[After waking up with no idea where she was on a mysterious boat, and moving up from said boat to discover a city she did not recognize in the least, Yang had just plopped herself down on a nearby bench. When it came to weirdness and oddity, the teen generally needed a few minutes to really process through all of it, so that's what she was doing. It wasn't helping very much, but at least the urge to scream was starting to fade?]

[Instead she turned on the walkie-talkie thing, flipping slowly through the options until she found what she hoped was some sort of video feature. On a social network? Something like that. It would have to do for now, anyway.]

Uh. Hey. I'm Yang. [She gives the screen a little wave.] Not really sure what's going on? I found these pamphlet things but, didn't really read 'em yet.

[She pauses, and her expression turns a bit frustrated as she points over her shoulder, back towards where she had emerged after waking up.]

Look, anybody else just wake up a boat? 'cause that's a thing that happened, and it's still freaking me out a little bit.

[She sucks in a breath and then runs her hand through her hair, tugging on it in frustration.] Right, anyway. I guess I'll just...read these? 'cause that'll help... Thanks.

[She waves again and then clicks the screen off.]

Of course I do. But answer me this. I'm assuming your most recent memory of me is one where I was at Beacon. You know me, Yang. I would not abandon Beacon if it were my choice. Yet here I am, ahead of you, along with your team.

I fully admit it should not be possible, yet here we are.

So what are we doing to get back, then?

For now, nothing. As far as any of those assembled here, there is no way back to our own world that we can access consciously.

There are people and beings from other worlds with powers we have no real analogue for in our world. They have been trying longer than any of us. For now, I suggest you spend some time with your team, get acquainted with your surroundings and try to settle in.

I have not given up looking for a way home, so, for now, allow me to pursue that. You just relax.

[Yang is terrible at every single part of that sentence. Still, she shrugs after a moment.]

I guess it'll be cool to explore a whole new world, at least.

Unless you know something about this place that was not revealed to the rest of us, yes. I know it is hardly an optimal situation, however, I assure you, everything is being done to find a way back to our own worlds.

[He takes a sip of coffee.]

There is plenty to do in this place that is worthy of huntresses, and plenty that will test your skills. However, I caution you to be aware that there are beings of great power in this place.

There were reports of a boy about half your size riding a meteor the size of the dorms into the mountain range of Fayren, for starters. Beings with power far beyond anything we've seen in our own world.
