[Locked][Dated 3/8] Something Rare and Beautiful
Sunday was usually a lazy day for Koishi. She had less energy, was generally less excitable, and, seeing as she liked to return home on the weekends, rarely showed up in Satsuki's apartment before 9 am. If at all, presumably preferring to sleep in and spend some quality time with her sister. Today was an exception to this usual routine.
Rapping on the guardian's window at 7:30 am, no doubt upsetting Gothorita in some way, shape, or form, floated the little green haired youkai, dressed in full uniform. She stopped knocking after a moment, trying to tug the window open, managing to pull it open a crack. She didn't even wait until she was all the way inside, chattering away as she worked it open.
"Miss White! Hey there!" No doubt she was intruding on Satsuki's peaceful breakfast or time spent sleeping in. "Miss white! I have something to give you!" Oh no... Please don't be another pet. Please...
The dull thunk of her boots on the carpet signaled her entrance as she zipped around the abode, and right up to Satsuki. Instantly her third eye squished itself against the human's cheek. "Miss White! I'm here!" No kidding. "Sis wanted me to give you a letter. She tied a ribbon around my wrist so I wouldn't forget." Sure enough Satsuki could catch a splash of bright red around Koishi's wrist as she reached into her blazer and withdrew a heavy envelope containing an equally heavy piece of parchment paper. It was carefully sealed with beeswax, dyed crimson, and a stamped with an indentation depicting an ornate eye and several foreign symbols.
"She said it was really important so I came over right away so I could give it to you!"

Satsuki wasn't doing anything in particular though- actually she's out from the shower adorn in a sleek robe, a towel wrapped about her hair and some sort of green cream on her face eyes when Koishi runs into her. And.. Eyeball. She'd almost prefer the pet. Her eyes half-lid as a sigh passes her lips, all while the pokemon continues to scold Koishi in her 'nonsensical' language.
"Komeiji, remove your boots." is the first thing she says before she accepts the letter- But it's an unexpected surprise. It's been a while since the two had spoken after all. As she makes her way to the family room, she opens the envelope, then the parchment itself to read.
Lady Satsuki...
The style in which it's written feels oddly lightened, but contains as much of Satori's formality as most correspondence out of Chireiden. It's telling that Satori would be able to write in 'good spirits', at least...
-------
Lady Satsuki,
Or should I say 'Dear Satsuki'? It's been some time since I've treated someone on such familiar terms, but please bear with my awkwardness regarding this subject. This is not why I intended to write to you, in any case.
I am writing to express my most earnest thanks, as contradictory as that may sound from someone so bitter as I tend to be. But I've good reason to extend my rare gratitude, as you've more than earned it. From the first, you've shown remarkable compassion that I'd assumed was wholly dead in humankind. Your mind being...straightforward helps this a great deal. And, with my deepest gratitude, I thank you for taking care of Koishi, both prior and after my arrival. While she seems rather confusing at times, or nigh incomprehensible, my sister responds well to those who treat her with kindness, as if they were her own. It must be some sort of issue with the subconscious, and while I've always speculated about whether her love can be considered 'real', thanks to your aid as well as hers, I've received some degree of closure on the matter. I've reason to believe it's very much the case, and I was foolish to have ever believed otherwise.
My sister is the dearest thing to my heart, in this or any other world I may find myself in, and I appreciate your care and toleration of the both of us. Despite how cold you seemed from the outset, you are much like my sister. You possess a hidden depth of compassion for others. Considering you, too, have family you're struggling to understand and cooperate with, I'm happy to listen to whatever you may have on your mind, whether completely frivolous or of the utmost importance. They may very well be one and the same, sometimes, but I'll be the judge of that.
Above all, from one sister to another, do not easily forget those you care about. I wish you all the best, where ever your life takes you, here. I'll leave you with a final reassurance from my closed heart.
Good luck,
-Satori Komeiji
P.S: I'd enjoy accompanying you on this excursion I've been hearing about. If only to see Koishi doesn't get into any sort of trouble. Let me know if there's any space. She's been prattling on about swimming in her clothes. I'm curious as to where she'd heard of that idea, she'll catch her death of cold.

It was always a bit creepy when the connections of Koishi's eye were visible, the arteries curving upward slightly fading abruptly into a light purple before blending into her skin tone.
She drifted over to Satsuki, third eye still bobbing quite happily, artery twisting into a heart shape. "Miss white! What does it say?" She settled to one side, still floating a small distance above the ground. Her third eye settled on the woman's shoulder seeing as her cheeks were covered in goo.

A small yet tired smile graces her features, even as the eyeball settles upon her shoulder- Which is just weird but it seems she's gotten used to it. Whether that is a good thing or a bad thing isn't clear just yet. "It is a letter of thanks." she replies, "As you already know we have met a couple times before and it would appear I have made quite a positive impression."
And yet she can't help but feel a little.. Envy? There are conflicting feelings for certain- She hadn't seen Ryuko in quite some time. But considering the situation that is probably a good thing, right? Because.. She has too much to do. She draws in her lower lip as she carefully returns the letter to it's original position. "She says she will be joining us this Friday."
You mean "While Koishi's fumbling is a little distracting" :P
She was frowning a little now, a chilly pulse of emotion rippling through Satsuki, taking the edge off of the envy. "Poison poison. None of that, okay Miss White? It's really really bad." Of all the negative emotions Koishi had dulled for Satsuki, it seemed she liked envy the least. Normally she left a bit of the feeling alone but, in this case, she toned it down more than she normally did. "If you have too much you'll get really sick. And then you can't go on the vacation. But don't worry. If you got sick I would stay nearby and help you."
Satsuki can see Satori from here. She can also breath in space.
She doesn't immedietly catch on to the 'poison' Koishi refers to but by the time she does it's more or less brushed off in favor of considering where to place the letter. Of course she doesn't want to throw it away, but doesn't want to place it anywhere obvious either. And to top it off, there's a bit of a chill that runs up her spine at the thought of Koishi sitting next to her bed all day should she fall ill. That seems like a very, very bad idea. "I.. See.. Well I shall keep that in mind. As for the letter.."
She ponders on it a moment, and ends up simplifying it quite significantly.
"It is thanks for assisting you during your time here in Genessia. She cares quite deeply for you."
Wow! That's amazing!
She turned, looking down at the letter her sister wrote, third eye sliding down and nudging Satsuki's arm a little bit. "Sis has really nice handwriting. Even in the blocking Genessia letters and not the nice characters from home. Don't you think?"
She didn't wait for an answer, backing off quickly, the sound of her bare feet sounding through the room... and then the sound of a cabinet and a bag- She was getting into the cookies again. And the squeal of delight that followed was a bit louder than usual.
"Chocolate! I don't get chocolate very much!" A rush of air, the little satori appearing again at Koishi's side and- squish! Eyeball.
"Miss white! Try one! They're so good! They're even better than the cinnamon ones with the oats and fruit!"

Enh, she'll worry about it later.
Mostly because she's once again stunned at the reminder of the shifted writing. "Hmn. That's right; this is not her true writing.." The Guardian looks down to it once more, and her frown deepens considerably during the cookie crusade. Well then, it's settled- she needs to get to the bottom of this and part of it will involve needing to find someone to take care of the Shrine as soon as possible. But she'll need to partake in some training of her own as well. "I will have to pass, Komeiji, I have preperations to make."
Beat.
"I am taking leave for the rest of the month."
no subject
She returned shortly, hovering by Satsuki's shoulder. She was holding her third eye in her hands now. Probably to keep it from drifting off again. "But the cookies are so good!" She didn't push further though. Her face was covered in crumbs.
Her smile fell a little bit, tilting her head. "... Leave?" Beat. "Where are you going? Is it fun? You should bring back something from wherever you go. I like to bring things back for sis whenever I go to interesting places.
no subject
".. No, I was too hasty. I believe it can wait a little longer, but I most certainly need to continue my investigation of this world soon. A year ago I would not have imagined I would be facing so many distractions these days. I do not know where my path will lead just yet on that front."
"Still, there is time to get a head start before our trip this Friday. And do not forget to see Jakuzure about your swimming arrangements. And one other thing; if you happen to come across a small girl by the name of Hikari Yagami; I have hired her to care for my pets while I am away."
no subject
She let her third eye go, the sphere bobbing in little figure eights. The looped heart defined itself further. "I could go with you too if you like. I'll keep you safe from lying and magic. Or maybe take sis. People don't like their minds being read but sometimes you need to if you want to get the real answer."
The little satori looked thoughtful. "But a better question to ask is 'what will finding the answer mean?' The question being asked is the important thing. Less so the answer. Otherwise the answer doesn't actually mean anything." She dropped to the floor with a quiet thud, straightening her hat.
"I've had a thought. A loopy and addled and static filled idea." Her third eye was open again slightly, growing still again. "Everything here feels like a piece of art or a tool or a building. Everything feels oh so carefully crafted. Patterns and structure everywhere. Even when its being chaotic it still follows the rules." She tilted her head. "But we don't. All of us with shiny necklaces stand outside that order. And we break each other's rules too. Not just the rules of this world. I've seen it."
She opened and closed her mouth once, pursing her lips. "But we're here. And its still okay. Even though we break the rules. And then we find a purpose in the chaos. But it feels intentional. Like an accent to break uniformity. Something that stands out but still fits." A pause, the little satori blinking. "Am... I making sense? I'm really trying."
no subject
"I trust the shrine maiden.. Enough." she replies, "And of course I have pondered that very question- which is why, at least for now, I cannot ask for the assistance of Jakuzure, Gamagoori, or the others. The only thing I know for certain is that my plan for Genessia as a whole will be centered around what I discover."
"Your assistance will not be needed at this very moment, but I suspect your unique perceptive abilities will play an important part in all this rather soon. I'll have to ask you to remain patient until then."
no subject
Her frown only deepened as Satsuki continued to talk. "... Okay Miss White. But tell us as soon as you want our help, okay? I know I'm not useful sometimes because my head is all around and icy-pink and slanted but I'll do my best, okay? And I bet sis would help out too if you need it..."
"But I still think you should take Mister Big and Miss Music along at least. They know you really well. In some ways, better than even a mind reader could ever hope to."
no subject
She's then quiet for another moment; actually considering bringing the other two along, but she decides against it- At least for now. "Mn. I shall take your advice into consideration. For now, I need to get cleaned up."
no subject
She seemed deep in thought when Satsuki moved to finish cleaning up, Koishi blinking and looking up at her. "Oh! Clean? Can I help clean something Miss White?" Hopefully it wasn't something breakable. "I want to be helpful right now."
no subject
"I admit I hadn't thought to ask if she were involved in such practices. But the number of youkai arrivals here have been increasing without any action that I know of. If I were to guess I would assume she would let you be but it could not hurt to ask."
Still, that was a bit of an odd story, yet she could so easily see that happening. As for the following question, "I am referring to my face; I can do that on my own." she says with a frown. "But if you insist, I would appreciate if you stopped by Teanie Teas to see how Triton is doing."
no subject
"Ohh. Luuuuke is there!" A pause. "Do I know where that is? Did I follow you there before? I might have been unconscious when I did. If you tell me where it is I can probably get there subconsciously... I think."
no subject
"Come to think of it you may be more familiar with his home than his work place, so I shall show you." Instead of returning to the bathroom, she heads to the entertainment room. There, she waves her hand around which produces a holographic map upon the coffee table; on it's left the portion of Nova they reside in and to the right Genessia City. With another motion she creates an icon of Koishi's face and one of Luke's in the appropriate areas. "This street here," she then says as it zooms in upon the appropriate building, "Since you can fly, it is as simple as reaching this gate, then head in that direction."
Because her mun is too lazy to look up the actual street.
no subject
Koishi followed Satsuki into the entertainment room, pausing, he mouth opening slightly as the guardian pulled up the map of the city. She just blinked as Satsuki created an icon of her face, leaning in close to examine it... and then examine Luke's. It would probably be best to wait until she was done being awed by the technology to explain...
Fortunately she got over it fairly quickly, drifting back. "I know how to get to the Genessia gate. But can you show me the map from a flying angle? So I can make sense of it more. I want to know where the Little Human works so I can help out!" Even if she didn't remember her original instruction, she was almost glaring at the map, concentrating. She was trying really hard Satsuki! Honest! Though it might work in her favor and get Koishi out of her hair for awhile if she writes an actual note of instruction.
no subject
"Of course."
With another gesture of her hands, the map 'tilts' to an arial view. With another motion, the Koishi icon floats directly from the gate to the Luke icon. After several blinks, the image resets and the route repeats. Satsuki has to admit; the koiball can be pretty cute when she's trying like that. "Only if he asks for it, Komeiji. I just want a confirmation that he is holding his own. It is not very common for a boy his age to be running his own business."
