3 cookies eaten. [Video/Action]
[When Ruby pops up on the video screen today she's a whole more serious than she normally does. Her sister is missing and she's gone into "Leader" mode for the moment. Ain't no one got time for silliness right now.]
My sister Yang hasn't been seen or heard from since the New Years Party a couple days ago. If anyone has any information on where she might be, please speak up about it.
That said, I'm putting together a search party to try and get and track her down, anyone interested can either respond to me here or meet me in the lobby of Tupelo Alley in next two hours.
-Oh! Right, and a big thanks to anyone who helps out.
[And after that Ruby can be found pacing around the lobby of her apartment building. Waiting for anyone to show up or get a hold of her.]

Um. Hello?
1/2 [Video]
2/2 [Video]
[The phone gets all shuffled about, plenty of movement sounds coming from the screen until Ruby's staring at a green-eyed girl with red hair.] Hey, who's this? Did Bit call you?
no subject
Uhmm... Hello! I'm Ruby.
I-I guess he kind of answered my call you could say, uhmmm... My sister is kind of missing and I'm trying to organize a search party.
...Would you like to help out?
no subject
Missing persons? [Yeesh, she's not so good at that.] Huh, well... we're all from different worlds, right? You think your sister might put put some kind of unique energy signature? Maybe I can whip up something to help find her.
Y'know, like a... sisterdar, or something.
Where was she anyway? [Keep in mind she missed the initial announcement - she was too busy taking apart her oven to find out how it works.]
no subject
Uhmmm, well her Aura is kind of unique.... That might do it?
...She kind of went missing after the big new years party the other night.
no subject
Well see, back where I come from there were these stones that emit a rather unique signature of energy. We used them for all kinds of things. I made a way to sniff those out... In theory, I could do the same for this girl - your sister.
I'd just need to, uh... be able to get a read on it somehow. But I need to narrow down a method.
[She stops and rubs her chin. Then an idea comes to her, and the look in her eyes is perhaps frighteningly studious as she looks at Ruby's image on the phone.]
... Say, do you have an aura?
no subject
[Ruby doesn't get it at all.]
So without her around to lock onto her aura it'll be hard to get the sisterdar to work properly right?
[Wait. Why is Amelia looking at her like that.]
Uhmm... Yeah, Yeah I do.
no subject
Yes! I don't know the first thing about auras, but the first thing I need to determine is just how they can be picked up. It could be something in the air, it could be unique electronic signals emitted from your body, or something totally different!
So come to my house. We've got some experimenting to do.
[And then the feed cuts out.]
[Then it turns back on!]
Oh! I live at the Matisse, room 201!
[And then it's off again.]
no subject
[And the feed cuts out.
She does not want to be a science experiment.
Oh no. Oh no.
Oh hey, the feed's back on.]
Wait I didn't sign up for any experi-
[And it's gone again.
She'll let out a sigh and start to head over to the Matisse. Amelia was only trying to help, this wasn't going to hurt, was it?
A little while later Amelia might hear a tiny, feint knock on her door. Ruby is terribly nervous about this.]
no subject
Oh so it's you! Great!
[She closes the door again, unfastens the latch, and then opens it wide.] We've got work to do! Come on!
[She steps into her house, over things. It seems she's wasted no time making a mess, but most of it are parts of various appliances that had come from the house. One of the walls is even cut open - seems she was rifling through the wiring for the electricity. Seems she keeps her blinds closed too.]
Tell me about this aura of yours! What's it all about?
no subject
[She's clearly pretty nervous about all this as she steps into the apartment behind Amelia.
Wow, this girl sure was messy. Ruby struggles to find a clear spot to stand without stepping on something that looks important. The fact that Amelia seemed keen on tearing apart everything for her experiments just got her even more worried.]
Okay well everyone has an aura, well at least everyone in my world. Unless you don't have a soul, but that's just the creatures of Grimm for the most part. Our Aura's are like a manifestation of our soul, they can protect is from getting hurt like a shield or be used for a bunch of other abilties.

[Amelia moved over to some... contraption. It looked like it was one part TV, one part oven, one part Xbox, and had wires. Lots of wires. She gestures Ruby closer.] And what's yours do then? Hm?
[When Ruby approaches, Amelia would turn to her and immediately stick something to her forehead. A suction cup, sort of, with some goopy sort of junk to keep it stuck there.]
no subject
Ugh... Yuck! What's on that thing?
[She'll give it a light tug but it doesn't come right off.]
What is that thing even supposed to do?
[Deep breath, okay time to talk about her aura and semblance, that'll take her mind off the scary machine.]
Unmm, well you see, it makes me go fast... Like I run and move really really fast.
no subject
I'm going to monitor your brainwaves. This test is to compare your brain to my brain. I want to see how it's different. I'd take x-rays but I don't have a machine. I kinda jerry-rigged this machine here just barely. Did you know most of those things you people play these "video games" on have sensor technology? I can't believe you people just play games on them.
Anyway, it's not going to hurt, so try not to be a big baby.
[While Ruby explains what her aura does, Amelia turns on the machine. It's clunky, and noisy, but the screen on it seems to have numbers and a line diagram being drawn on it. Yup, that's brain activity alright! Who woulda thought that Ruby had so much going on up there?]
Run fast, hmmmm...? [She looks to Ruby, a glint in her eye.] ... Then we have more tests to do later!
no subject
Uhmmmm... Right.
[She has no idea what Amelia's talking about when it comes to "sensor technology.]
You're sure it wont hurt? like really sure?
[Oh huh. It doesn't hurt at all. Okay she'll just kind of stand there awkwardly while the machine does it job.]
More tests? Do we have to? I think we're good with just this, right?
...RIGHT!?
1/3
Good like this? No! In fact...
[The machine Amelia's using looks to be about as large as your average computer tower. That said, she ushers her little robot assistant over, who hurries to her.]
Bit, find me the battery, would you?
2/3
3/3
Let's go!
[She picks up the machine and carries it, marching past Ruby. She's not slowing down, in fact the wires might pull taut if Ruby hesitates too long. Amelia makes for the door, grabbing a coat and awkwardly throwing it on. Looks like this experiment is being taken outside, whether Ruby likes it or not!]
Re: 3/3
G-go!? Go where!?
[Yep, she certainly does hesitate long enough for the wires to get pull taught and she stumbles forward before she starts to walk along behind Amelia.]
Y-you sure this is going to work? Do you think you'll be able to make something to find my sister?
Re: 3/3
[She carries on, walking Ruby down the street while she's attached to this weird machine.] Anyway, we're going to the gym. I wanna get some readings on you while you... well, as you said, "run fast." If your aura somehow affects your body while you use its 'ability,' then maybe there's a base there that's the same between all auras.
If that's true, then your sister has one too. And if I can get that signal, then I can try and find her. It'd be a lot better if I could pin-point it to HER aura, but I gotta make due with what I have. But the more auras I can sample, the better. Hey, know anyone else with an aura?
no subject
[That's pretty amazing, she isn't going to lie.]
B-b-but you don't really act very modest?
[Sorry Amelia, she's too derp to beat around the bush about that. Her eyes go wide when Amelia says they're going to the gym, but she doesn't complain about it. This was for her sister after all, she's just going to have to take the embarrassment for Yang.]
Uhmmm... Maybe, probably, yeah I do know other people with them.
[And she'll throw all her friends under the bus too.]
no subject
Well good. Sometime I'll have to hook them up to this machine too. Until then, maybe you're the best one since you're related to your sister. Do you think auras somehow have family ties? [No time to answer! She's already shrugging.] Eh, it's worth a shot anyway. Nothing ventured, nothing gained!
[So Amelia gets Ruby all the way to Thud's Gym. That a stupid name, Thud... Well, in any case, it's more than Amelia could have asked for. Naturally she'd never stepped foot in the place before then.] Hmmm...! [It all looks so advanced to her! But she finds what she's looking for easily. Treadmills! She walks Ruby over to an available one and looks at it.] This ought to do it. So, all you gotta do is get on and... well... run!
