Two Japanese shop owners meet a French Maid [Closed]
WHO: Sakuya Izayoi, Yuuko Ichihara and Clow Reed.
WHERE: On the streets of Genessia City.
WHEN: 2/22 ish
WHAT: Yuuko and Clow are looking for a cook and maid (as per their newspaper ad). They happen to come across a young woman in a maid outfit as they take a walk in Genessia.
WARNINGS: None that I can think of right now. Will update if needed.
It was a beautiful day to take a walk in the streets of Genessia. Yuuko didn't had much trouble convincing Clow to come with her so that she could pay a visit to Fai at the Cat's Eye Café, buy some more tobacco, sake and hairpins.
So here they were, two tall figures in traditional Japanese outfits walking arms in arms. Yuuko was looking around her happily. Every now and then she would point enthusiastically at a shop window and drag her patient and ever smiling companion along with her. The more the day went, the more packages Clow was carrying too.
They turned in yet another street but this time, it's not a shop that caught Yuuko's attention but a person. A girl in a very distinctive maid outfit.
Yuuko leaned toward Clow to whisper conspiratorially in his ear. "You think she's a real maid or just one of those waitresses like they have in Tôkyô's Maid Cafés?" Because they were actually looking for a maid to help them with their house and the wish shop so, why not?

They definitely stood out, walking down the street of Genessia City wearing such outfits. Almost nobody else was, but it wasn't entirely strange, either. This was Genessia City, the only place he'd ever seen where you can see someone dressed in a futuristic robot suit one minute and 1500's knight armor the next.
When Yuuko asked her question, Clow Reed turned to her, still smiling as he always does. "I wouldn't be surprised to learn that there are a few maid cafés here," he replied. But something about her... "That would be perfect, though. You wanted a maid, and a cook. Why not a maid that cooks?"

As she approached it became more and more apparent that she was likely an actual maid as opposed to wearing a costume. Her uniform was well kept but worn in. Practical and made of aesthetically pleasing, though easy to clean materials. She moved comfortably in it, her stride quick and refined, the fabric never bending out of place as she continued on her way. Her pocket watch was no cheap thing either. Or at least the case wasn't. But it was doubtful that anyone would put a cheap timepiece in something like that. If they were especially observant they may spot the sheath carrying the hunting knife strapped to her left thigh.
She looked back down to her list, and over to the shop they were standing by... great that's where she needed to go...
Taking a breath, she readjusted the basket over her arm, folding her list up with one hand and tucking it in her apron pocket. Readjusting her scarf she turned to head into the shop...

"Wouldn't it just?" She tapped Clow's sleeve playfully with her finger. "But let's not get overly enthusiastic, shall we? It's not because she's grocery shopping that she can actually cook." But something told Yuuko that this girl would know how to cook too. Not observation, purely instinct. And her unconditional faith in fate, or hitsuzen as she called it. You didn't meet people by chance. They were meant to cross your path at the precise moment when you needed them. No coincidence.
As Sakuya braced herself to walk past them, Yuuko didn't hesitate. She took a step forward effectively placing herself right between the maid and the shop's door. Then she feigned surprise, as she all but bumped into Sakuya. She fanned herself in a very lady-like manner and looked at the maid over the edge of her fan. "Oh! My apologies, Miss. Am I in your way?"

He wasn't going to approach her, at least, not at first sight. But of course, he's not Yuuko, and despite her advisory of caution against 'getting overly enthusiastic,' sure enough, there she went. Oh well. Perhaps this truly was fate, after all.
He stayed silent, his eyes closed, his expression the same as always; a smile, as if he didn't have a single care in the world. He followed every step of hers, as if it couldn't have been choreographed better. He knew exactly what she was going for; placing herself in between Sakuya and the store, and then acting as if it were a total accident. She couldn't have been more obvious.
His eyes opened for a brief moment, scanning the maid. Yes, it was clear she was indeed a maid by profession, and not at a maid cafe, like Yuuko might have hoped. Oh well. Mayhbe they would need to hire both a maid and a cook after all, instead of someone who can easily do both.

She remained still for several moments, sizing the two up. It was clear they did not get in her way by accident and she wasn't entirely sure what to make of it. They didn't appear to be directly armed so it would be safest to assume they were magic users... The maid took a slow breath, squaring her shoulders.
"Quite alright." Still cautious. "If you'll excuse me I have shopping to do." She was not in the mood to get into a fight. Coming into work with injuries would get her scolded. Not to mention it would make her very late.

She bowed slightly in greeting, taking a step back to give the other girl more room while still remaining in her way. "My name is Yuuko Ichihara. I'm the owner of a shop in Fayren which you might have seen if you ever happen to go there sometimes. Anyway... would you happen to be currently employed as a maid?"
Both falsely casual and truly straightforward, that was Yuuko for you.

Yuuko was being about as subtle as a bull in a China shop, with what she wanted to ask Sakuya, but he couldn't say he disagreed with her. Sakuya did seem like a good choice, but if she didn't want to be employed by them, he wasn't sure if there was anything either of them could to do to persuade her otherwise.
"I live with Yuuko, as well," he answered. "And we have neither a maid, nor a cook employed, there."
