Fourth time point

Koschei glared at the video feed. He hated to seem peevish, but enough was enough!

"I would really like to speak with some Guardians or anyone who is remotely in charge or influential. I haven't been in Genessia long and I've tried to adjust and follow along with this society's rules...well, if this place can be said to have rules.

Frankly, however, I am appalled!

Dragons and all sorts of strange and dangerous events are threatening everyone. The "Sunday" paper is arriving on random days. Bounties are constantly being offered for any manner of things and, frankly, I believe the advice columnist could use some counseling.

This sort of chaos is not good for a growing society! We need order, rules, and sensible leadership. Surely there must be someone with the intelligence and wisdom to rule this place! We could even hold an election, if people want to insist on such things. Something needs to be done."

The drums were loud and getting louder.

No offense but I don't think the Guardian's jurisdiction covers the Tribune. The other things are being worked on, but unless you have a magic solution that solves everything in less than a day, you might want to calm yourself.

[ Weiss is kind of bias toward some of the Guardians, though. ]

The Tribune shouldn't be ruled by anyone other than their own leadership. If a business isn't providing adequate service then it's up to other citizens and entrepreneurs to take hold of the reigns and put them out of business while giving rise to a new face in the market. Government or military control of the media leads to far more propaganda than real information- which is why buyers' markets are important for people to be involved in.

I frankly don't even like the paper's content, but I don't have a right to complain about it unless I'm doing something to change it-- but I would rather have a free media outlet than one that's controlled by political bias.

Though, I do agree that some of the Guardians aren't exactly on point.

[ She's going to be very careful and not say which ones, though. ]
whiteas: (Are you for reals?)

sorry she's rude

Even with an organized and effective government system, there are always bounties and criminals. To think that strange and horrible things won't happen with a proper government system leans on delusional.
whiteas: (Excuse you.)

Congratulations to Gallifrey, but most worlds have crime regardless of how strong their government is. From the sounds of what I've read and heard about some of them, too much government can make things worse, too.
whiteas: (Let me count the ways you're fucking up.)

Then exactly what system of governance do you propose that will accomplish such a thing without revoking the rights of its people?
whiteas: (My best friend's a faunus u know.)

Equal rights and at minimum the basics of intelligent species rights.
