[Labrador smiles brightly at the camera. It is certainly interesting to suddenly find himself in yet another world that isn't his own. But at least this one seems to be in much better condition than the last one!]

Hello, everyone! I'm Labrador and I've just arrived here a few days ago. It's nice to meet you all! I suppose this place works like the last one I was in, with most people here being from different worlds? The flowers tell me that strange things happen here from time to time. Is that true?

Anyway, I've just found employment as a gardener here so it you need any help with that, I'd be glad to help! I'm also interested in volunteering at a hospital or clinic here if possible as I do possess healing zaiphon and am well-versed in herbal medicine. Would anyone know whom I should speak to?

Ah, also, I've noticed the most beautiful light ripples across the sky since coming here! I've never seen anything quite like it before! Are they perhaps a seasonal thing here?

[Lab chuckles as he reaches out to a pot of flowers beside him, the flowers visibly move towards him and start winding around his hand]

They can be terribly gossipy though!

[Narrows his eyes.]

What do they gossip about? I bet they have really pretty voices, that are soothing to listen to.

Well, lots of unimportant chatter really. Who's dating who? What they think about what a certain person is wearing? Though they do tell me more useful things as well, such as who's been spying on the Church for the Military, what trouble Frau's got him self into this time, whether danger is coming and which shops are having sales~! [These are all equally important to him!]

Hmm... well, I suppose their voices aren't unpleasant to listen to.

Can everyone from your world talk to flowers, or is that just you?

Just me as far as I know. But everyone at the Church is used to me doing so, so they don't find it weird.

We're not actually sure what the lights are either... but it's nice to meet you, Labrador-san! I'm Yui Kusanagi.

I used to know someone who was very good at gardening as well and I picked up a few things here and there, so let me know if you need any help.

[ She definitely wasn't an expert or anything, she just liked to be as helpful as possible.. ]

I would certainly appreciate the help since my apprentice isn't with me and there's so much there needs to be done. This place has been without a proper gardener for way too long!

[Though apprentice/assistant duties do include trying to find what random outdoor spot he's fallen asleep in on a daily basis...]

Event..? I don't think there was anything official going on.. I haven't been here for very long though, so I could be wrong.

[ She tilts her head slightly. ]

You can feel malevolence? They look very pretty and kind of happy, so I hope they aren't. I'll try to do my best, though I can't help the whole day. I work at the shrine as well.

[ That seems pretty legit to Yui.. ]

Oh no, I didn't mean that sort of event. I meant more like strange things happening. I was in a similar place to this prior to arriving here and in that place very weird things would happen at least once a month. They could be pretty harmless like the whole place turning into things made of candy or not so pleasant things like monsters attacking us. The people there called all these happenings 'events'.

[He nods.] I can. I suppose it's part of my powers as a prophet. And that's quite alright, Miss Yui. I'm absolutely fine with that so you needn't worry! A shrine? Oh, you are a member of a religious order as well?

[Just don't freak out when you do find where he's napping and think he's dead...]

Made of candy?! [ That surprises her more than the monsters.. though she adds. ] I think some of the archways have monsters, so you should still be careful here. I wonder if it is an event like that, though..

My father was a Shinto priest, so I grew up at a shrine. My brothers will be the ones to inherit it back home, but I help upkeep the shrine here in Genessia. You're a prophet, Labrador-san?

Yes, everything was candy! It was truly amazing, though also a big headache since all our food and water were affected too... It was alright in the beginning but after a week... Luckily, things that that usually lasted only about a week back in that place.

So priests in your world are allowed to marry... [He says that in a rather wistful tone.] They are your older brothers then?

[He nods.] It's one of the things I do.

I would think after a day it would start to get hard to continue...[ but she's not the type who eats tons of sweets, so she would've easily gotten a stomach ache from more than one candy.. Plus it would've been sticky, she imagines.. ]

They are, at least where I'm from and in my religion. [ Though her religion-religion is a little more complicated now that she knows a bunch of different gods.. ] Yes, they are.

Oh? There are different religions in your world? [Since here's kind of only one in his...] How many brothers do you have?

Thank you. Though my prophetic powers don't really work in place like this. So I'm just a gardener here.

A number of them, all across the world! I've even met gods from different religions. [ She smiles at the thought of her brothers, though it's a slightly sad smile. It's been a long while since she's seen her family. ] I have two brothers.

You must enjoy gardening very much.

I see! We only have one where I'm from. [Then he looks at her, rather puzzled.] Huh? Met them? But aren't gods supposed to keep their identities secret? [Lab notices that.] You must miss them quite a lot.

[He chuckled lightly.] I've been gardening for as long as I can remember. It's always been a part of my upbringing since I come from a clan of gardeners and healers. We also make medicine from the plants we grow. [He gives a sad little smile as he remembers a home he can never return to.]

Well it isn't like many people have met them for a long time, which is why Zeus-san decided to take a handful of them and a human representative and make sure they learned to understand humanity. So I.. haven't seen my family in a long while before now either.

That's wonderful! Your family must be proud of you for even continuing to do it here in another world.

I see, the gods in your world live separately from humans and have lost touch with humanity... That's quite different from the situation in my world where the gods live among us. And you are the human representative Zeus-san has chosen then? But why can't you continuing living with your family while you taught the gods about humanity?

[He just smiles brightly as his heart breaks inside. His family believes he's dead and he is dead in a way. He'd died and was reborn as the vessel of a god. However in exchange for this new life, he's had to take on a new identity and is not allowed to come into contact with anyone who knew him in his other life when he was known as 'Ilyusha'.] Mn! I certainly hope so! And the flowers are good company even if they can be a little too gossipy at times.

The Gods were all in different locations too, and Zeus-san likes to play with the environment too.. so he brought us to his Garden and promised to ask Chronos-san turn back time once everyone had graduated.

[ She chuckles a little. ] They're gossips?

To play with the environment? [That doesn't seem to be a very good thing for a god to do...] Oh, that's good! Then you wouldn't have missed any time with your family.

[He nods.] Some of them are the most terrible nosy gossips! They keep asking me about how things are between my partner and I!

Well, I'll still remember [ ~~at least in the anime she does~~ ] so I'll miss them, but they won't know I even left. It's good to keep them from worrying, at least. [ And she would hate that. ]

That seems a little private for them to be asking about..

It certainly isn't any of their business! But... I guess they're just worried about me and want to make sure everything's alright.... still! [Since his first love kind of went insane...] On the whole, the flowers are good company though and even sing and dance with me when I work in the garden.

That's true.. especially if you're here, you probably miss the person you love. [ She's got a more optimistic prediction of why they might be worried. ] If you don't mind me asking, how do flowers dance?

Mn. I... do miss him a lot. [Especially since they're basically still newly-weds.] Maybe they'll bring him here as well later.

[He chuckles.] Well, mainly by swaying around. Here, I'll show you! [He moves aside to show one of the many potted flowers around him.] Please dance for me, little ones. [And the flowers start swaying around happily.] While my vines swirl around me... [And as if on cue, trails of flowering vines surround him and start swirling round and round.]

There's a chance! When I arrived I already had someone with me, but another person has showed up already.. I'm hoping more of them will too, but there are people here alone, too. I'm sure there's a chance for more of our important people to show.

[ That's absolutely amazing to her. Sometimes she can't help but be surprised, even if other times she feels like she's lost the ability to feel surprise. ]

That's amazing, Labrador-san!

[nods] That's similar to how things were in the place I was at before then. A friend of mine was already there when I arrived then more of our other companions started appearing.

[He has started dancing around a bit with the flowers and pauses for a bit, laughing lightly.] Thank you, Miss Yui! Anyway, that's how they dance.

My name is Augusta, I'm the secretary of Genessia Hospital. We're currently hiring for medical staff and the fastest way to get a position would be to go to the Employment Center and get the application paperwork done. Afterwards, I can handle the remaining details.

I heard Nova City hospital is more understaffed than we are though, though also less central. I have never directly spoken to their employees though.

Unrelated to that, but... you speak to flowers? I know someone in my world with a similar ability.

It's nice to meet you, Miss Augusta! Hmm... I'm looking more for a volunteer position though since I already have a full-time job as a gardener. Though I suppose part-time might work too?

Eh? Really? Are they here? This is the first time I've heard of someone with a similar ability. I'm the only one I know of from my own world!

It's not usual where I come from either, which is why what you said got my attention. I've never seen someone else besides that one boy who could do it.

In his case, the ability to talk to flowers seemed to go along with unusual premonition in regards to future dangers. It's quite intriguing.

What a wondrous coincidence! I do get premonitions as well actually! That's sort of something that runs in my family so I've always had them. [Being from a clan known for its prophecies and all that.] But I only gained the ability to communicate with all matter of plant life when I was older. [After dying and becoming the vessel of a god who has that ability.]

I am impressed.

I didn't think I would come across someone with the same skill set from an entirely different world... I really do wonder about the nature of those abilities now.

I sadly can't tell you any details about the development of the ability in the person I know, because I'm not overtly familiar with him. If he ever arrives here, I imagine it would be interesting for you to talk.

[He lets out a little slightly embarrassed laugh.] It's not really that impressive.

Hmm... I've never really thought about there being any link between them. Does this person happen to have healing powers of some sort as well?

I see. That's a pity. And yes, it would certainly be interesting to finally meet someone with similar abilities! What's his name?

I don't think he has healing abilities though - other than that I imagine he'd be very descent with a first aid kit.

[Lab can't help chuckling a bit at that.] That certainly is a mouthful! I hope I'll be able to remember that!

I see. Well, that's not a bad thing. Ah, do healing powers exist in your world though?

I don't think they do. I was surprised by the huge influence of the supernatural in some cities and worlds when I came here.

Back at home, Camus' ability is the closest to special powers that I have ever witnessed.

[Lab nods at that.] It does appear that lots of people from different worlds do have powers of some sort. I wonder if they are a part of reason they're pulled into places like this...

We have Zaiphon back home but not everyone possesses it back home.

Zaiphon? I don't believe I have run into this term before.

[He smiles.] I've yet to run into anyone from other worlds who has heard of it. It's well, the 'magic' in my world and also what we call the letters we write. Words have magic in them in my world.

[ Augusta tilts her head, somewhat intrigued. ]

Does this mean any form of writing can function as a magic spell?

In a way. Provided that you have the ability to use Zaiphon and that you infuse feeling into the words. Just the words alone won't really work.

Zaiphon is normally cast by writing in the air and it comes in 3 types: attack, healing and manipulative. Most zaiphon users only possess one type though it is possible to be able to use 2 or even all 3. Attack and healing are the more common of the 3 and manipulative is rather rare.

To cast attack zaiphon, you have to draw on your anger and even hatred at times. I possess the healing type which I cast by drawing on gentle, happy thoughts. I'm not sure what type of feelings and thoughts go into using manipulative zaiphon though... I should probably ask my partner about it if he ever comes here since that is the type he's able to use.

[ The concept sounds entirely ridiculous to her in theory, but her time in Genessia has taught her that her idea of reality really means nothing, so she listens intently. ]

That manipulative skill... does it refer to manipulating objects or people?

Objects. I don't think it can be used to manipulate people. Castor uses it to manipulate the dolls and puppets he makes to make them move.

Manipulation of objects to function as people then rather than manipulating people directly, it seems.

Mn! I suppose so. Though I think he can also use it to get things that are out of reach.
