[Mandatory vacation? He's so there! The video comes in and there is a figure in a black hood sitting on one of the welcome pods, legs dangling over the side.

In his hands is a large blue sitar, and he begins to play. If one could see his face, he'd be smiling as it's one of his favourite things to do. The box is beside him, but he's surprisingly talented when he puts effort into it and this?

This is his very first performance.]

It's the same family of instruments, in that it's a string instrument, but the sound is completely different. It plays very similar to a guitar.

To someone unfamiliar, that's one way to look at it, but everything about how it's made to the tension in the strings is different. It's completely different.

That's interesting. Is it the only instrument you play?

It is these days. I think I used to play others but I don't really remember. I like my sitar, so it's good enough.

[Her not remembering something was something she could relate to.]

Nah, not really. It was a long time ago, like ages really.

[He smiles an easy grin.]

Practically a whole other lifetime.

I wish I could understand what you mean by what you just said, but I don't. What do you mean by a long time ago or a whole other lifetime?

[He visibly flinches at that and seems to think back on what he's saying.]

[He needs to think before he speaks. Clearly. He's not dealing with an audience who knows what he's talking about and how long has it been since he's done that?]

The things I've forgotten, or the things that mattered to me when I was...younger, it's been seven or maybe eight years since then? So it's a long time.

[He's not even sure how long it's been. Wow, time has really flown.]

[She can't recall anything from before she was a certain age. It was something she didn't think about much though.]

Exactly like that. For the most part. It isn't entirely nothing, but compared to normal people, it's very very little. It's just how these things go.

[It's something he thinks about, but one of those things they're not supposed to talk about.]

I get it. I don't actually remember my life from before I was a certain age, myself. So it's not odd to me to not know about ones childhood.

I think it's supposed to be unusual, but I just don't remember.

That's fine. Though I think you might have to think about getting settled soon. Maybe that might have been a good idea for me to do.

[He tilts his head a little bit.]

Well it's not like you'll be going home any time soon. Unless you want to live on the street. I won't judge if you do.

Oh. Hmm. I wouldn't mind, but I might miss my bed that way. I kind of like having one.
