[After waking up with no idea where she was on a mysterious boat, and moving up from said boat to discover a city she did not recognize in the least, Yang had just plopped herself down on a nearby bench. When it came to weirdness and oddity, the teen generally needed a few minutes to really process through all of it, so that's what she was doing. It wasn't helping very much, but at least the urge to scream was starting to fade?]

[Instead she turned on the walkie-talkie thing, flipping slowly through the options until she found what she hoped was some sort of video feature. On a social network? Something like that. It would have to do for now, anyway.]

Uh. Hey. I'm Yang. [She gives the screen a little wave.] Not really sure what's going on? I found these pamphlet things but, didn't really read 'em yet.

[She pauses, and her expression turns a bit frustrated as she points over her shoulder, back towards where she had emerged after waking up.]

Look, anybody else just wake up a boat? 'cause that's a thing that happened, and it's still freaking me out a little bit.

[She sucks in a breath and then runs her hand through her hair, tugging on it in frustration.] Right, anyway. I guess I'll just...read these? 'cause that'll help... Thanks.

[She waves again and then clicks the screen off.]

Ruby! He-ow! [Yang winces at the punch, reaching up to rub at it, mostly jokingly.] Jeez sis, I'm happy to see you too.

I couldn't answer anything, I was sleeping on a boat. ...Did you just wake up on a boat too?

[Why was she talking like that...?]

Uhm.. Yeah.. When I got here a few months ago but... [Glancing to her and then towards The Bay] Why were you sleeping there? We finally get a bigger place and you opt to sleep in The Bay again?

...Months? [Jeez, she sounds as crazy as Neptune.] Ruby, I don't know what you're talking about, I've never been in 'The Bay' before. Or here.

And what do you mean months, I saw you this morning.

[And then it hit her. Maybe she should have paid attention to her communicator after all? So while she's been missing... it was because she'd returned home... She didn't know how to feel. Said that she'd left, but happy that she wasn't gone for long.... This must have been what Weiss had been talking about when Ruby had arrived. Apparently, she had done the same thing.]

I see what's going on now... Listen... This is going to sound crazy -- mostly because it's happened to me too -- but you were here for a long time before. When I got here, I was told that I was here before too and I didn't remember being here at all. Time also works differently here than back at home.

[Yang just huffs at her sister.]

You're in on this joke Neptune is spinning too, huh.

[And Weiss. And Professor Ozpin...Yang was starting to worry it might not be a joke.]

I'm sorry, but no. It's not a joke.

[Your sister is being completely serious right now. That should send some red flags, Yang.]

[Oh man, serious Ruby.]

Uh. Come on sis. This all sounds nuts.

I know how it sounds. I've been there myself. All that matters is that you're okay.

[Because she's been looking all over for you.]

[She can hear the relief and worry in her sister's voice, so Yang will throw an arm around her shoulders.]

Hey, it's me Ruby. I'm always alright, remember? [Big grin.]

Yeah, I know. Just... never disappear on me like that again... Okay?

[She's already had one important person in her life do that, she doesn't need two; Even if technically things work differently here.]

You got it, sis. [She gives her a squeeze then spins away.]

So spill. What do I need to know? Weiss told me about the board game money and stone thing.

Well, Weiss can get more into that since she's been here longer, but as far as where we live and some of the stuff you were doing before you left and came back...

We recently earned enough bills to get a house for more room since it was pretty cramped in the apartment. You used to work as a mechanic and I started to work with you when I got here, although I specialize mostly on weapons.

[No surprise there.]

A mechanic, huh. [Yang didn't know what to think of that for herself, but it sounded perfect for Ruby.]
