[ She looks pretty earnestly concerned while she says it, but after an appropriate pause, she adds an afterthought of sorts. It looks like she's posting from a chair and a table with a window in the background too, much higher up and nicer looking than her previous crap motel situation. ]

I guess it really is a little more dangerous around here than we thought, maybe someone will catch the guy soon.

[ Oh well. Now that she's done her concerned friend civic duties, she'll move on to a little more interesting topic. ]

Ehn, things have been a more relaxed in the non-Genessia archways. I've been trying to think of not-boring things to do. My question for everyone is: What are the funniest or worst dares you've ever done?

Fine, how's this? When I was a kid, I got dared to rob an ice cream truck and eat all of the ice cream I'd stolen. I was so sluggish after eating all the ice cream that I couldn't run when the guy found me so I got carried into the station and had to sleep it off on a police bench while they tried to figure out where my parents were.

[ One of her first criminal attempts! Or was it? It's hard to tell if she's being truthful or not. ]

[Roman's not hard to read, but his laughter is especially easy. Most of the time it's affected cackling and sarcastic chortles, but when he's genuinely amused he has this embarrassing giggle that sounds more like a little girl than a crime lord. Congrats Emerald, you got the giggle.]

So that's why you won't do anything else interesting! Don't worry, maybe you'll be up for dares again when the whole incident's a few years behind you and the embarrassment has faded.

[ Bad question. It only results in snark, doesn't it? She regrets it as soon as she says it. ]

[He does his best impression of a therapist, putting on a concerned face and speaking in slow, calming tones.]

Mercury's dare was a good first step, but if you work with me we can talk you through this shame. With time and healing we could restore you to your 9-year-old glory.
