III ✿ AURA 【Log】
Who: Ty Lee & Neptune Vasilias
What: Weiss saw Ty Lee's ad in the paper and decided to set Ty Lee and Neptune up.
When: 02/14
Where: The designated restaurant that was decided on.
Ty lee was used to having dates back home or at least people interested in her (as stated by Mai that she needed 10 boyfriends), so she was almost glad to be able to go on a date again here. Still, a date meant it was a possible love interest and new friend. Some people felt tense during dates and especially blind ones, but for Ty Lee, she felt more relaxed. Sure it was a good idea to give off a good impression, but she also didn't want to become too tense and worried about it.
She'd even decided to wear one of the many outfits that she bought while hanging out with Weiss; one that reminded her more of home, although the rest was still cute. Ty Lee arrived early to make sure that she wouldn't keep him waiting. From what Weiss told her, he was very cute and would stick out with his blue hair. At least it meant it was easier to spot him.
Just like how she usually passed the time, she decided to walk around a little bit on her hands outside of the restaurant. That's a hard habit to break right there.

Of course, he thought she might have been joking about Ty Lee's habit of doing things like walking on her hands. Not that he was bothered by the thought of it; he'd just never met anyone that did anything like that. So when he spotted a girl doing just that outside the restaurant, he knew it was her.
"You must be Ty Lee." He quickly looked her up and down, or rather down and up. Her outfit was cute, but functional, and fit her well.

"That's me! You must be Neptune," she said with a grin. She took a moment to examine him closer before cocking her head to the side, "Weiss was right.. You are cute." He was very fashionable too, just as she'd heard from Weiss.
no subject
"I am." This gets a little bit of laughter out of him. "You're pretty cute, too." He offers her his arm. "Well, shall we go in?"
no subject
Once he offered his arm, she gave him a smile and nodded as she accepted it. "Of course. It's nice to meet you in person."
no subject
"It's nice to meet you, too." He'll lead them inside, letting the hostess know that they're here for a reservation. Once they get to the table, he pulls her chair out for her.
no subject
Once he pulled out her chair for her, she gave her thanks with a smile and took a seat down. "So you're from Weiss's world, huh?"
Wow, for someone who usually has a few boys around her -- not so much here as back home -- she didn't really know what to talk about in a date. Well, whatever. It would come to her as the night went on. She'll be alright. Hopefully that was at least something to start off of.

He sits down and starts scanning through the menu. "I am. And you're from Zuko's world, right?"
no subject
"That's right. I'd like to say he was a childhood friend, but I was always close to his sister, Azula. I actually don't know if Zuko even thinks of me as a friend, to be honest," she shrugged. Although she'd personally just like to be friends without being "one of Azula's friends" all the time.
no subject
"Has he always been so cranky?" He'd only talked to Zuko a couple of times, but he'd been wondering this for awhile. And now he finally had someone he could ask that wasn't likely to get angry about it.
no subject
"Preeettyy much. He's always been pretty cranky. I think he's gotten a little bit better since helping the Avatar though.. and being here. Just a little bit," she shrugged. "You should see when we have to force him to take a vacation. Because that went so well," she said, attempting to joke about it but really... Being expressively called a "circus freak" even if he'd apologized for it already was still clear in her mind.
no subject
"I kind of figured he'd be a bucket of fun." But yet, Weiss still managed to see something worthwhile in him. "So what exactly is the Avatar? A spiritual leader?"
no subject
She should be rooting for the Fire Nation and Azula, but... even she knew that things were getting out of hand. She cared about Azula obviously, but with Zuko "betraying" them to help the Avatar... Ty Lee really thought it was better for him. She really had no qualms about it.
"I guess I should be supporting the Fire Nation, but I can't bring myself to do it anymore. I don't really regret my actions back home, I just... wish that I didn't have to hurt Azula like I did..." she let out a sigh.
no subject
Well, this conversation wasn't really going down the road he expected. But he was honestly curious about her world, so it was still nice to learn any kind of information about it.
"War isn't really a cut and dry sort of thing. There's no reason you can't support the people of the Fire Nation that are supporting the effort for peace."
no subject
"No, I'm not a bender myself, but I can block chi," she shrugged. "I think... once this is all said and done... Zuko would be a great Fire Lord. I know he and the Avatar can bring peace and the war can end. Until then, I guess I'll just be trapped back home, but that's okay.
But now they needed something more... positive because she didn't intend to make this conversation go down hill. "You said something about semblances? What are those like?" hopefully that would be a better conversation.
no subject
"You can block chi? I'm assuming that ends up blocking bending?"
He takes a moment to think of how to best explain semblances. "It's a lot like bending, I think. Most people are able to control something, whether it be elemental like bending, or something like light to create illusions."
no subject
"I see... Does everyone have one from your world?" and after a short pause to think for a moment, "If so, what's yours like?"
no subject
"No, not everyone. Again, it's a lot like bending from what it sounds like. Oh. Mine is [insert whatever his semblance might be here]."

He nodded. "It can be control over pretty much anything. Which can make for some pretty interesting fights. Especially when you add Dust to the mix."
no subject
"Dust? I've only vaguely heard about that from Weiss, but I'm not exactly sure what that is," she commented.
