Watching and Listening [Open post]

WHO: Balalaika and YOU~! (OPEN)
WHAT: Information gathering
WHERE: Some hole in the wall bar
WHEN: May 6
WARNINGS: Drinking and swearing

Balalaika could care less about what she had been told when she first arrived in this place. The information that she felt was important was remembered, everything else was forgotten and ignored. The last thing she cared for was who was in charge in this place. She fully intended to take control of the darker side of this place. It would take some time, but if she could pull that off then she wouldn't have to worry about things like that.

The best place to get the kind of information that she wanted would be the dirtiest dive bar in town. It wasn't the kind of place that anyone back home would find her in, but this place was new to her and she didn't care about her reputation...yet. When she had enough power then she would move up to a higher class place, but for now, she needed the kind of information that a place like this had to offer.

She adjusted her coat before getting a bottle of Vodka (or whatever was close enough to it) and sat down on a corner stool and just listened. She needed to find out just who was the biggest, baddest person in town and find out everything about them. So she sat, drank, and listened to the chatter around her.

This was not Izanami's usual haunt, but like Balalaika, she hoped to gain information by listening to the conversations of those around her. It had been the primary way she had learned about humanity in her own world, and it was no different here...except for the multitudes of non-humans, anyway.

Tonight, she was found sat alone at the bar in her androgynous, human guise, sipping a soft drink. There was no chance of finding sake, her drink of choice, here. To one experienced in people-watching, Izanami was clearly doing just that, her expression just slightly distracted as she focused on the talk of two nearby woman discussing their day at work.

"Hm? Yeah, I've probably got something..." she said, searching her pockets. She had gotten into the habit of carrying around small items like this for just this reason. It gave her an excuse to talk to others, which in turn gave her the chance to learn more about them.

"Here you go," she said, getting a lighter out of her jacket pocket and offering it to her. Whilst she noticed the burn scar, Izanami neither commented, nor focused on it. Having been burnt to death herself...well. She knew how painful that could be.

Since the...memory incident, Zelos had felt rather lost, almost detached from his life in Genessia. The memories of the past were just too raw for him to let go of so easily, so for now? Distractions were clearly the best way to go.

Slipping into the bar, Balalaika soon caught his attention. Perfect.

One he'd got himself a drink, he wandered over and offered his best smile. "Don't think I've seen you here before, beautiful?"

[OOC: Hope a flirt's cool with you :) I'm well aware this could go very, very badly for him.]

[OOC: Sorry for the late here too! And yes, I imagine it will end very, very badly for the silly boy. And I will laugh.]

In appearance, Zelos was fairly attractive, with a slight tone to his muscles that suggested he was in rather good shape. More strangely, though, was the small red crystal imbedded in his chest.

The scarring on the side of Balalaika's face did startle him, but he was careful not to let that show in his expression - Zelos was very good at hiding his true feelings.

"Ahh, a newcomer, got it," he said, slipping into the seat next to her. "How about I buy you a drink? Guessing you haven't had the welcome talk yet."
