Open log ~ Tricks and treats

WHO: Loki and anyone
WHAT: The grand opening of Loki's store
WHERE: Trick-and-Treat, Fayren
WHEN: April 1st
WARNINGS: Pranks, lots of pranks.

After talking about a lot of depressing stuff with Susanoo, Loki started focusing even more on the store he had been planning to open. After some hard work (which was all new and annoying to Loki, to be quite honest) he was finally able to open his store.

Now was the opening day and it was time to advertise the shop one last time before opening its door.

"Hello, hello~ The day you have waited for has now arrived! You finally have a place to get all the sweets you need!" he said as he opened the video. In the background there was the shop with the sign "Trick-and-Treat" written in it.

"Today and just for today, everyone who visits gets one of these", Loki held up a small bag what looked like different colored sweets. "Just to give you a taste of what you can get from here."

With that he snapped his fingers and a candy popped up to the air and exploded, dropping confetti all over the place. "The store is now officially open, welcome!"

OOC: Feel free to reply any way you want. You can play among yourselves or Loki can pop in to talk with your characters~

Also over over half of the candy bags have candy in them that will explode once you open the bags. The explosion is actually harmless, it's just some smoke and scary sounds... and the rest of the candy is edible if you dare to try them.

Izanami was certainly curious as to what her fellow God was up to in this place. Trust him to create a shop by that name...

Taking on her usual guise of a normal, androgynous human, she slipped into the new store to take a look around.

Loki tried to make sure he met anyone who came to the shop. It was part of his advertisement campaign to give out free bags of candy, after all.

"Welcome to Trick-and-Treat! Here is your free sample", he said to the next person who he saw and then looked a little closer. They... looked rather familiar. Perhaps they had talked? Man this would be easier if he had actually went to see Izanami in her human form.

"Why thank you," she said, taking the bag and examining it. Whether any undesirable effects would even work on her was anyone's guess, really.

"So here's where you decided to set up shop, then..."

Perhaps she hadn't quite realised that Loki couldn't recognise her like this, or perhaps she had and was choosing to toy with the trickster himself.

"Yeah, it could have been any other place, but this seemed good as any-" Okay, that definitely sounded like she knew him. Loki was quiet for a little bit and tried to remember. She was so normal. Had she talked with someone this normal? Well, of course he wouldn't remember someone plain...

"Have we met?"

Now this was amusing. Her human disguise was clearly working well if Loki had absolutely no idea who she was. She chuckled softly to herself, holding out a hand for him to shake.

"Maybe," she said cooly.

Still wondering about her real identity, Loki reached for her hand and shook it. Somehow she was very familiar, but why couldn't he piece together who she was...

As soon as she grasped hold of his hand, Loki'd be able to feel the rush of her power.

Death and fog and the darkness of Yomi.

"I told you I had my ways of keeping hidden."

That really did pass through to him. Loki needs to take a second to progress that, but then he grins at Izanami.

"Heh, you really do. It's nice to finally meet you in person."

Izanami smirked a little back. Fooling the trickster God, at least for a few moments, was definitely a satisfying experience.

"Likewise," she said, slipping her hands into her pockets. "It seems like you have yourself settled, now?"

Loki didn't really realize he had been fooled, or if he did, he certainly the embarrassment rather well. Instead, he casually put his hands behind his head.

"Yeah. At least settled enough to think seriously about making a living."

"Trust a trickster to settle with a place like this," she replied. "Well, so long as it keeps you amused. What do you plan to do from here?"

"Business for now. I'll see how things start going before actually making any other plans." He needed to see how well his tricks would work on the people here.

Yukiko had to wonder at the name of the shop. Why Trck Or Treat? Was it to do with Halloween or something? She could tell somewhat it had to do with candy, but really... she just couldn't figure it out.

never the less it didn't stop her from at least going to have a good look around and to see if maybe she could advertise this place to the people who stay at her inn. It could work for them she thought, might make business even better.

Right now she was taking a closer look at something that she thought was at least interesting.

Loki watched over the shop and noticed someone take an interest with some of the products. Swiftly, he took one of the free sample bags and walked over to the shelf.

"Hello. Have you already received your free bag? It's a sample of most of the products here at the shop, in case you wanted to taste something!"

She turned her head slightly, moving to out some stray strands of hair behind her ear.

"Oh, I didn't. I just thought I would look around and see if maybe my inn could advertise this place to people who stay there."

"Is that so? Well, I would certainly appreciate the advertisement!" Loki's trying to smile politely, even if there's always a hint of mischief in his smiles. "Well if your guests like sweets, this is a good place to visit."

"If they ever show an interest in sweets, I'll let them know." Her smile was polite as she glanced at a couple of other things. She wasn't exactly a sweet type person herself, but it was always nice to at least look around.

"What made you want to open this kind of shop here?" She thought she might as well ask.

A question Loki was expecting someone to ask so he had been preparing a neutral answer for it, because he needed to sound business-y rather than saying 'I just wanted an official place to pull pranks on people'.

"Well, it seemed like a good place. I didn't find anything else to do, so I decided to do what I love. That's making and eating candy, basically."

"That's interesting." That was a good answer. Doing what someone loves. She knew it took her a while before she realized how much she loved working at the inn. But he... it didn't take him all that long. She had to admit she was a little impressed.

"I do hope you get the business I mean after all if you put love into it, people will notice."

"Thanks. I'll just have to make good advertisement and I'm sure things will work out from there."

"Advertising is always a good first step. After that if business goes well, I'm sure word would spread from that. But make sure it's something that's eye catching. That always helps."

"Eye catching is something I'm good at, as a natural born star and all."

"That's good then, you should be able to get business easily with that attitude. Though I wouldn't suggest being overly confident as that can be a turn off to some."

"Me? Overly confident? Nah, I'm as modest as I'm confident." Or just lying for the heck of it.

"Well, I guess I could be mistaken then." She stands up straight, turning around. "I might come back later, I would ask if that is okay, but this is a store... So it should be fine. I just want to check something at the inn first.2

"Of course, of course. A store is there for you to come back a~nytime. Have a nice day", Loki said with a overly cheery wave.

Who on earth gave Loki a business permit? Not that she's not proud of him. She is. But she's actually kind of worried about who's handing these out because they clearly didn't consider that he's a prankster.. but oh well, maybe they just could see the good in people like she and others could. After taking a moment to explore after seeing that little commercial, Yui was looking around rather impressedly.

And not touching anything.

At least, not yet. She wanted to get something, but she was honestly trying to figure out which one to get, since she was well aware that Loki didn't always play nice with his sweets!!

Of course, as soon as she found Loki she'd definitely compliment him... but until then she'll be wandering the store on her own, cautiously picking something up from time to time and wondering if it would be safe to buy and open it.

Yui had been one of the customers Loki had hoped to see. It was reassuring to see people he knew, somehow and... he was slowly getting used to Yui, even if she was a human. Not that he liked the idea, but at least he wasn't that opposed anymore? That, or that one bastard was getting to him with his speeches about him and Yui.

Loki made his way to Yui, thinking of a way of surprising her. Using the same old explosive candy trick seemed to old...

So instead he leaned closer to whisper something to her ear as she was looking at one of the items. "You turn into a goat when you touch that for too long."

A sharp inhale passed through Yui's lips when she suddenly felt Loki's breath on her ear as he whispered, her back straightening. She'd expected something more upfront, something that would explode or spring out and surprise her, even something that would get her stuck in a strange situation.. a simpler touch had been enough to surprise her simply because she'd been expecting something more extravagant. There wasn't a yell or anything, but she quickly turned to face him, her hand over her chest looking like she had just about gotten a heart attack from him.

"Loki-san! --Wait, are you serious? It's temporary, right?"

If it wasn't, that could be very troublesome...

Loki left out his normal, mischievous laugh.

"If I didn't make it temporary, I wouldn't be able to do several tricks on one person", he said with a grin before shaking his head. "Though as you know, I have a limiter. That's not what I can actually do right now, sadly."

Instead, he can make things explode, like one piece of candy a nearby customer had.
