 WHO: Ty Lee & Weiss Schnee
WHAT: After deciding that they should hang out more, Ty Lee asked Weiss if she'd be interested in helping her shop for warmer clothing.
WHEN: 01/13
WHERE: Wherever?

Ty Lee didn't know many people here just yet and Zuko's girlfriend seemed really nice. It was only natural that she'd want to hang out with her more and to get to know her. Obviously, Zuko was crazy about her so that had to be a good thing. Naturally, Ty lee was interested. So arriving to the destination that they decided to meet at, Ty Lee arrived early. She didn't want to be late when she was the one who invited the girl out. And thank god too, because her clothing was hardly suitable for this cold weather.

Weiss had, as always, arrived exactly on time. With what she'd been working on lately with Genessia's edition of Schnee Company, she had a somewhat busy schedule but she wasn't going to let herself completely sacrifice her whole social life for that. That included making time for new people like Ty Lee. It also meant that she couldn't arrive early if she was going to manage her time correctly, so Ty Lee's early arrival would lend the girl some time to wait.

"Ty Lee!"

Weiss called out for her as soon as she spotted her as she finished making her way over.

"You really don't have anything warm to wear, do you?" Not that she was judging her outfit, but she was judging her outfit.

Ty Lee was more than fine with waiting a while. She just wanted to make sure to be punctual and not let the girl wait on her. So she kept herself distracted by walking around on her hands for a while. Once she hear and then saw the familiar face, she looked up.

"Nope! Not yet anyways. I haven't really gotten the chance to do some shopping yet," hence partially because of this trip.

Stepping back, she returned to her feet, clapping her hands together to get rid of the snow and/or dirt off of her hands. Helping Azula out and trying to act like nothing was different kept her busy.

Weiss watched her while she was upside down, unsure if that's something she should comment on or not. Frankly Weiss wanted to comment on how it wasn't going to make for easy or comfortable conversation if she did that, but she hadn't been with her long enough to tell if she was going to do that while they were talking.

"You have money at least, right? No offense, but I can't afford to pay for a whole new wardrobe for someone I barely know."

A circus freak sort of did it a lot, but at least she wasn't doing it now.

"Of course. I wasn't planning on asking for any help with buying things," she said with a shrug. She wasn't that hard up on cash, after all. That... and when Azula found out she was going to get some warmer clothing, she kind of insisted on taking some bills, even though Ty Lee insisted she didn't need to...

Weiss is a little bit relieved, if only from force of habit. She wasn't used to anyone really asking her to go out on a friendly outing besides people from her world and Zuko. It isn't that she didn't want to, nor was it that she wasn't friends with other people, she just tended to talk to them over the network or run into them at events.

Back home, with the exception of the friends she'd made at Beacon, she was used to people asking her out and then expecting her to pay for things. It wasn't the case here, but she still did get a bit of apprehension about it.

"Is there some reason you decided to ask me?" Weiss started leading the way toward one of her preferred clothing stores within the mall as she asked.

"Well, I can see how much Zuko likes you and you were very helpful when I first got here. That, and I don't really know many people here just yet. I thought we could be friends," she said with a smile. You seem nice, Weiss. She followed her as they talked.

Sometimes it really was the simple answer. Weiss seemed to relax a little bit after she answered. Weiss knows Zuko, Ty Lee knows Zuko.

"Well, at the very least you picked out one of the best people to go shopping with. In here."

Weiss turned into the store, looking back at Ty Lee. "We'll probably have to have you try some things on. They still have tailors, but they're much more expensive than shopping here. I suggest saving them for special occasions until you get a significant income."

"That's good to hear then!" she said with a grin as she walked into the store she chose.

"Alright! Well, what would you suggest for me, since you seem to know fashion fairly well?" she asked her with a smile. Sure Ty Lee was more than capable of finding her own clothing, but she would like to get Weiss's input too. This is one way to bond with new friends, right?

"Well..."

Weiss had an idea about where to start based on her body type, but she needed to know a couple of things first.

"First of all, I need to know your favorite color- feel free to include the specific shade if you have one, if you have a preference for clothing that goes between your legs or skirts, and where you prefer your neckline in the majority of your clothing"

"Well, my favorite color is pink, but that's pretty obvious. I wouldn't mind other colors, though, too. As far as clothing preferences, I wouldn't mind skirts or dresses, but I'd probably need some sort of shorts or pants since I usually walk on my hands or do stuff like the sort," she said. Thinking about neckline, she was used to a high neckline due to uniforms or disguises. "I usually wear high necklines, but I'd be open to other ones too."

"You can wear skirts if you want to. An appropriate use of spanx, petticoats, or squarts can make the problem of flashing people obsolete."

Weiss moved into a clearish area where she could quickly do a demonstrative backflip to show Ty Lee that despite that she is wearing a skirt, there's no risk of anything being seen.

"I'm a huntress in training, so I need to be able move around a lot. You can try on whatever we pick out for you before we buy it, of course."

"Oh!" Was all she said as she watched her. Heck, if that was the case, then Ty Lee was more than okay with it. "Well, if I can look fashionable while fighting, that's even better!" she said with a grin, clapping lightly.

"What is a huntress exactly?" she asked her, curious to know as she glanced around the store at the variety of clothing.

"Precisely my sentiments."

Ty Lee wasn't so bad. Anyone who understood the benefits of combat skirts at the very least had one thing in common with her.

"A huntress is a trained warrior whose job is to protect the people, be it from the creatures of Grimm-- which are soulless monsters bent on destroying humans and Faunus-- or certain criminals within the kingdoms."

But of course! If she knew this beforehand, she probably would have done it sooner. Or maybe she did know, but fire nation fashion was just different from the fashion here or from other places.

"Ah! I see. That sounds exciting. There's a group called the Kyoshi Warriors back at home that sort of did the same thing. We used to be enemies mostly because of following Azula, but once I got to know them while I was in jail, they turned out to be really cool," she said with a smile, looking through some of the racks.

She still felt a little bad for what happened, but Azula didn't remember it and she was inclined to keep the peace and if possible her best friend.

Weiss still had to adjust to the idea of people she knows and kind of likes being in jail or on wanted posters, but it just goes to show that when you have a dictatorship, good people get the brunt of it. That's one problem she's glad she doesn't have back home. (Though she's not exactly glad for any of the problems.)

"Were they from a place called Kyoshi or was their leader named Kyoshi?"

Hey, she hasn't gotten the in-depth background info about much besides Zuko himself. Weiss is perusing through some things, pulling out three skirts and holding it out to Ty Lee.

"I need you to try on all three of these and tell me which one fits. I can guess fairly well, but I'd rather be safe than sorry regarding your size."

Well, if it makes any difference... She saved her best friend, your boyfriend, and his friends? So her time in jail wasn't exactly for a bad cause.

"Yep! That's them! Kyoshi was the original leader, but I believe the girl who leads it now is called Suki?" she shrugged. She's fought with her a few times, but besides that hadn't really taken time to get to know much about her besides that.

Taking the skirts, she nodded and started for a dressing room after grabbing a shirt that she just saw that she liked.

"We can always find the right size as we go too," she shrugged.
