[Neptune had been meaning to make this announcement for some time, but... Well, it didn't seem appropriate when that tower had been in the middle of the city. But there wasn't any reason to put it off anymore, so here he was. This was going to be kind of a new thing for him, but he had confidence in himself.]

So, since you're a librarian, what was the last book you enjoyed?

Hmm... That's a tough one... If I had to pick, I'd say probably "Zeus Grants Stupid Wishes". It's a book about various myths for different cultures but told... In an interesting way. I laughed pretty hard while reading it.

(ooc: that was just the book that was closest to me on my desk but YOU SHOULD REALLY READ IT, IT'S FUCKING HILARIOUS)

That's why I didn't ask for a favorite. Ya can't just pick one when there's so much out there.

That sounds great. Kinda reminds me of Badass:The Birth of a Legend, which looks as myths, epics and pop culture. Author also wrote a history book of his world in the same style.

Myths can get kinda crazy. I know someone who came from a family that worshipped a giant flying squid.

I'll have to find that one. Myths of other worlds are fascinating.

Yeah, and it's an interesting way to see what different cultures have in common.

It's called N'Rygoth. My acquaintance don't worship him, but somehow she can still cast healing spells.

Yeah. There are always a lot of really similar themes, or in some cases exact copies of the same gods and creatures.

So she uses faith-based magic that... Doesn't require constant worship to the god? Huh. Interesting.

Exactly, and whatever cataclysmic event that happens when the gods are pissed.

I guess she believes the magic comes from within, or something. Maybe the source of the belief ain't as important as its strength?

That could work be it. It makes sense, anyway.
