[Closed Log]
WHO: Demyx and Rapunzel
WHAT: Demyx needs a mural painted in his new apartment to liven it up a little. Because he can.
WHEN: March 1st
WHERE: Genessia
WARNINGS: None whatsoever. Might even be cute.
As promised, Demyx got in touch once he'd settled in his new bachelor apartment. There was nothing terribly exciting about it, everything was white, just like he was familiar with. He'd gotten a white bed, but went a little fun and got blue bedding. The walls were white, the carpet was white...everything else was as sterile as ever. The only change was that he had his sitar propped up against the wall in the corner of the room, simply because he could.
All in all, it reminded him of home. He wasn't entirely sure that was a good thing, but that was just how it was. He hadn't bothered to get anything for the kitchen yet either, so it all looked so plain. What he had done was pick out the wall he wanted Rapunzel to paint on.
When she knocked at the door, he got up and answered, still in full uniform of course. Old habits died hard.
"Are you Rapunzel?"

"Are you Rapunzel?"

[He waves his hand.]
It has been years since I became this way. I'm not sure how many. I want my heart back but as long as I have my music I'll be okay.
no subject
[She's still going to put her faith in him regardless, even if that may or may not be a stupid idea.]
You are you, and that's all that matters. [Turning to the wall.] First we should draw a basic outline of what you'd like. I mean, we could start painting now, but it would be harder to adjust any mistakes with paint.

[He almost looks excited, but his wall is not going to be white. He is thrilled.]
no subject
Yeah, of course!
no subject
[That probably sounds weird. He ducks his head a little. Axel would have laughed at him.]
Sunshine too, something really bright.
no subject
[She is slightly giggling, but not because it sounded weird. It was a nice sentiment and it was nice to know more about him. Drawing the sun with the help of a ladder -- since she couldn't use her hair to pull her up like she could in her tower -- she finished the outline, now working on trying to draw a dolphin jumping out of the water.]
no subject
[He can't draw so he just admires her skills, even in outlines.]
Hey, do you know if there is a beach in this world?
no subject
Hmm... I'm not sure... It would be nice to see personally.
[She's always seen beaches, or even bodies of water for that matter, in books.... Unless you counted the dam being broken down...?]
no subject
[As excited as he is for this mural, he is really just watching her draw. He has no confidence he'll be able to help.]

[His only frame of reference really.]
Then, when I find a beach you need to come with me to go swimming. I won't let you drown.
no subject
I'd like that, thank you.

[And with that the sketch is done.]
no subject
[He sighs a little and shrugs.]
Oh well, nothing to be done about it now. Except to have fun here for awhile.
no subject
[Offering him the brush.]
Now is the fun part! We get to start painting! We can start with a basic coat, but we should start with a lighter color so that we can add shading.
no subject
[He looks at her paints, critically.]
I'm not really sure. Why don't you just tell me what to do and I'll do it?
no subject
[Digging to grab a few colors out for the time being, being hues of orange, yellow, and red.]
no subject
[He leans over, peering into her case with great interest. She has a lot of colours. Already it's going to be way way better than his dreary castle.]
no subject
We can start out with this for now. Let's start with this as a base color for now.
no subject
[He holds up the brush.]
Just point me in the direction you want me to paint.
[Hopefully he won't get any on his uniform, that'd be hard to explain when he finally goes home.]
