[The video feed starts up and shows a young man in a cowboy hat. He doesn’t look all that happy at the moment, and that’s not just because he’s stuck here.]

I’ve barely been in this place a couple of days, and already I had to make repairs to my apartment. Is throwing a paper through the window what I should typically expect from the newspaper? Because if so, I’d like to just go ahead and unsubscribe now. I’ll just buy it myself when I go out in the morning.

[He sighs a little and looks to the window that he patched up himself. He had to go and buy materials to do so, and he was hoping not to have to spend his money on needless things until he got a job. He turned his attention back to the device. Now, introductions were probably in order.]

So as you can probably tell, I’m new to this place. The name’s Irvine Kinneas. Nice to meet you all. I haven't made much use of this device since I've still been getting settled in and all and trying to learn the place. Kind of an interesting setup that they have going here.

I assume you had something broken by the newspaper guy to right? Try having that happen so many times. It gets annoying. I would consider maybe boarding your windows with something to protect them.

I hope you managed to settle as best as you can... I guess it looks like you have, which is good.

[ She'd only just arrived and started trying to look through the posts once she'd gotten out of the Bay-- mostly because it seemed like she'd be able to get some help, hopefully. ]

I guess? I didn't see who threw it. [For all he knew, it could have just been some guy that was going around breaking windows and not just the newspaper guy.] It's happened to you a lot, I take it?

And I have so far. At least as best as could probably be expected from a strange situation like this.

It isn't. It's really annoying. And its only happened to me once so far. [If it was a common probably, he'd have to reenforce his windows or something.]

Since I just got here today, I haven't found a place to stay yet. At least I can't have a broken window if I don't have one, right?

That's not a very hard problem to fix. Renting a place was pretty easy. You just gotta budget your money.

Things were a lot easier last time I went through something like this.

[ In a way. On the one hand, no one's threatening to turn them all to stone and never let them leave if they don't do what he wants. On the other hand, they got some mega luxury suites, food, and just had to go to school. Her job was making sure that a handful of gods actually learned something and participated. ]

I wonder if there's a nice place around that isn't too expensive.

[ She honestly has no idea what to do for a job. In fact, she has even fewer options now that she's not in her home world or Zeus's Garden.. ]

You went through something like this before? [He feels pretty sorry for her, having to go through something like this twice and all. Going through it once seemed bad enough. But at least that just means she had experience dealing with it.]

And there are. I look at some really nice apartments that don't cost an arm and a leg. You just probably need to get a job ASAP so you don't go broke within a couple of months.

Well not this exactly... it was a lot clearer why we were there last time, and Zeus-san made sure to explain everything clearly, even if he was being entirely unfair.

[ She nods in agreement. ] I'm not really sure what I would want to do, but I'm sure I'll find something.

If that Zeus-san guy is the one that took you, at least you got to know who was behind it all. And why. [He wasn't sure if that would change his feeling on this situation, but it would be nice to know all that stuff.]

You aren't the only one. I think I might try applying at a restaurant or something. At least for a starter job. [Something to have some sort of source of income.]

He took me and a bunch of gods and threatened to keep us there forever if we didn't do what he wanted, I don't know that that's better or worse than not having a clear answer about if we'll even get to go home.. The others were nice though, even if it took a while for some of them to open up, so it was pretty fun after some time.

[ She nods. ] I have experience working at a shrine, I'm sure I can help out there until I figure it out.

That guy must have been pretty powerful to do something like that. [Like, seriously powerful. Especially if the people that were taken with her were actually gods.] It's good that you had some fun there. Hopefully this place will be the same for you.

If you're thinking about getting work at a shrine, you might have to ask around to see if there is even one here.

You don't need to, all one knows is they are the same person every time. It happens on the same day every week as well that's how you know.

[She nods slightly.] About three, four times or something. Kind of lost count after a certain amount.

Now that is just a crime. A beautiful girl like you should be getting treated so much better.

Well, Zeus-san was like.. king of gods. His son and brother were amongst the gods he took with us too. Though the others I think he just took because he felt he needed to. [ Strange as it was. She hadn't quite figured out why it was so important yet, though, and thought it was still just a whim. ]

Oh.. you're right! [ Looks like she hadn't thought that through. ] And if there is, they might not need help..

It would be useful to keep iron railings along your windows that can be opened from the inside. Simple really.

[She nods and notes his name. It seems like there is a rapid influx of people in the city as of late. Curious.]

Yeah. It is an odd situation, but I'm thinking if we find answers then maybe we could leave when that happens.

Exactly! Though there is someone else whose got it worse. Another girl they seem to be picking on. So I've been thinking of doing something about it.

Man, sounds like everyone's getting that whole newspaper-through-window thing lately.

Doing something like what? I hope not anything that will put you in danger.

Then let's hope we all manage to find some answers sooner rather than later. Though, getting to be in the company of such beautiful women like yourself isn't a bad thing. Maybe I shouldn't be in a rush.

And yet no one has gone out of their way to fix it. Or alert you to it when you first arrive.

Yeah, but iron railings would kind of look hideous on the windows. It'd make me feel like I'm in a prison. [Not that being brought to this place and told he couldn't leave didn't achieve that feeling well enough.]
