First order of business is the obvious. Have there been any advances in finding Yang? I have been monitoring as much of the city as possible, but have made little to no advances.

Secondly, how is everyone faring in the Dust department? The sheer lack of Dust is... troubling at the very least. I have been considering a solution, however, but given the nature of the solution, I would value inputs from everyone involved.

Should it prove necessary, I am prepared to open one of the archways in order to grant us access to Beacon's facilities, including the in-house Dust store that is used to supply our students. The question remains, however, what would be sacrificed.

[weiss sighs. this has been a REALLY long week and a half... between caring for ruby and trying to find a job? she needs some rest.]

Unfortunately, no luck on our side either.

...but luckily I haven't used much Dust. I only have what I had on me when I was last in Vale which is... just enough. What were your ideas?

I see. I've got the city under as much surveilance as I can manage here. When was the last time you ate and slept?

As for the Dust, it would seem my plans were a little premature, according to Blake and Ruby.

I slept last night, and ate this morning. I'm making sure Blake and Ruby are getting rest as well.

[especially ruby. weiss has been watching her girls closely. she may not be team leader but... she knows that it's important to take care of each other.]

Good. It is important that Ruby have both of you at your absolute best, especially with the team down a member.

However, a thought does occur to me. Before my arrival, the four of you have been here for quite some time, correct?

Yes, sir. Various intervals for all of us, but it has been quite a while.

.. With everything going on, we forgot to mention it. When it was only Ruby, Yang, Jaune and myself we created one of those Archways leading to Vale.

It isn't... real, but the Dust shops are there and it seems to work normally in our weapons.

I see. Then the need to bring Beacon here is unnecessary then.

Any further leads on Yang's whereabouts?

Well, the Archway only encompasses the city but the school isn't there. I'm still not convinced it's worth the price though.

[And she just shakes her head at his question. He can't see it, of course, but the heavy sigh on her end is probably enough of an answer.]

[Ozpin is displeased, but doesn't blame Yang in the slightest. He still feels like it should've been his burden.]

Out of curiosity, would you happen to know what she sacrificed?

[About half as displeased as she and Ruby had been. Blake had been prepared to make the sacrifice herself. There were more than enough memories in her head that she didn't feel she needed any more.]

No. I don't think she even remembers what it was herself.

[He takes a moment to ponder.]

Just as well, then. After all, one cannot miss what they do not remember.

Professor Ozpin?!

[That's right, Jaune was probably the only one that didn't respond to him at first - because Jaune missed the whole thing. Now it's his first time learning that Ozpin is actually there, because no one told him. Jaune doesn't know what to think, really... The guy makes him a little nervous.]

U-Uh... *Ahem* I haven't found Yang. Ren and I looked around Everglade but there was no sign of her anywhere.

... And Dust? I dunno. Harry's told me that sometimes the things you have to give up are pretty important. Is it worth it? [Let's keep in mind that Jaune's weapon is, as Ruby calls it, a 'classic.' He doesn't use Dust for anything.]

I was afraid of that. Whoever is responsible, has covered their tracks exceedingly well. Almost too well.

The safety of my students is of the utmost importance. Any sacrifice would be worth it. That said, Blake and Ruby have informed me that there is indeed a place to resupply here in the city after all.

Uhmm... No sign of her yet.

Yang went and opened one of the archways shortly after she arrived, even though I said I'd do it.

[She huffs a little, she might still be a little sour about her sister going behind her back on her like that. Of course she was more worried about Yang than upset, but she still didn't like how much her sister decided to act without telling her.]

We will find her, Ruby. If she is still here, we will find her.

Yes, Blake mentioned something like that as well.

I know we will... I just well, I just hope we find her sooner rather than later.

This is already a lot later than I was hoping for.

Not necessarily. After all, Blake, Weiss, yourself, Team JNPR, and even Penny and Sun Wukong are all just beginning your training, and only have one set of eyes apiece.

I have been training Huntsmen and Huntresses for quite some time now, and was a Huntsman myself long before I came to be a professor at Beacon.

Not to mention that information is my specialty. I have my ways, Ruby. I can watch more of this city than any one person logically should be able to. Remember how quickly Glynda found you the night we met?

That was no accident, and indeed, she would have gotten there much faster if I had not wished to see you in action. Rest assured, as soon as something happens, I will notice it.

[Wait... That was planned? Wow, that's certainly news to Ruby. She's not exactly sure how to respond it either. On one hand she's glad it happened because she ended up in Beacon a whole two years early and met all of her friends.

On the other hand, that means they probably could have caught Torchwick that night and he wouldn't have joined up with the White Fang. ...But then she wouldn't have found Blake when she did... but that wouldn't have happened at all if Ruby wasn't in Beacon. Or maybe it would but-

Okay. Her brain just stopped for a minute, it's not made to think about crazy alternate time line scenarios.

She'll take a deep breath and move on. Ozpin wouldn't have done those things if he didn't have a good reason for it, that's what she'll trust for now.]

None so far. I am devoting all of my spare time to looking for her.

That would be unwise. I can appreciate the sentiment, however, looking out for your own health is also necessary.

Also, I believe introductions are in order, if we are to be working together. I am Professor Ozpin, Headmaster of Beacon Academy. You have my thanks in helping Blake in her time of crisis, by the way.

Don't worry, I'm not overexerting myself. [He's making sure to rest and eat when he needs to.] But finding Yang is important.

You are-..Oh. Huh. No one said anything about the Headmaster of Beacon being here. [He feels maybe a tiny bit honored to be talking to him like this.] Sun Wukong. But if you know about the stuff with Blake then you probably know my name already.

I have not been here very long, and prefer to operate with as little fanfare as possible. [Have a small chuckle.] Yes, it is my job to know everything that goes on within Vale. Your arrival is no different. I certainly look forward to seeing you compete in the tournament as well.

I guess I wasn't as sneaky getting into the place as I thought. I'm hoping you won't have to wait too long for that. People are expecting the tournament to be really good this year. Though I'm just expecting to win it, of course.

I have eyes and ears around the world. My students cannot so much as sneeze without my being aware of it. Your stealth and infiltration skills are second to none, do not doubt yourself here.

As for the competition, you will have some difficulty at the very least. My students didn't get to be a part of Beacon without having the talent and skill to back it up, after all.

Indeed, but consider who we are up against. Someone has abducted Yang, likely meaning they were somehow able to overpower her. They have also left absolutely no trail to follow.

The foe we face is unlike anything you have ever encountered in your training, and I don't want any of you to be operating at anything less than 100% That said, it would seem that before her disappearance, Yang opened one of those gateways, granting access to a Dust shop we may use to resupply.

[Well, it's not like he was saying it as an excuse to slack. He was just pointing out what could be considered a matter of interest that has not yet been brought up.

However, what the headmaster says is not untrue. It begs the question of:] Are you going to start training us again? [It seems foolish not to prepare to be able to fight against these sorts of new threats.]

Once the issue with Yang is resolved, then yes. I fully intend to seek out whatever educational facilities are here, and attempt to work in your training as well.

I would expect the attendance of both teams, however, it may take some time to develop lessons that would be more useful and attuned to our unique environment. Once I have something, however, I will let you know.

[He's not going to point out that this is not beacon and their attendance would not be mandatory. Mainly because he can't see why the others wouldn't come, but also because why point something like that out?]
