[ When the feed starts initially, the view isn't of anything in particular though there's almost a quiet murmuring that can be heard if one listened closely. A soft exclamation, and then the view changes to feature a young, nervous-looking man. ]

H-Hello! My name is Mutsuki Tooru, Rank 3 ghoul investigator at the CCG!

[ After a few moments, his stiff posture sags as if under a sort of pressure. Acting so polite and formal is completely natural for him but under the current circumstances it's a little exhausting. ]

I, uhm, don't really know what to say, this is all a little overwhelming. [ There's a sheepish look on his face then, brows knitting together as his lone revealed eye glances to the side. ]

I'd appreciate any information and help with understanding my current situation. If there's... If there's really no way back to where I came from right now I guess I'll need to adapt to how things in this world work.

[ His voice grows quieter near the end, as if he's talking more to himself than anyone else, and when he realizes as much he startles slightly, eye widening. ]

Ah! Excuse me, here I am blabbering on... [ Tooru grasps at the front of his coat, wringing at the fabric. ] If anyone knows what the CCG is, or if anyone else from it are here, I'd really appreciate it if you let me know. Th-Thank you in advance!

[ It's been a very hectic time since he's been here in Genessia, from his ghoul instincts kicking in from out of nowhere to actually trying to get a job and a place and as such, means he's always doing something to keep his mind occupied.

He's out picking up some coffee when he checks the network and hears that very familiar voice. As it goes on, the mention of CCG gets his attention and confirms his very suspicions and he stops what he was doing so he can respond, a smile in place as the feed picks up on his end. ]

I think the only one from the CCG is me, thankfully.

[ As calm as ever but he definitely looks quite relieved to see the other boy, expression soft and kind. ]

It's nice to see you here, Mutsuki.

Have you been awake very long?

[ There's no other person he'd been hoping to see as much as Haise, and seeing that smile, hearing that voice, is enough to make the tenseness in Tooru's shoulders ease even as he leans forward in an animated show of happiness. ]

Sasaki! Sir, I'm so glad to see you! [ It's such a big comfort; thinking about being here among countless strangers had been daunting for someone as easily made nervous as Tooru. ]

Not too long, I didn't spend much time in that cave- [ The darkness and quiet of it had been unnerving. ] -and once I watched that video I decided that trying to gather information while looking for you and the others would be the best place to start.

[ Without realizing as much, he'd slipped into a professional tone, as if relaying his report of an ongoing investigation. ]

[ Considering to most people how alarming it would be upon waking up in a place like Genessia, he's simply glad that he can be there for Mutsuki now so he's not left alone in this. He'd really been worried for the other boy so it made him happy to see him doing well, even if being away from home was slightly unnerving more than he'd admit. ]

You don't have to be so formal about it. It's just here, after all.

[ He's completely at ease, gentle tone and expression soft. ]

I'm glad you had a plan on what to do even before I answered you on here.

[ He then remembers what he was doing and he perks up somewhat because this was perfect. No this wasn't the same but maybe him and Mutsuki could come back here to talk instead; thankfully he hadn't ordered anything. ]

Would you like me to come find you? I have a place we can discuss things where it's less public if that would be more comfortable.

[ Tooru's eye widens at those words, mind quickly replaying what he'd said. ]

Oh- I'm sorry! I didn't even realize... [ There's a sheepish laugh, his free hand toying with the front of his jacket. It was so easy to rely on habits from home, a comfort he's only now noticing.

He brightens, the beginnings of another smile on his face. ] Y-Yes! I'd really appreciate that, if it isn't any trouble for you. I'm afraid I'd get lost if I went to find you instead.

Hmm? No, it's alright. I didn't mind.

[ Relying on old habits really aren't all bad and he could never fault Mutsuki for doing that in a situation such as this one. It was second nature to rely on habits more than anything else, after all. ]

It's really no trouble at all. Are you somewhere near the bay, Mutsuki?

[ Having a familiar face here is nice and a comfort, he can rely on the other boy's company and perhaps he'd wish to stay with him rather than on his own but he can bring that up when he's found the other in due time. No need to get ahead of oneself too soon when they had so much time to do what they wished. ]

[ Mutsuki's gaze softens at those words, immediately reassured. Sasaki was admirable in many ways, but to him that ease in which he seems to manage everything and take it all in stride so easily is something he most looks up to. ]

Yes! I... haven't really gone far. [ He turns the view of the video to show that he's only a dozen or so meters away. ] I didn't feel comfortable wandering around when I didn't know where to go on my own.

[ It had started making him anxious, so he'd remained there to think and try to come up with a course of action first. Now that he knows Sasaki is here, however, he feels much more at ease with exploring. ]

[ That's enough for him and even as he responds next, he's already pulling on his coat to head out at once without any hesitations. Now that he knows where the younger boy is, he's not going to wait any longer to bring him properly into town if he can help it. ]

It's understandable, especially considering it's a little disorienting after you wake up there in a place you've never been.

[ There's a soft, sympathetic smile on his face now, uplifted and glad he'll be able to take care of the quinx boy again now in this place. ]

I'll be there in a few minutes so just take it easy, alright?

It felt like I was dreaming... [ He admits softly in agreement, before he matches that smile with one of his own, relieved and delighted over his luck at having Sasaki here with him. ]

Mm! [ With a quick nod, Tooru fumbles a little to turn the video call off, but his smile remains even afterward as he settles in to wait for his superior, staying in close proximity to the bay as his hands wring along the handle of his suitcase. ]

[Even if he isn't a bishop here, there's no why Labrador can ignore a lost child!]

Hello. I'm afraid there's no why back to your own world for now, unless this place decides to let you go back. Is there anything you need help with?

[ Tooru offers the best attempt at a bow he can manage while holding the device in one hand, before straightening with a faint, if nervous smile on his lips. ]

H-Hello! I see, so that video was correct then. [ He'd already believed it, but more assurances were never bad to receive even if they told him something he wasn't too glad to hear. ]

I suppose I'll, uhm, have to figure out what to do with myself. I doubt my job from home will be of use, but I don't know what good I'll be for any jobs here.

[Lab nods a little sadly.] I'm sorry.

Well, I'm sure we'll be able to find something suitable for you. Hmm... perhaps we could start with things you are interested in?

[ There's a quick shake of the head at the apology, his hands waving about. ] Oh, no, it's perfectly alright! It's not your fault after all a-and it wasn't as if I was good at my job anyway.

[ That's a whole other can of worms though, so Tooru is glad for something else to talk about. ]

Uhm, I really like reading! I suppose that's the only real hobby I've always had.

Eh? Now, now, there's no need to be so hard on yourself, dear child! [He smiles warmly and reassuringly.]

Reading? Hmm... What about working at a library or a book shop? My partner worked as a librarian back home and he's always enjoyed his work.

[ The other coaxes a smile out of Tooru, and he looks grateful for the words for a moment, though he doesn't quite know what to say in that instance. ]

I suppose those options would make the most sense. I don't think I'd mind either job if they were available to me. [ Curiousity glimmers in his green eye. ] If you don't mind me asking, what kind of work do you do here, sir?

[Aww... Lab must resists giving headpats!]

I'm glad you think so. I think either job would suit you well! And you could always set up your own bookshop if you can't find a suitable one to work at. We're allowed to set up our own businesses here. Oh, I don't mind at all. I'm a gardener here~! Ah, and I'm Labrador, it's a pleasure to meet you.
