does have a lot of respect for her, after al. ]

Great! Then nothing too weird to get used to has happened.

[ If he wasn't oblivious to her feelings for him, he wouldn't have said anything about marriage. ]

Seems you're the real Augusta, too. I'm glad. Hey, have you been here for long?

Just a week, really... Most of what I've been doing is looking around and figuring out the level of difference from Kuchen as we know it.

[ It was a painfully long week without anybody familiar around. Augusta may sometimes find the liveliness surrounding her to be a nuisance in daily life, but being away from everyone is definitely not preferable - it was a lesson for sure. ]

Not very long, then. But long enough to figure out some things. [ He grins widely. ] It seems really different, though. Isn't it interesting?

[ He has been interested in traveling since before, he wants to see every place their world has to offer, and now he can see a whole other world! ]

[ Ah, shining enthusiasm is great to see - at least this way she won't have to do the optimism thing herself anymore.....

Honestly, she thinks this is more of a hassle than something exciting, but it's not like complaining would fix it either. ]

It is quite different, yes. I've been told the technology is about 60 to 70 years ahead of ours here in Genessia - though that varies for the other cities. Thankfully, it's not extraordinarily hard to learn about either.

If it's novelty you're looking for, you're certainly going to find it in abundance though.

[ He does do the optimism pretty well most of the time. Maybe too much sometimes? But at least that balances thing out between them a little bit. ] Amazing... I can't wait to get to see everything. [ He wants to see all the differences. ] Oh that's right, Augusta. Have you figured out anything about where you live here?

Not really.. I'm still staying at a hotel and I've applied for a job, but I haven't found a permanent residence yet.

[ She's kind of grateful that Rosenstolz Academy had them living in dorms because going straight from having more than one mansion to the size she could afford here would be... suffocating. It's not the luxury she truly values here but just the amount of space. ]

I want to stay in Attleton though. It's the most quiet.

[ Augusta working.. Yeah, despite her rank, it's easy to see her work, at least in some fields. She's much more forward than some other women of her age and class. It's harder to imagine her in the kind of hotel she must be staying in. Unless she had carried money with her when she ended up in this place, she would be just as broke as he was. ] What job is that?
