[After waking up with no idea where she was on a mysterious boat, and moving up from said boat to discover a city she did not recognize in the least, Yang had just plopped herself down on a nearby bench. When it came to weirdness and oddity, the teen generally needed a few minutes to really process through all of it, so that's what she was doing. It wasn't helping very much, but at least the urge to scream was starting to fade?]

[Instead she turned on the walkie-talkie thing, flipping slowly through the options until she found what she hoped was some sort of video feature. On a social network? Something like that. It would have to do for now, anyway.]

Uh. Hey. I'm Yang. [She gives the screen a little wave.] Not really sure what's going on? I found these pamphlet things but, didn't really read 'em yet.

[She pauses, and her expression turns a bit frustrated as she points over her shoulder, back towards where she had emerged after waking up.]

Look, anybody else just wake up a boat? 'cause that's a thing that happened, and it's still freaking me out a little bit.

[She sucks in a breath and then runs her hand through her hair, tugging on it in frustration.] Right, anyway. I guess I'll just...read these? 'cause that'll help... Thanks.

[She waves again and then clicks the screen off.]

We've got an apartment. But it's just us from our team. Scarlet and Sage aren't here.

Oh yeah, that's right... We haven't had a chance to introduce you guys to the rest of our team yet.

Nope. I figured we'd meet them when the tournament starts, but...uh.

[She kind of waves a hand vaguely towards the city as if to say 'oops?']

Who knows, maybe they'll end up here too.

[Yang grins.] I get that. It's just lucky for me everyone I'd be worried about got here first, huh?

[Well, not everyone. But most of her list, anyway...]

Yeah, that is pretty lucky. And not, at the same time.

I did get some luck myself. Sun was here before me, so he was able to fill me in on the situation.

[Yang snickers.] Imagine all of us piling out of boats at the same time.

Somehow, that would end in a lot of explosions.

Hooboy, yeah. City on fire, people running in terror. [She grins.] I think we would've been the bad guys at that point.

Probably. But we'd be able to redeem ourselves.

Oh sure, of course we would. [She just laughs.]

So what do you do here? I mean, there isn't school, right?

No, there's not school. Well, not school for us. I work at the library. I started working there in hopes that I'd find more info on this place.

Weird. I've never really done anything that wasn't school, you know? [Not for a living anyway.]

Did it work?

Neither have I.

Not... Not really. There are a lot of books.

You're a librarian, don't you read all day?

[Isn't that what librarians do?]

Most of the day. [Even though he shouldn't be spending as much time reading as he has been.]

But there are a lot of books.

That just means you've got to pick them better!

I can't risk skipping over a book. I don't know which one might actually have something.

What have you read so far?

I've almost worked my way through the history section. But none of the books are about anything even vaguely related to this place.
