[She's still getting rather settled in to the new house after the party and the celebration of new Holidays but even after the party, Blake's taken it upon herself to pretty much deep clean the home and arrange everything correctly as Weiss had mentioned wanting things.]

So...We tend to have jobs and the occasional party but, is there anything else that really drives us to do something-- I don't now-- meaningful?

With purpose? Especially after we've been taken from what seem to be rather interesting lives.

But, curiosity is getting to me so; what was your job back in your world?

I worked at a Gas Station out in the sticks. How about you?

As to the purpose of this place, it is hard to say. I imagine those who created it, if they are still present, are enjoying observing us, watching how we choose to lead our lives without their interference.

[Similar to how she did back in Inaba.]

[Quirks a brow but gives a small tilt of her head curiously.]

Gas station? Hm. I don't think I ever heard of someone working at one before, at least not in Vale.

Me? I'm just a huntress in training with my teammates. Nothing too glamorous I'm afraid.

[Gives a small nod at that.] I suppose huh?

They've yet to tell their motive but it still feels rather uncomfortable to be just observed. They'll know things of us yet we know nothing of them. In a fight, that can be deadly.

You guys don't have cars where you're from? Our job's basically just to fill 'em with fuel so they keep going.

A huntress...Not a common job where I'm from. What do you guys hunt?

[It was difficult to keep up the act of an ordinary youth when this topic came up, and her casual manner seemed to slip a little as she spoke next.]

Who's to say a fight is what they desire? Perhaps they simply seek to learn what they can for the sake of curiosity... what would they gain from fighting us?

This world is a strange one, I must admit.

Back home I was one of the candidates vying for the role of Overlord, at least until my rival broke into my home and cruelly stole my title from me.

[He huffed. Although, despite his act, this had been his goal all along.]

'Strange' might even then, not be enough of a word for this place sometimes.

Role of Overlord? Sounds rather fantasy to me. ...Sorry about your rival doing such a thing.

[Points to herself curiously.] Me?

Oh...I'm just a student at Beacon. We're training to become Huntresses to help make the world a little less scary.

Indeed, but it is certainly an...interesting sort of strange, don't you think?

Mais bien sûr! The Overlords rule the Netherworlds back home, so it is certainly a grand title if one can earn it. And thank you, I do hope I will be able to defeat him and claim the title for myself in due course. He cannot stop one of my level of power for long!

A Huntress, hm? That sounds interesting.

"What do you mean by meaningful, babes? Parties can be meaningful, social, heh, intercourse and all!" Betelgeuse pointed out. "Not sure what kinda grand designs you think we oughta have. I was a bio-exorcist back home, but there doesn't seem to be much need for that here. I haven't seen any ghost but m'self."

[Well all of that is certainly interesting, especially the ghost bit since she delves in to the macabre from time to time.]

Hm, a Bio-Exorcist? What exactly does that entail, if I may ask?

And- a ghost? I never really met one, that I can say. Ghost of the past perhaps but not an actual ghost.

"Basically, it means scaring living folks out of houses haunted by ghosts. It's to protect them...the ghosts, y'know, not the living people," Betelgeuse explained. "Yeah, I've gotten that a lot here. Pretty typical...most living folk don't seem to realize ghosts are real."

That....actually doesn't sound like too bad of a profession. A little dark but if you're doing it for your own kind... [She shrugs.]

Are you killing these people, however?

Betelgeuse gave a rude, loud snort of laughter, that was far wetter than a human should make.

"Not unless I have to, babes," Betelgeuse said. "Problem with killing someone is they become ghosts and then I gotta listen to the loser whine, whine, whine about murder and all. Hell, no, do I wanna put up with that! On the other hand, better another ghost, than letting the already dead end up in the Lost Souls room, know what I mean?"

Blake, can I ask for a favor? It's.. somewhat related.

I... may have started a company and I want to do an opening event but I'm a little understaffed. I'll pay you to work for a couple of days during the opening ceremony?

Is there any way we're going to be able to have a quiet night instead of all these parties? I don't understand how you can keep up these formal affairs.

But- fine. What do you need me to do, exactly?

It's not a party and it wouldn't be at night. It's a snowman building contest and it's in the morning through early afternoon. I need judges who aren't me at least two to three people and they can't all be from our world. Then I also need someone to sell snacks because we are not giving them away for free. I'll be in charge of the raffle tickets and participant counts, as well as announcements and hosting. Then everyone needs to be there early and later for set up and clean up, but that shouldn't be too long-- oh and I'd prefer to have some kind of DJ.

That's still a lot of energy going in to something...

What has you so perky all of the sudden? You've been practically skipping around the hallways.

I haven't been skipping...

Things have just been going really well in general lately, that's all. [ At least all she's willing to say on a public conversation. ]

Nearly sing-song-ish then.

[Raises her eyebrows curiously.] Shall we continue this conversation privately?

[ There's like two quick nods then she hangs up.

And she's going to head over to whatever room Blake is in right now and knock on the door frame. ]

[Already dressed in her nightwear and lazy clothes of pajama pants and a nicely fitted and knitted top, she opens her door and motions for Weiss to come on in.

Who knew boyfriends could bring friends closer together with talks of their experiences.]

So? How did it go?

Splendidly, of course. I mean, there were some nerves on both parts but it was definitely an experience not to have to try to smother each other with pillows to keep quiet.

[ She's not a naturally quiet person, ok. ]

[Offers Weiss a seat at the edge of her bed to make herself comfortable.]

Hm, perhaps one day I'll be able to do the same. Sun and I have had to keep quiet the two times we've done anything.

But- I'm happy for you to of been able to experience a happiness like that.

[ She goes over, totally practically skipping, and spins to sit down, patting her skirt flat on the bed before folding her hands in her lap. ]

I can recommend a good hotel in Fayren, if the two of you wanted to take a "personal vacation" of your own. Though I think we only got the presidential suite because Zuko pulled some strings, I'm not sure how the other rooms are.

[ Spoiled princess life. ]

[Yup, she's right about that bounce in her step but eh, at least it's made Weiss a little less uppity.]

Certainly was kind of Zuko to do so. Romantic, even and seems like it was quite memorable.

I take it that's why you were gone for a few days of to 'rest' up?

I wasn't lying. There was some resting involved, and it was very relaxing. And if I hadn't called it "personal" then Ruby would've wanted to come and you know it.
