Fourth Puzzle [Accidental Video]

[lookprofessor]

[The room is mostly dark when the video feed turns on, but maybe that's because the camera is propped oddly next to a book on a table. One pink paw-pad is visible as Luke's pet fennec fox steps on the screen. It's her, clearly, that's triggered the camera to turn on.

Further away is Luke, in pajamas without his hat and standing on a chair, struggling with what looks like a piece of plastic. With a little straining, it's probably clear that he's in front of a window. Just to the side of the chair is the weekly Genessia Tribune. His voice is quiet, and he's talking to himself.]

Suna, I wish they'd stop throwing rocks through the window with the newspaper. This is really hard to cover up. At least I already have a tarp--

[Oh. Well, he was actually pretty close to getting the window covered, until he leaned a bit too far to the right and toppled the chair. With a startled yelp, down he goes, landing squarely on his bum. Suna seems startled by the fall herself--she darts off the table and in doing so knocks off the camera, cutting the video feed off.]

No problem.

[She's not much of one for accepting a great deal of thanks. She's softened up a good deal after her marriage though.

In the end she'll pop up over at the appointed flat in the appointed town. Not that she'll knock on the door of course. Instead Luke will hear a rap against his window and there's the blonde, just sort of... floating.]

[lookprofessor]

[Well. You've successfully startled Luke again. He jumped near out of his skin, eyes wide as he scurries to the window. The only person he's used to floating is Koishi, after all.

Luke opens the unbroken window, brows furrowed.]

Um. Hi?

[tsundroid]

[At his greeting, 18 simply floats on in. No "hi" or "how are you" or nice greetings from her. At least right now.]

Here, let's see what we can do about this first.

[She settles on the floor gently enough.]

[lookprofessor]

[Luke nods weakly, reaching for the tarp he'd been attempting to put up and handing it to her.

It's probably easy to fix windows when you can fly.]

Thank you for coming....

[tsundroid]

[At the thank you, the blonde casually waves a hand as she goes about her patch work.]

I may as well be useful if I have to stick around.

[She doesn't precisely sound friendly but she's not exactly gratingly unpleasant either.]

[lookprofessor]

[When she does finish hanging the tarp, she'll find Luke standing in the kitchen, pouring hot water into a small cup to make her tea. He sets the cup and saucer on the counter, blinking.]

Um...I'm not sure what sort of tea you'd like, so it's just plain Earl Gray. It's nice.

[He hesitates.] Um...for coming to help me, just because you can.

[The tarp is put nicely into place. No slacking, enough tension to make a decent seal. If Eighteen is doing this, she's going to do a decent job of it.

At the offer of tea she blinks herself, peering at the cup and saucer. And then she breathes out a mild laugh, a smile quirking her lips.]

You're not a bad kid, hm.

[lookprofessor]

[He still looks nervous, standing behind the counter, only somewhat visible from his current vantage point.]

It wouldn't be proper to not thank you. You came all the way here just to help me.

[tsundroid]

Good. I'd hate to help out a brat.

[She says as much with such a mild lilt to her tone that she doesn't sound mean or harsh so much as amused.]

[lookprofessor]

Brats don't often get help unless they really need it. It's not very hard to be polite.

[See? He can joke along too.

The boy putters behind the counter, producing a sugar bowl and, moments later, a small container of milk.]

The Professor likes his tea with a bit of cream and sugar. And...um, I'm not sure what you'd like best so...
