[Locked] The Guardian is: IN - Backdated to the 17th

Thanks to the previous guardian, the Nova City Guardian quarters is the tallest building in Nova City. While it is otherwise the most plain amongst all the flashing lights and holograms of other buildings, perhaps that is what makes it stand out the most.

It is a straightforward, mostly metal structure, and on all four sides of the building the glowing symbols that once shaped as a 'W' had been redesigned to look like a shield with a star emblem. There is only one visible (normal) entrance and they're sliding doors.

But let's get to the point, shall we?

The first two floors of the HQ is about as one might expect a police office to look like (cubicles and the like). Rather old-school in structure, because the Guardian is a bit slow to catch up on all this newfangled future technology, but there is a smattering of nu-tech here and there.

There's plenty of room. It's very open room with multiple lifts along the sides of the walls to get to the second floor.

Satsuki is one of the many people about the very busy office- There's a lot to do today, and most of the buzz is because of the testing of a brand-new patrol vehicle. There is of course plenty of room for improvement but every project needs to start somewhere- and she had just the person in mind. Now just to wait for him to arrive..

In this world, it was no different in that to keep your place and as such, it meant you had to get a job and it was a search he was willing to do.

Not that it meant that he was able to find one that worked for him, as the regular entry level ones just didn't appeal to him. Taking in a bit of research on how the cities worked, it was the talk of guardians and the ones that worked beneath them that got his interest and through that helped him figure out what he wanted to do. Something that would help him make use of his time here and be useful while utilizing his years of work within the CCG.

Tracking down the names and locations of the various guardians for the cities hadn't been all that hard, but he had to pick one that hadn't yet appointed a deputy guardian. So that brought him to Nova City until he stood before the headquarters, dressed neatly in his white and black CCG uniform and a nervous smile on his face before he shook his head and walked in without the hesitation that showed briefly beforehand.

Once inside, he strolled up to the front counter area with such a friendly, but professional smile in place as he greeted the person behind it. "Hello! My name is Haise Sasaki. Would I be able to speak to the Guardian of Nova City? A miss... Kiryuin?"

Halfway to offering a polite response to the officer when he asked about having an appointment, he was stopped short when he heard another voice speak up from nearby. It's firm, commanding and instinct already tells him it must be her long before he lays eyes on the white-clad woman walking toward them. Her demeanor reminds him so much of Akira and it's kind of impressive in it's own right.

Making sure his own posture is standing firm and tall, he schools his expression into a calm but amiable one as he fully faces her. "Upon my time here, I was informed of the guardians that protect each city and that every guardian has a deputy guardian that works under them. I'd like to apply to be your deputy guardian, Miss Kiryuin." Haise answered without any sign or hesitation in his voice as if he wanted this then he would do whatever he could to prove he was worthy enough.

Each guardian probably had their own ways of doing things and he was willing to do anything she requested of him.

If he was bothered by the way she sizes him up it didn't show outwardly on his face as he stood there before her. He stood strong without hesitation; just like his mentor Arima had taught him to do and as long as he knew what he wanted he would continue to remain standing tall as people liked confidence and if you worked hard, you could attain almost anything.

Nodding in assent to her words, Haise easily follows after her with an unwavering stride while quietly taking everything in. The technology here was so advanced, making everything about this place more and more interesting and he did wish to know more. He could only hope for the best, and while it would remain unsaid due to his wish of not wanting to ever boast about such a thing, he was skilled for someone of only 22 years old and it was something he hoped to prove to Satsuki herself.

"Nova City is by far the most intriguing kind of city i've ever seen, it's fascinating and an entirely new experience for me. Something about it drew me here all on it's own." Haise offered with a small nod of his head, gaze never leaving her but he did attempt a light smile despite the seriousness of their conversation. "I actually live over in Genessia but traveling for work has never really been a problem for me."

Whether it was lavishly decorated or as simple as it was, it wasn't as if Haise could really judge someone on that as he was more focused on her and the matter between the two of them.

In passing he does take it in as he walked along with her, nodding quietly in muted assent before sitting down in front of her desk as soon as she'd indicated for him to. She has his complete attention as she speaks, though the words themselves made him falter just a touch despite it doesn't completely show on his face other than his smile fading a touch. As it stood he'd been a good citizen for the most part, but there was definitely something that had happened and while he'd like to keep it to himself, this was a matter that demanded his complete honesty.

"It's... not much but I might as well be up front about it. I'm... not exactly human and about 10 days ago, I briefly lost control of myself and I attacked a boy who'd been trying to help me. It was an accident and i've vowed not to let that happen again, but... that still happened and it's the one thing i've done here to wrong anyone. Unintentional as it was." As he spoke, he made sure to keep eye contact with her despite his light unease at admitting something like this.

Hopefully it wouldn't change anything, but he was still going to try his hardest for this. One bad incident didn't mean the end, after all.

For a second, Haise had really begun to worry that perhaps what he'd said might have been a bit much right off the bat or that it was a deterrent that he'd done that sort of thing. Call it a habit, but more than anything but what did one expect after admitting they sort of attacked a kid unintentionally?

When what he'd initially expected didn't come to pass but instead the opposite, his demeanor brightened considerably and he nodded in assent. Explaining things in a brief but informative manner wouldn't be so hard, but rather the subject matter itself. Letting out a breath he hadn't been aware of subconsciously holding, he gathered up the information in his mind before closing his eyes as part of this could be safely done with a small demonstration but it's not as if he wouldn't warn her first before that; he's not cruel or reckless enough to do something like that, really.

"...Ah... well, what I am is technically referred to as a ghoul. A being who needs to eat human flesh to survive." Haise faltered a little at his own description but knew it was necessary. "They only need to eat about once a month, and they fight with something called a Kagune. Each one bears a different shape, but mine is... it's better if I showed you." A beat followed his word and habitually, with one hand he used the middle finger on his left hand to push down and crack the knuckle on his index finger's joint, though as soon as he did that was when his kagune formed, about four scaled tentacle-like things that seemed to almost pulse with a life of their own, along with his left eye changing into one that was completely black with a red pupil.

"They are versatile, can cut through steel, support weight and are essentially a ghoul's way to fight, though it is not my only weapon as I bear a secondary one which was given to me by my mentor. A former kagune fashioned into a sword called the Yukimura and i'm considerably skilled with it as well. As for making sure to avoid another episode, ah... if there was any way to get 'food' without harming others, i'll do whatever it takes. I'm not willing to kill anyone to get it, but I will do anything else so I can avoid that accident and hurt any more people." After that explanation, he let his kagune linger before they began to fade away, as if they hadn't been there; an exercise on his control of his abilities in itself.

Haise just hoped it was good enough.

The large building was a bit of an eyesore in Grimmjow’s opinion. But he never spent too much time in Nova City for it to actually bother him that much. This, however, was the first time coming there. He didn’t usually have any business here, meaning he had no reason to come by until today. He expected what he was going there for today would be fun, but he’d been disappointed before. Still, he kept his hopes up.

Nothing really heralded Grimmjow’s appearance. He just suddenly appeared as if out of thin air standing in the middle of the office, hands tucked away in his pockets and sword at his side. Certainly a man with a sword and a hole in his abdomen appearing out of nowhere might startle some. It could probably even illicit more extreme actions in others. But Grimmjow wasn’t paying attention to what actions people were taking. He was just scanning the room for the woman he came to meet.

Grimmjow glanced to the guy speaking. He'd ask him if he fucking looked like he needed one, but he wasn't oblivious to the fact that he had a hole in him. People stared at that enough that it was hard to forget about it.

"I'm here because the Guardian invited me. Tell me where she is." It was more of a command than a request. This was something he would only need to worry about once. He was going to remember her particular energy signature after this meeting. Once he did that, finding and appearing right in front of her would be a simple task.

The man was lucky that Grimmjow wasn’t a stickler for his name being pronounced correctly, and also that the Guardian soon showed up in some kind of..light show. It was weird, but he didn’t dwell too much on it.

“I would be a shitty Hollow if I let some vehicle make me back down.” He was completely sure that even his subordinates would have been able to handle the thing if they had ever arrived here in this place. He tucked his hands away into his pockets.

“So. Show me where this thing is.”

He looked around the room that they were in. He was wondering how much space he was going to have to do this little test for her. Honestly, he didn't think he needed this much to destroy a machine, but it was appreciated. He turned his gaze to the image as it was pulled up. It wasn't like anything he'd ever seen before, mostly because where he was from, people themselves were much stronger than any man made weapon.

"Live weaponry is fine." He said, no really afraid of what sort of damage the tank might be able to inflict. His Hierro was strong, all Espada level Hollow's were. Though he was fast enough that he didn't think it would be able to hit him unless he wanted it to.

"This things look kind of weird though. Like it's some sort of bug." Though that didn't change what he was here to do to it. "I'm ready to start when you are."

The patrol vehicles that Satsuki had brought to his attention a scant few days before were an industrious proposition that required the use of resources on multiple fronts. Besides the basic engineering to build it to its skeleton and composite materials to protect the delicate gears and pistons, it needed a slew of programmers to develop it's AI sufficiently enough to identify a valid threat and determine the proper course of action.

If a slew of programmers wasn't available....well, a few very talented ones would suffice.

Inumuta was elbow-deep in code when he received his summons, and being drawn away from his work even for the ever-turning mind of Satsuki Kiryuin, was never something that he relished. There was still much for him to learn about this city, many resources for him to amass, and side projects to begin on top of all of that...

An agitated huff. It had taken him some time to reach the offices in Nova City from the rebuilt Honnouji in Genessia, but he had arrived no worse for wear. Instead, it was the sheer volume of people in the building that had drawn his distaste-- he didn't mind people, to an extent, but they did make it hard to work if they were left in an uncoordinated mass.

Now, how to find Satsuki-sama herself in all of this...?

Mugshots were often a quiet telling piece of data to have on hand, and the aphorism that a picture could be described in a thousand words was not an understatement. The cocky grin that twisted the man's lips in the hologram was telling enough. That, along with the synopsis that Satsuki had shared with him, painted a picture of an immensely powerful and immensely impulsive individual in Inumuta's mind. Such brutes weren't his style-- but, they were definitely useful in the testing phases of any kind of technology.

"Satsuki-sama. Am I to assume that I am going to be running analysis during this process? I do have a request if that is the case; would you allow me to man the controls on the unit?"

It was a simple request, one that would allow him to analyze the data on both the offensive and defensive front so he could understand better how to weave the coding that would eventually serve as the basis for the AI that would eventually be installed. Furthermore...he just wanted to have some fun.

He had already guessed that Grimmjow would be an unpredictable element to factor into his calculations-- that, itself, just made the entire demonstration all the more interesting.

"I understand," he replied, following her a step behind her brisk pace as she led him into the demonstration room. The technical specifications that she quickly expained were immediately filed away for lter use. A holographic simulation chamber would be more than useful in this instance, and he was already hatching ideas for how it could be used in the future.

The workstation, too, wasn't dissimilar from what he had previously worked with at Honnouji Academy. His lips curled themselves into an eager smirk once he laid eyes on the set up, and he quickly settled himself in.

"Roger. Everything checks out so far, Satsuki-sama. What kind of weapons are we dealing with for this test?"

"I think I have a general idea of things," he replied, an oddly eager smile curling his lips and glinting in his eyes. "A survival game sounds like an excellent way to test the technology."
