[Aeneth had stumbled out of the pod, her wide eyes in searing pain when they caught the light peeking out in the darkness of the cave. The pamphlet provided far more questions than answers: why was she here? What did whoever kidnapped her want? How did they get to her?

As her footsteps falter to the mouth of the cave, the next shock to her system hits her-- the noise. There was no place in Thedas, no matter how crowded, that assaulted the senses like the modernity of Genessia City.

When the feed finally turns on, it's because the Inquisitor has managed the time to follow the instructions provided. Even with them, it's hard to see her entire face. Between shaky hands, disorientation, and just not knowing what technology is, the feed is just begging to be a hot mess.

But it's the best she's going to get, so she shouts into the videophone, hoping that someone can hear her over the din.]

Hello? Hello? I need... [Help? Someone to listen? Directions to the address provided by that girl in white?] I need answers, please!

[She pauses before speaking again:]

Ma elvhen-- ir isala halani, tel'dareth na mara san.

[She blinks for a moment-- should she be bothering a child like this? Where are her parents?]

Thank you for the offer, but I'm more concerned about you being alone. Do you have an adult to watch you?

Oh! Well I have people looking out for me if that is what you mean, but I live alone for the most part.

[She didn't mind really.]

But that doesn't matter right now, miss.

[She looks like she wants to protest for a moment, but rather than say anything to the contrary, Aeneth nods instead]

Of course it matters, but I'll put it aside for now as long as you're all right with it.

I'm truly grateful for any help you can provide, if you've the time to answer some questions.

I'm fine with it after all before I got here I was going to a place with no adults anyway, so it's a new learning experience to say the least.

[She gives a nod and a warm smile however.]

I always have the time to answer questions. I mean I'm not working currently after all and I don't need to today.

Working? What kind of job do you have, then?

[Thankfully, she's not adverse to earning her keep, but now she's curious as to what's being offered here.]

I just help looking after someone's pet, or I like to think they consider them a friend.

[She was given that job more than she went looking though.]

Is that typical employment in a place like this?

[She's heard of people who take care of war and farm animals but never someone dedicated to just taking care of pets!]

I think one can be employed in anything here, depending on what kind of job you would like.

[In her case it was just simple luck at the end of it.]

I don't intend on staying for long, but this is good to know. Hopefully there's need for magical expertise.

[That's a relief in itself!]

There is always a possibility, but it's best to ask first, but I like to believe there are people who might.

[She pauses slightly however.]

Though how long do you think you'll be here for?

[It's a question that makes her think for quite some time. What she wants is to leave as soon as possible. But what she thinks is slowly becoming more and more different. It's almost scary.]

I must leave as soon as I am able. My home... they need me. Many people may get hurt if I'm unable to return.

[She won't delve into the details, but she also can't ignore how dire the situation truly is, even when speaking to a little girl.]

[She couldn't help but feel bad for them. They had a reason to go home, they were helping people to not get hurt. Just like the reason she wanted to go home was to save possibly two worlds from whatever problem there was. She could understand that need.]

I see... Then I hope this world will be nice to you soon. Though... I've been here a few months already, so I guess it's up to chance.

[There's a lull of silence before she speaks up again]

You must miss your home terribly.

Some times I do. I mean I'm only eight, so of course I would get home sick, it's normal. But at the same time I know that I would have been without my parents to help me anyway before I came here, so I find this to be a good learning experience.

[Not a perfect learning experience, but one never the less.]

Why would you have been without your parents? Are they all right?

[Mother hen mode kicking into high gear!]

They are fine, they just couldn't go to where I had to.

[Saving two worlds and all, they were the Chosen Children for a reason.]

[Phew, okay. That's a load off her mind.]

As long as they're okay.

I hope you can be reunited with them sooner rather than later.

Who knows really, I mean I hope sooner, but we can't be sure when all this will be over.

If we work together, I'm sure we can find a way hoe by ourselves. Or to convince whomever is holding us to set everybody free.

I hope so. I mean I've made friends here as well and it would make me sad to leave them. But at the same time people have things to do.

It's an unfortunate trade, but you will always have your memories of the friends you've made here.

And that is an important thing, yes? No matter what happens the thought of ones friends is always important, even if they aren't there. It helps being here as well to think of friends back home.
