Who: Levi & Petra
When: March 11th, around 3AM
Where: Riverplace Square room 307, aka their apartment
What: Waking up at this time is always the best timing for talk about love, right? Baby steps on how to turn this platonic relationship into romance.

[Another night. Another nightmare. It's not even a really bad one, but it's enough to wake her up. Right, okay. She's still in this weird other world thing, this sure is the bedroom of their apartment there and -- Petra turns around on the bed to look at the other side. Levi is still there. He's not even far away, but maybe she can blame the tiny distance for the bad dream. What is her life nowadays even? Living in another world, sharing an apartment and bed with the captain, that's what. It's still crazy and if other people couldn't see him and talk to him, she'd probably think having him here is some kind of a dream too. Not that everything here doesn't feel like a dream, except how would one even dream of all the technology here when they have nothing like that back home... But the parts about dearest captain mean the most to a girl, who devotes her whole life for the man. It's like the life she's never going to get back home, or even much better because this place is kind of safer.

Well, Petra really doesn't want to think about that world right now. This is her new home, she likes this much better than her situation back in the world of titans, thank you very much. She sighs quietly and just kind of stares at Levi, while he's sleeping there. Is he really asleep? She's not sure but if he's not, then he's at least very good at acting it. Just staring at him is weird, right? Or no, sometimes Petra catches him staring at her too but she thinks it's just his moments of disbelief of this whole situation. Seeing her here is probably weird, when Levi is from her future... Not like she wouldn't want it to be more than that, she adores him and she makes it pretty obvious, but she's pretty much adapting into this platonic relationship thing most of the time. Then there are moments like this one right now, when she almost feels like testing if they could be more...

No. She almost shakes her head at the thought. No, really, this is -- good and that's a big understatement. Clearly it's time to try to sleep more, when her thoughts are going all over the place. The girl moves closer to the man, wrapping her arm around him and closing the tiny distance between them to lean her head against his shoulder because that's just normal at this point.

Halfway there, when the sound of something breaking one of the windows in the other room makes her jump back and looking surprised at the door.]

What the hell was that?

[Yeah, asking because she's sure Levi isn't sleeping after that. So good "morning" to you too, sir. Never mind that Petra is getting ready to go check it herself, Levi, she considers herself as your personal security after all. It's probably just the newspaper, right?]

[Levi actually wasn't sleeping either. He was used to sleeping as little as possible, so waking up in the morning hours. There wasn't a need for in that world so Levi usually kept his eyes closed whenever he woke up really early, just to see if he could sleep again (which usually wasn't what happened).

It didn't bother him that Petra looked at him when he was sleeping. If it was something that made her feel better, then she could do it. Levi wasn't really sure why staring at him would have made her feel better, but different people had different ways to comfort themselves. Having her there was comforting for him, since she was someone he wanted to keep close. So that this time he could protect her and never let her disappear.

Of course, he felt this way about all of his comrades that were here, but he had lost Petra once already so it was different. Especially when losing her had made him realize something that was already impossible for him to say in their world. Something that was still hard to say, because he was afraid. That things might change between them. He was satisfied with the way they were able to sleep on the same bed normally, so he could wait for a while longer.

Levi's thoughts are interrupted when the window breaks and he opens his eyes. After Petra got up, he also sat up.]

Even if it's probably nothing, don't go alone.

[Because he's getting prepared as well. If there was a burglar or some attack going on, even if he trusted Petra's skills, he wanted to make sure it would be alright.]

[No no, Levi doesn't need to sit up too! ...Not that she can honestly say that his company anywhere isn't comforting, because he makes the girl feel safe all the time. Petra is looking at him with a little surprised look in her eyes maybe. So yes, he is awake. The real question is how long has Levi been awake and seen / feeling her staring him? Not that it seems to bother him, at all, when she does that. Not when she's just quietly staring at him.

...But there's definitely been nights of her waking up from horrible nightmares too with Levi either being awake before her or waking up to her screaming, crying or whatever her reaction has been at those times. And she was glad he was there to calm her down every single time when those happened.

Levi's words make her smile. He is talking to the best teamworker of his hand-picked squad and it's not like she actually wants to go alone. Or anywhere, really, not when she can have company here all the time. It's not even a question, from him, and Petra's mind is still kind of set on the Levi sets the rules wherever she lives. Which is kind of stupid, it's not just his apartment and military stuff doesn't matter here, but that's the mind of this girl for you, Levi.]

If captain says so, then I won't.

[Is she serious with the word captain at this point or not? Who knows, maybe she doesn't know either. Anyway, she is really happy that he's coming with her. Keeping each other safe and having each other's back is super important.

It's like sneaking inside their own apartment even if they're not sneaking, maybe short people just have silent foot steps. Silly girl logic. She turns on the lights.]

[A part of Levi wanted to tell Petra to stop with the captain talk, but he could tell her to stop later. Now they needed to find the source of the voice and deal with it. He's calm because of the fact that if it was a burglar, they would have heard more noises or maybe even seen one because their apartment isn't that big.

And his thought was right. There was no one there as they put the lights on. Just broken glass and a ... newspaper. Well, checking the other rooms would come first before final judgment, but looks like the delivery boy really had a sucky aim. Who the hell even threw towards third floor?]

Well, that's the first complaint for the newspaper company. Shit. Repairing that will take time.

[The delivery boy only had one fucking job.]

[Yeah, she is so not impressed by the broken window and the reason for it either. Can she run to the paperboy and let him know what she thinks right now? No? Okay, she's not going to but the thought crosses her mind.]

Yeah... Well, nothing we can do about it at this time of the night...

[Except maybe clean the floor from all that broken glass, but they should leave that for the (real) morning too.

Checking the apartment for any other unusual stuff comes first, so they'll do that next. There's no one else there, not even hiding under the beds or behind any door (yes, they'll/she'll check) and everything is still crystal clean - well, everything else but the parts of floor with the broken glass. And as much as the newspaper breaking the window annoys her, she can't really say that it's not kind of funny to search through their apartment like that with Levi.

How the hell does someone even throw a newspaper all the way to third floor?]

Well, I guess someone felt too lazy to come all the way to this floor to bring it here any other way.

[Her annoyance seems to completely melt away as soon as she turns to look at the man though. Now she just looks curious. Read it from that look, Levi; So, what are we going to do now, captain? Back to sleep? Does he want tea? Is it too cold to even try to make tea there right now...]

[Levi could just but his gear on and chase after the guy to give him a small lesson, but maybe a complaint might work just as well. It's not like he'll forget this annoyance... and how are they supposed to repair this window anyway?

Well, it's really too early in the morning to start repairing... but Levi's also too awake to go to bed right away. So to answer the look Petra was giving him...]

Let's drink some tea before going back to bed.

[She nods and they walk to the kitchen, where she starts preparing the tea. No need to ask what Levi is going to take since his is always the same black tea and there's nothing wrong with that... Petra thinks for a moment and ends up taking the same too.

Moment later she gives a cup to Levi, back to looking all cheerful again because why not.]

Here you go, captain.

[Way too used to adding that title to the end.]

[He's pleased to receive his black tea as he's sitting at the kitchen table... but not so pleased on the title.]

You should stop using that title already.

[ ... Wait, what?

Oh, yeah. She still calls him captain instead of using his name. It's a habit. Bad habit, it seems, but Levi's reaction to it takes her by a huge surprise. What?

Maybe he can do her a favor by ignoring the blushing, that seems to go all over her face.

. . . Sure, she can do that. She'll do whatever Levi wants her to do, but . . .]

Then ... what should I call you?

[And please excuse her for her stupid moment, Levi, since you obviously surprised the girl a little too much with that.]

[He could comment about the blushing, but instead of doing that, he casually takes a sip from his black tea ~~with his normal weird way of drinking~~. Then, he looks at Petra again with a small tilt of his head.]

Levi. What else would you call me?

[She's not moving. Hell she's not even sure if she's breathing. Don't look at her like that, why are you even looking at her right now? Because making a point clear is better that way, she guesses, but --

Levi's answer doesn't surprise her at all this time. Right. What else would she call him? Well, Petra has a few options for that, such as... Love. No, that's just -- daydreaming or something as people often told her back home, though she looks away from him for a moment as if the question is bothering her somehow. Mistake. He'd notice. Maybe he'd ignore that too!!]

Sure, I can do that.

[... ummm, yeah that's it while she's thinking too much and honestly it might take some time to remember to drop the title, but she's actually also happy about this even if she doesn't look or sound like it right now. Oh wait, he does get a smile from her after a moment. Nothing wrong here, go on as you usually do and see, here's her usual way of looking at you too!]

I mean, of course I can. [and will be really glad to!]

[Sometimes, Levi has hard time understanding what Petra's thinking. Mostly because he didn't want to assume what went through her mind even if he had gotten to know her well but there were things that still caused quite a lot confusion. Like how she felt. He knew that she admired him, but was it just that or more? He was curious, but not really capable of asking that kind of questions.

Instead of asking anything, Petra gets a smile. A warm one that is rarely seen, but mostly around Petra.]

I'm glad.

[She's just. Staring. It's not her first time seeing that smile, but somehow that and this moment and Levi saying he's glad... There's a lot she could do; normal stuff, platonic hug or if she's crazy enough, maybe something more too.

But no. All he gets is Petra staring at him like that smile is the most wonderful thing on anyone ever.]

You're amazing, Levi.

[Not the answer she means to say to him, but well, it's out and she can't take it back. She means the words though, she just didn't think she'd say them to him.]

[Levi is wondering why she'd say that all of a sudden. It doesn't feel like a continuation to what he said or anything.]

Where did that suddenly come from?

Well, he might as well make her embarrassment even worse.]

[She's so surprised to hear those words from him, that for a moment she just... stares, eyes wide and spaced out. What?

Is he kidding? Is he actually serious? Wait, Levi and joking? No, not happening, not here, not now.

...So, he really means it. Her embarrassement really goes even worse, thank you for that dearest captain. Is she even breathing? Probably not considering how her face is changing color and she looks like this is either the best or worst moment of her life.

Levi thinks she's amazing... What does that mean? Amazing Puppy type? Amazing Servant type? Amazing Follower type? Amazing Soldier type? Why is she adding that type there as if we're talking about human class types like titan types are categorized too...?? ...Or just... Amazing as herself? Well, as for her own words to Levi, the man is amazing just the way he is to her, so maybe it means the same to her. Maybe he missed her point and makes his own with that and it means something completely different??!!

Most importantly, does that mean she has hope for anything more with Levi or does that mean he just thinks she's amazing and they should just be friends forever?

SHE DOESN'T KNOW but this seems like a chance of a lifetime to find out.

Petra has no idea what to say to that. Is she amazing? She's not so sure, not that her confidence is bad but hearing it from Levi of all people... Sure gets her heart beat faster than ever as does this whole situation and what she's going to do next...

She doesn't say anything to it while she's too busy looking at his eyes and lips. Now or never, yes even if this is scarier than anything. Why? Who knows.

She closes their distance with a step or two, leans in and -- okay, she actually stops halfway to look at him into the eyes and gives him a chance to reject if that's what he wants to do...]

[Rather than rejecting her, Levi leans closer to Petra to make a start on the the kiss while closing his eyes. Honestly, he had wanted to let his feelings be known for a while, but he had been unsure about how she would react. Now it seemed obvious that it was alright to advance.

Levi moved a hand behind Petra's neck before taking a brief pause and looking into her eyes.]

You're amazing just the way you are.

[Ohhh.

Well that's a relief. Or that he doesn't just think she's weird for wanting to do it, or at least for wanting to try it. No confused face from him. Amazing -- best way to describe her feelings right now. She closes her eyes at the same time as Levi, gently meeting his lips with her own for a few kisses. He's probably going to have to remind her in the (real) morning that this isn't just a dream. And she's pretty sure he has no idea how long she's been thinking about--

His hands makes her think like their first kiss might last for a while. Then he suddenly breaks it and her eyes are wide open on the moment he does. What? Oh, just so he can say words, that make her smile like an idiot and she can't exactly stop that tear of joy escaping from her right eye either. It's a miracle there's just one right now. Anyone else saying those words to her and maybe she'd shrug them off but when they come from Levi, they mean the world to her. Not like he usually says stuff like that to anyone, not like she even ever expected to hear them said to her. Still looking at his eyes.]

I love you too.

[Not the words he used, but she's going to just take them as that too. Aaaand she's not going to wait for him to say anything to that when she's already closing her eyes while reaching his lips with her own and kissing him again.

Might be better, whatever he'd say right now would just make her cry. He can say the same to her later if this isn't a girl just having another (day)dream -- and she'll probably cry then too, but maybe that can be later and this can be now.

No care if the tea gets cold before they stop. Miracles with this modern technology thing; they can heat the water super fast if they even feel like drinking it after this.]

[Petra really knows what Levi is thinking and what he also said as another meaning. He smiles ad they start kissing again. There is no more words that need to be said right now. They could be said later. Right now, he just wanted to feel her close to him.

Who cares about tea right now.]

[Well, she gets even closer by sitting on his lap, both legs on one side while she still keeps going with the kisses.

He could do anything and she'd follow with it, but right now she's keeping them soft and gentle while she's possibly trying to drown Levi into them considering how long the moment lasts. Even so he could probably still go on for a lot more than she can before she needs air.

She gives a laugh, not minding at all about how much she is blushing right now.]

Would you still like that tea? [ or is it time to just go back to bed and make at least her sleep more?]

[Petra is beautiful while she's blushing and even when she's not. She's just beautiful in all ways, so Levi doesn't mind what she looks like.]

I don't. I want to sleep next to you.

[As he says that he puts his forehead on Petra's. They had been sleeping next to one another for a while, but now it would have a different meaning.]

[Might be good, that he is not saying any of that aloud, haha.]

Good, because I was thinking of sleeping too.

[Petra keeps hers still, pressing kisses here and there on his face wherever she can and last one on lips. Smiling like ten thousand suns could be lighting up the room right now. Wait, how is she supposed to move from here now when he's being Mister Charming at the moment?]

[Maybe by Levi keeping her in his arms when he gets up, ready to carry her to their bedroom. He's not breaking their positions otherwise and kisses her lips a few times before starting to walk.]

[Oh wow.

She ...honestly thinks she's still dreaming all of this. It probably wouldn't be the first time for her, even if this feels a lot more real than before. It will be a wonderful surprising in the morning at least to know that this isn't just a dream. Believing it might still take like days if not more.

Petra returns all the kisses, of course. Smiling and with tears of joy in her eyes.

She cuddles close to him once they're back on the bed. Closer than before. Looking at him straight into the eyes before kissing him again for a long moment.

Eventually the kisses slow down until she pulls back, just to cuddle closer to him and leaning her forehead against Levi's. Laughs.]

... Wake me up with those if I'm not just dreaming all this right now, okay?
