Hello, Genessia.

[ the blonde teenager on the other end of the line gives the device a warm smile. there's a subtle accent accompanying her voice, and those from a version of earth with a land down under may recognize it as australian. ] My name is Katherine, and I was brought here from Angel Grove, California — that's Earth, since it sounds like there may be some kidnapees here who may not be from that planet.

Kidnapee. [ heh ] Never thought I'd fancy myself one of those.

[ except she has. more than a few times. first with the whole evil and turning into a cat situation, then with just living the ranger life and being a resident of angel grove. nearly or successfully getting kidnapped was part of the daily rush at this point, except she usually gets nabbed while morphed. it didn't seem like king mondo was behind this, but katherine knew better than to rule out the machine empire's involvement. or to give up hope on being found in spite of what that girl in the hologram said about not being able to get home. billy and alpha were resourceful, and they had access to technology that most didn't. ]

This is a lot to take in. I'm not sure where I'm supposed to start...

[It thankfully doesn't take the young girl too long before she is able to find the other as she waves and makes her way over.]

[ so helpful for someone so young! katherine's reminded of the way she was while time was rewound. ]

[With that she starts to walk, knowing where to go.]

As you can see this place can be nice and peaceful. I mean things have happened now and again, but it seems like it gets taken care of. Plus we have Guardians of the cities who protect the place.

Well, I'm awfully glad to have your help, Hikari.

[ katherine follows just behind the much younger girl. ]

Guardians? What sort of guardians, and how do they go about protecting the cities?

[Stop stops for a moment, waiting until she could cross before she continues to walk.]

I guess guardians as in... Like super heroes in stories is the best way to put it. That's what they are like.

Like Superman or the Power Rangers?

[ quiet segue into ranger territory to see if anyone here has even heard of them. if katherine has to morph at any point, she may very well be the first power ranger this place has ever seen. ]

I don't know what a power ranger is exactly. I just assume it's like a super hero.

[It's a complete guess as she continues to walk.]

We are close by now. So it shouldn't be too long now.

They're protectors. Angel Grove's under attack quite a bit, but the Power Rangers ensure that the city remains safe.

[ she's not sure whether hikari having no idea who the rangers are is a good thing or not. ]

I don't know how I strayed so far in the opposite direction. Suppose I'll have time to learn the streets if I'm going to be here a while.

Oh, that's wonderful. I mean I'm glad it has people to protect it.

[Never the less she is impressed.]

Yeah... But it doesn't take long to learn them all. So I'm sure someone like you will learn in no time.

So am I. Otherwise, we'd be in a lot of trouble. Angel Grove might not even be standing.

[ nevermind rita would've taken over the world long before lord zedd popped in to see how things were going. ]

There you are.. the building is right in front of us. This place should help you in terms of finding an apartment and work.

Oh, I walked by this earlier! I didn't realize what it was.

[ she laughs at herself, shaking her head. she'd been too focused on trying to get her communicator to get through what she assumed was dimensional interference that she failed to notice that it had been the building she needed. ]
