[Mikasa seemed to be deep in thought once she appeared.]

I wonder.... I understand that most people want to go back home, but.... are there any others who would be okay living here? I mean... I get that there are important things to do back home, but...

There's just... more of an opportunity to really live a life here... One where we don't have to be constantly in fear that we might not survive much longer than tomorrow... One that really shows promise... It's taken me a long time to adjust, but I... I think that coming here from my world... isn't such a bad thing.

[She let out a small sigh at the thought.]

I don't mean to say that I won't keep trying, but... is that so wrong to want to be able to really live the life that we should have been able to?

[Mikasa wasn't exactly directing that to anyone in general. In fact, it seemed to be a question for herself more than anyone else, but with nothing more to say, she disappeared from the feed.]

[They'd gotten a good amount of work done on the mansion, but there was still plenty of things to do. For the most part, Mikasa's room was pretty much done except for a few projects that she wanted done. It was strange to have a room to herself, but hey, why not milk it for what it's worth?

So sometime in the morning, she knocked on Levi and Petra's door.]

[The irony of it all was that she thought that Armin was overworking himself and she didn't like it. She saw how tired he'd become. And yet, she had no reason to speak. The reality of it all was that she was doing the same thing if not more so than he as.

She'd go work as Deputy Guardian for David, and then go to the Schnee Company later in the day... and then come back home and work on small projects. Any bigger ones were on her days off. It was just easier to keep busy with work than deal with some of the other things that she'd be forced to think about. But she couldn't deny that she wasn't tired. It was pretty clear.

About 1 am, her and Armin arrived back home and after shooing him off to bed, she went to go sleep herself. Except she didn't head towards her own room. Was it intentional or by mistake? Who knew, but she ended up in Jean's room instead; not that it was strange by this point. Not even bothering to change out of her uniform, she ended up flopping onto the bed next to him.

Within minutes, she'd already fallen asleep and cuddled close to him. She would have probably been more careful not to wake him up, but she wasn't in the right mindset for that at the time being. Him being there was comforting and she did miss him while she overworked herself.]

It's definitely better than where we come from. [Armin's quiet for a long moment, obviously deep in thought.] I - I feel like I should want to go back. Our world needs you, and Levi, and the others. And it's our duty as soldiers. But... I don't.

I want to stay here, with you and Sansa and everyone else. I don't want to have to worry about the titans anymore.

[Or worry about Marco and Petra, both dead if they go back. Don't get him wrong, though - he'd still go back, if given the chance, however little he wants to.]

I just... I wish Eren were still here too.

[And it's that, more than all his feelings of obligation and duty, that makes him want to go back the most. He just wants his best friend back.]

[Mikasa was quiet for a while as she listened to him. It was as if she was trying to pick the right words to say. She knew that her and Levi were important back home because of their strength and talent, but part of her agreed. Of course he'd understand how she felt.

Finally...]

I... That's how I feel too. I... I want to have a chance to live peacefully and... I want to share that with the others from our world too. Sure we're kidnapped here technically, but honestly it's better here.

[And then Eren was mentioned and he expression dimmed.]

Me to. I wish he was here with us too.

I guess I'd be okay with living here if those I cared about would be here too... I mean, there are a lot of those I miss a lot.

[Especially his girlfriend, best friends and family. Living with Amu and Ikuto was nice and all, but... yeah, something of his life was missing.]

I don't think it's wrong to wish that you can stay here and live like this, though. We all have our circumstances.

I know it's probably wrong of me to think this way because I don't seem to share the same views of my world as the others, depending on the views, but I can understand that.

One of my best friends was here when I first got here and we were the only ones, but then... he left after everyone else came. My other best friend want to see him again, but we both know how important he is back home...

It took a long time for me to adjust to this place too. It's so different from back home... It's a lot more peaceful.

Yeah... That is a thing. I guess I'm just used to constant danger and there was never any promises that you'd actually live past tomorrow.

Hmm... still. People from the same circumstances often have different views and having them is ok in my opinion. So you shouldn't feel guilty about wanting to stay here.

Sounds complicated. Though it feels like whatever happens here, doesn't affect there because of the time differences, you know? Everyone comes from different times so there has to be some sort of a system it follows... not that I know anything that complicated.

Two of my friends have died back home, but are alive here... So you could say that. We'll probably forget about this place when we get sent back someday, but ignorance is bliss sometimes.

So that friend of yours might just appear here and things would still be okay. Never lose hope, I say! I'm hoping all the time for my miracle.

It might be better not to remember this place though. I don't think others would believe me even if I told them about it.

Yeah... I haven't yet. I just miss him. I'm still hoping that I'll find him in one of those pods again, but I guess I'll just have to keep waiting otherwise.

I don't really think talking about any of the stuff here would do much good back home. There's too much going on to give it much mind and the outside world was something that sort of became taboo due to circumstances.

No. I don't think there is any hope left personally, but my friends don't like me talking like that, so I try not to say it in front of them.

It's okay. It helps to have my friends here, but I'm so used to always having something to do, so I've been keeping busy with work. A little boring, but it works out.

[Luke appears on camera, exhausted. His little face is drawn, small dark circles under his eyes, as he peers into the camera. With a yawn, Luke blinks and then waves.]

Hi, Miss Mikasa.

[The tea shop is visible in the background. It's not quite in disarray, but clearly it's been...ransacked? No. That's not quite the right word, but it's been damaged. The shelves are rather bare, almost empty as compared to the way the boy usually keeps the store stocked.]

I...hmm. I don't know that I'd want to stay here. [He folds both arms under his chin and rests his head there, blinking.] I think I understand why people would want to.

[She was about to greet Luke per usual until she noticed all of the little things.]

I work as a Deputy Guardian and security at the Schnee Company.

[There's a pause. Luke tilts his head slightly, confused.]

Oh--you mean the shop?

Miss Weiss got stuck in here when the spirits were all running around in Genessia, and she got attacked. A lot of the tea got partly frozen 'cause of her magic, and then when everything melted it ruined a lot of stuff. I'm still trying to fix everything.

It's become quite a big company and now expands in two different cities. It started out as a welcoming committee for those who are new, but it's expanding into broader topics. Things happened in the past and it calls for security, but that's fine with me. It's something that I know what to do, at least.

It's also the company that hands out those holographs explaining the basics when you're new here.
