So it's welcome and get to work, hm.

[The video shows a woman with short blonde hair, bright blue eyes and an expression set and calmly cool. She waves the stack of red bills bound in their white ribbon in her free hand.]

Well that's quick and handy, isn't it.

[There is a distinct air of icy amusement to her tone, coupled with the faint smirk.]

I don't mind jobs really but there better be entertaining ones here. I don't like being bored.

[That said, she has little else she needs from the network. Now it's all about exploration and figuring out the lay of the land. If she's not at home and won't be getting back, she's going to make damn sure she thrives here.

First though:]

If any of you see a man just a little shorter than me? Don't touch him. He's mine.

[Said with conviction and matter-of-fact ease as she switches off her communicator in the next beat.]

[Okay...that caught her attention. Tatsumi was short, and she couldn't see exactly how tall this person was. It was highly unlikely they owned the same individual- still, it would be unwise not to check now.]

Amusement seems hard to come by, though I hear the maze in the city beyond the gate is providing some just entertainment.

[After a pause]

Might I enquire about the man you just mentioned? Its good to know visuals when making demands...

A maze? Hm.

[Video flicks back on before she speaks. And here she levels her free hand just under her shoulder, expression still a level and cool one.]

This tall. Answers to Krillin. He may have hair, he may not.

[A beat.]

And he doesn't have a nose.

[Esdeath nodded bluntly- content with that answer. It wasn't Tatsumi, this was good. Smiling, she continues about the maze]

They say a Maze has mysteriously appeared in Attelion- a city beyond one of the gates. You require a pendant to get through...so I have found out.

Hmmm. And do you get anything for going through the maze?

I have yet to figure this out.

[She holds the video to show that she is currently in it]

Sadly, its been a most boring venture...save a few small instances. Still I believe in its promise above the promise of the city.

Is there no roof over it then?

It depends on what you would find to be an entertaining job, really.

[Because just saying it would need to be is one thing, knowing what would be fun for an individual is another.]

Well definitely not something that requires a lot of driving. Or sitting around either.

I don't think there is much that involves driving, but a lot do involve sitting around.

[he couldn't think of many jobs that didn't involve that type of thing.]

I guess doing something like waitress or something is a start. Maybe the welcome center might be of more use than I might be.

Maybe. You did try though.

[She can't fault the kid for that.]

What's your name.

My name's Yugi. Yugi Mutou.

[Said in the most polite way he could muster over this device.]

Mm. So are you in the habit of just offering advice to strangers?

Sometimes. I mean I guess I've been doing it a lot more since I got here.

There are more people here you don't know than you do then?

Yeah, but that really is normal back where I was from really.

I suppose it's normal for most people really.

I would like to think so, but I hope you are able to find something, that's all I can say for now.

[Krillin was training in Fayren when he heard the familiar voice. Instantly he perked up, and grabbed up his device. He hadn't shaved his head in a day or so, and the hair was starting to come back. Oh, and his face is roughly the color of his gi. So forceful~]

E-eighteen! Honey, you're here! If you're still near the bay, I'll be over in just a minute!

[Oh good! She figured if she was here he had to be somewhere, given distant glow of his ki. Either that or she'd simply demand whoever was in charge to send her back before she blew them up. Yup.

Either way, she gives a faint grin at the greeting and the video. He looked unharmed and that's all she much cared about at this point.]

I haven't moved, at least not yet.

Right, I'm on my way then!

[He just grins as he takes off for the connecting gate. No longer attempting to mask his power level, he burns a blue streak across the sky as he speeds off to meet her, resisting the urge to tackle her. Instead, he just lands a foot or so away, still new to the whole husband thing.]

Hey, there you are. I've missed you.

[Once he does land, Eighteen does the most sensible thing. She plants her hand right atop his head and ruffles what bit of fuzz he has.]

You've been here a while.

[She doesn't sound angry or accusatory, more curious.]

[He makes a face at the fuzz ruffling, but doesn't back away. On the contrary, that only drives him closer.]

Yeah, I've been here a couple weeks. You're not mad? I... was kinda worried you would be if I just... vanished for a couple weeks so soon after our wedding...

Mad? Not really.

[The ruffling turns slowly into a more firm grip.]

After all it's not like you would want to run from me at this point. Right?

Me? Run away from you?

[He's just gonna chuckle and loop an arm around her waist.]

I might run away with you maybe.

[She makes an amused sound at that.]

Good. I'd hate to start this whole marriage business wrong.

[Now she nudges her head in the direction of the area around them.]

So what's the deal with this place? Beyond what the guides say.

[Krillin just shrugs.]

I'm not too sure myself. I mean, the guides pretty much cover it. No Dragon Balls either, so there's no easy out of just wishing our way home. I've been staying in a hotel nearby, but according to everything I've seen we're probably going to be here a while. Might be worth looking into a more permanent place.

A place away from the old man, huh.

[That... actually sounds nice. No, she could really get to like that. Master Roshi was harmless but damn if she wasn't tired of needing to kick him in the face every so often to remind him why peeping on her wasn't the brightest of ideas.]

It couldn't hurt anyhow, at least until we figure out a way back.

[At this point Roshi was more of a father to him than anyone else ever had been and he loves the old coot but... he was a perv. Heck, he had weaponized that perviness back in the day at Baba's. And a hotel room, just the two of them? No world-breaking threats breathing down their necks, and no tournaments to train for? Sounding pretty damn good right about now.]

[...Of course all these thoughts aren't helping him avoid blushing.]

Yeah, it's a pretty nice room, queen sized bed, balcony and everything. S-shall we... uh... go inspect it?

[For a moment Eighteen doesn't seem to get the precise connotation. It's not the first time he's flushed around her and it certainly won't be the last, though the expression rises less often now than it may have at first.

She looks down on him with one hand still perched atop his head. And then when it does dawn on her, it arrives with the quick creep of heat in her own cheeks.]

... May as well.

[Krillin just grins and chuckles like he'd just found the last Dragon Ball and Vegeta was on the other side of the galaxy. He took a couple steps away, shifting his arm from her waist to take her hand as he started floating upward.]

Come on, it's not far, and I have a feeling you'll like it.

[It's easy enough to follow along with him then.]

I don't doubt it. You do have good taste.

[Egocentric much?]

I don't think you can just lay claim on any man that's slightly shorter than you are.

I'm not claiming all of them. I'm claiming the one I married.

[ A beat. ]

[Whatever, it's not her job to draw you people a sketch. Just don't touch him, problem solved.

The question earns a shrug of her shoulders.]

Well, I suppose if your husband's actually worth it, you wouldn't have to tell anyone not to touch him anyway. He should do that on his own.

He does. Reinforcement doesn't hurt though.
