[Blake pops up on the screen looking more than a little concerned. And why shouldn't she be? Her partner has been missing for an entire day and night now, something very much not like her, and Blake is starting to fear the worst.]

Yang, if you can hear this, answer me. Ruby's worried sick.

[She sighs, pausing for a moment.]

If anybody else has heard from her today, can you contact one of us?

One of your friend's missing?

[There's a pause on her end as if she's debating answering but, this is Yang she's talking about. She'll take whatever help she can.]

Yes. Since yesterday morning.

[hey it wasn't him. at least not this time.]

...Does she have any enemies here?

[adam isn't concerned for this friend at all, but blake was so...]

[She didn't say that. Besides, when was playing dumb about something he'd done ever Adam's style?]

Unfortunately, yes. A little while ago somebody here came after one of us. We managed to get her back but... Yang's been trying to track him down on her own ever since.

I'm worried that she may have gotten in over her head.

[adam raises a hand to his chin in thought.]

That's most likely the case then. Who is this person?

[She'll switch over to a private feed for this. Just in case. There's no way of knowing who might be listening in right now.]

.. Has anybody told you about "M" yet?

[that sounds familiar.]

I heard that before, just once. I was never told what it meant.

That's the only name we have for this person. Whoever it is, he's only ever spoken to any of us through text and signed them with that initial.

[Her frown deepens and there's a definite undercurrent of quiet anger in her tone.]

He took our friend and put her into a death trap, and then sent us clues and taunted us to come find her in time.

[If he was the one who had Yang.... But then, where were the clues and the taunts this time?]

[sounds like something the current white fang would do, honestly.]

And you've heard no taunts or clues this time? No word at all, correct?

[And she would disagree. The White Fang might do terrible things to prove a point or accomplish a goal, but that almost felt like M was just killing time.]

No. There's been nothing this time.

[Members of team RWBY just constantly disappear on each other, huh?]

She didn't come home last night or has she been gone for longer?

[It's three out of four now. It's starting to get ridiculous.]

Since after the party. At first we thought she decided to stay out longer but this is way too long.

We've been looking for her since last night.

[Weiss' turn next, then. Just so everyone has had their chance.]

You should have said something sooner. I'd have come out and helped you guys look. [Yang is Blake's friend plus she is pretty cool. And she also came out into a blizzard for him. So yeah, he's got no problem devoting time to look for her.]

[No way. After they find Yang, everybody's operating on the buddy system from here on out.]

Well, we're not done yet. I just thought I'd try to reach her here.

Even if it is a long shot.

[Ruby had started looking for Yang late in the afternoon yesterday. She didn't sleep much last night without having heard anything from her sister and was up again early to go out and look again.]

No one I've run into has seen or heard anything from her.

[Sigh.]

Me neither, and I've already checked everywhere I can think of.

What next?

[Because sorry, Ruby, but you're the one in charge.]

Next? I don't know, we keep looking?

[Great leadership skills there Ruby.]

...You don't think it's that M guy again, do you?

[That would be the best thing to do.]

Do you guys have any clue what could have happened to her?

Then it's someone else. If it were the same person trying different tactics, there would still be signs of how they acted previously. Old habits die hard, no one can run from themselves.

[he sighed slightly.]

You know your friend, where would she go to track down this person? That would be your best bet. Remember Blake, not only should you think like Yang would, think like a criminal. If she got in over her head, then where would they take her to?

[he taught her a lot as they grew up, but he always felt the need to remind her how to act.]

I think it doesn't do any good to speculate.

I've exhausted everything I can think of. We need to decide our next move.

[She shakes her head.]

She left the party sometime after midnight and that was the last we saw of her. She was hitting some of the nightclubs, trying to get information from some of the people there, but I've already looked into those.

[Her eyes narrow and she looks aside, not feeling very pleased with herself either at the moment.]

I should have tracked her down right away. If I had, this might not have happened.

You're right.

[There's a pause as the gears in her head start turning.]

Well... We aren't getting anywhere on our own.

Maybe we should get Weiss and any one else willing to help out and meet up at the apartment? We can decide what to do from there?

Right.

[The lessons were still there, but hearing them spoken outloud, in Adam's voice, brought them back to the forefront and gave her something to focus on besides her own worry and frustration.]

[She closes her eyes for a moment, taking a slow breath. Don't just think like yourself. Put yourself in your enemy's mind, think of things from their perspective, and decide how to act accordingly.]

They wouldn't have taken her easily. So... they'd need some place where they could keep her secured, and away from help. Not out in the open, or in the main part of the city.

Right.

[And that's a relief. Blake is a skilled tracker, to be sure, but this is too big a job to handle on her own. But working with others? Pulling a plan together from nothing? That's never been her strength.]

I can be back there within the hour.

[Gamagori remembers Yang. She'd been one of the more friendly people to respond to his post. That indicated some level of respect, and thus, he liked her. Her vanishing does not sit well with him.]

I take it this is uncharacteristic of her?
