[ When the fog of waking up somewhere new lifts enough, Jean moves into the shocked stage of wandering around Genessia. He doesn't know these streets and little by little he's forcing himself not to think about the likelihood of not knowing someone being extremely high. He's also purposefully not thinking about how much of a relief it had been the last time this happened and Armin was there. Or about the Maeve dicking him over.

But it's only after chasing down a slim blonde figure wearing a powder blue dress, mistaking it for someone he cared for, that the shock shatters. He dumbly apologizes and steps back a few paces, looking panicked and lost. They shrug him off and walk away, leaving Jean to run his fingers through his hair. Soon, he presses his back against the cool concrete of a building and fumbles for the phone he was given.

It's different from his other one, but it's not something he can't navigate now. He exhales, thumb hovering over the video button. There's a chance that Armin and Eggsy are here, but there's also a chance he's alone. Either way, it didn't change the facts. He turns the video on, trying to look as calm as he can despite the pit of his stomach feeling hollow. ]

Can someone tell me where the hell I can rent a room here?

[Action]

[The person coming out of the Bay this time is a teenaged boy wearing a green cloak with an emblem of crossed wings on the back and a strange, boxy device. Probably more concerning to most onlookers are the twin swords he has drawn. At first he's wary, and seems more angry than afraid. Well, until he gets a good look around anyway. At that point he just looks really, really confused.]

[The hologram activates and he whirls around to ask questions and defend himself if needed. At least he doesn't default to trying to slice through the "person" suddenly standing behind him. That's a good sign, right?] Who are you! Why have you brought me here! What's- [He stops shouting mid-sentence as he realizes there's something very off about the woman. He spends a moment trying to get a reaction from her, and when that doesn't work he tries poking at her shoulder with one of his swords. At finding his blade simply goes through the person like air he looks even more confused than he did when he first saw the city. After that he at least listens to her, but at the mention of being kidnapped and trapped here he's back to being angry.] Oh, come on!

[He'll stay around a few moments after the hologram disappears, giving people the opportunity to approach him. Once he's left alone he'll take one of the maps and then use his gear to quickly get to the top of one of the nearby buildings so he can focus on trying to figure out the weird "videophone" thing he woke up with.]

[Video]

[When the video feed first switches on the camera's not showing much of anything. Just some random rooftop. It swings dizzily for a few seconds, but never catches a look at the person responsible for the broadcast. It does, however, pick up the sound of Eren cursing at the device under his breath as he tries to figure out how it works. Then it cuts out.]

[A few moments later it switches back on, this time with the camera pointing at the new arrival - upside down at first, but after a second Eren turns it the right way. By this point, he's looking pretty frustrated.]

Hello? Can anyone really hear me over this thing?

[Airy doesn't know if she ever wants to use the video function because she makes weird faces when she talks. Which means she's going to use the phone as a phone.]

Hello... Genessia. My name is Airy Miller.[What's the polite way to address everyone, anyway?] I'm not sure if this is a common question or not but I need to find a job and I was looking for some help. I'm not particularly good at anything. My only real talent is that I can watch someone perform a task and then do that task at an average skill level the first time I try it.

[She knows that's phrased weird but she has no other idea how to explain it.]

Anyway, I'm tired of being a freeloader so any help... would be really great.

[Airy can be found anywhere in Genessia. She has a piece of paper in her hands which she's currently holding on top of her head like it's about to start raining. There is a slightly hopeless expression on her features as she repeats the different jobs listings in her head.

She got the information from the newbie center or whatever it's called but she doesn't feel like she really fits most of these jobs. She doesn't remember being this indecisive all the time.

A soft groan falls from her lips.] Why is this so hard?

A subsidiary of the welcoming branch and headquarters in Genessia, this branch of Schnee Company focuses on Fayren-relevant services. [Mikasa hadn't seen Marco for a while and she wanted to say he was just busy doing stuff, she was starting to get a little worried. She didn't want to be the type of person to have to know where everyone was all of the time, but with Annie here now, maybe it was a good idea to look for him. She couldn't seem to find him anywhere and that's when she thought to ask if Jean had seen him around lately.... Except she couldn't find him anywhere either...

She had a bad feeling in her gut. Something was telling her that this was all pointless, but she wanted to believe that maybe they were just busy....? Going for her phone, she sent a quick text to David.]

Hey, I have a question for you.

You can locate the people you've met here before right? Is it possible if you could see if you can sense were Jean and Marco are?

[Phrased like a question because she doesn't want to say if they're still there...]

[After finding out that neither Marco nor Jean could be located, Mikasa decided to just.... go for a walk. There was no general direction she was going, but with her friend and boyfriend gone (again), she didn't really want to sit around the mansion and mope. Except she was still moping, just not in the same setting. She finally found herself at the coffee shop that Jean and her would go from time to time.

Part of her wanted to just keep moving forward because it made her think of Jean, but she was tired. She'd been working a lot lately and though it was mostly intentional and self-inflicted, she really didn't want to have to wander any further. At least it seemed slow this time of day. She got herself a random coffee (she asked the barista to surprise her) and located the least populated area in the shop possible.

She wasn't crying. She wasn't thinking much. More than anything... She was just.... numb. It was easier for her to just go numb than to succumb to her depressed thoughts. Of course it hurt, but he'd left before. He had also come back, but the odds of him coming back a second time seemed..... slim to none. The heart ache she felt was enough to make her want to just try to forget about feelings altogether. Forget pain, sorrow... any feelings at all. She just found herself staring at the coffee that was starting to get cold. She hadn't drank much from it just yet, but eventually she caught herself thinking...]

Maybe I should just go home....?

[Unlike most days, Mikasa hadn't worked today. Instead she spent all day wondering where Marco and Jean had gone to and then wandering around depressed. So by the time she got home, she seemed more deadpan than she usually was. She didn't bother to say hi to anyone or really do anything. Her first instinct was to return to her room.

So anyone who may see her can notice that she's not really acting the same. And even if she had passed others, she didn't seem to give it much thought or try to even talk or acknowledge that they're there.]

[ Waking up in an unusual place she had absolutely no recollection of truly had been a little disarming in itself but the information needed was right at her fingertips and that had indeed been a blessing. Though over anything else it was the sight of one of her own family doing the welcoming and it had been a touch surprising as she didn't remember leaving Weiss alone for THAT long.

So it's with no surprising level of calm that Winter uses to regard the device with as it turns on, her piercing blue eyes and hair easily bearing a resemblance to the Schnee name even without an introduction but it wouldn't be right if she didn't. ]

Good evening, residents of Genessia.

[ Her tone matches her appearance; curt and polite as anything else. ]

I am Winter Schnee of the Atlesian Military from the Land known as Remnant. Like the rest of you I have been apprehended and brought here against my will, and as such, if any individuals here can bear any further information on Genessia and beyond, it would be appreciated.

[ Her strict demeanor seems to soften for just a touch and she exhales a soft sigh. Not many would be able to discern the shift but it's there nonetheless. ]

Weiss. If you see this, please contact me. We need to have a talk.

[ As an afterthought she does add something to the end. Simple and straight-edged as ever, her composure never once breaking or seeming to bear much in concern to her situation. ]

I will also extend an inquiry to those who may hail from Remnant like myself. If you are here and you have any information regarding the recent events that occurred in Vale, I would like to be informed about them at once.

[Waking up at the Bay and then finding a hologram with Weiss on it sure weren't the things Lie expected to happen in the near future of his life. Especially when he was alone. If he hadn't gotten all that information, he really would have been confused but right now he is rather calm about this. Thank you, Weiss.

Though since he apparently isn't alone in this place, he should contact the person he knows is here. Well, unfortunately he can't make this call private now, but maybe it would be heard regardless?]

[ ozpin has collected all the information he needs to feel relatively comfortable finally introducing himself. he knows there are enemies here, and he knows there could be more enemies to come. he knows the majority of his students have experienced quite a lot of trauma in recent weeks, and he knows that he seems to be the only actual adult here to deal with any of it.

worst of all, most of this is his fault, and ozpin seems to be delightfully absent for most of it.

so, after dwelling on that for a moment, the feed turns on to show ozpin in a chair, in a corner of a bookstore that seems to be mostly empty. his cane is leaning against the table and while he still looks somewhat tired and worn down, his eyes are bright and he has a warm smile in place. ozpin has always been horrendous at playing the game, especially when such things are at stake. perhaps peace has made him lazy -- or perhaps he just genuinely believes that everything will be overcome.

at any rate, his students (and the others here) need him to be the leader that he proclaimed to be before everything went to utter hell, and so when he speaks, ozpin sounds like a conversationalist, calm and at the ready. ]

[ it's almost like today is a normal day, with yet another inspirational monologue from professor ozpin. ]

It seems that quite the collective of my students have taken root in this city, and transformed it into their own. [ weiss. ] I wish I could say that I could bring half of what they have to this place, but I'd rather not disappoint you all.

But as for introductions -- my name is Ozpin. I am the Headmaster of Beacon Academy, for those from Remnant who may not recognize me. [ which should be no one, but you can never be too sure. ] I've already spoken with several of my students, and it seems that our world has become rather popular in terms of new arrivals... but to the students I haven't yet had the opportunity to see, and the students that I don't have the pleasure of calling my own... I would very much like to speak with you. Privately.

[ the slightest hint of his teacher voice, but it's gone in an instant, and ozpin returns to his faint smile. he's not going to waste time concerning himself with roman torchwick or emerald or anyone else who happens to show up. they will come find him if they wish to speak more. ]

As for the rest of you, if you would indulge me with suggestions on where to locate a decent cup of coffee, I would be forever in your debt. In addition, I would also like to hear some of the positives of this place -- what do you like to do? What are your hobbies? Your work? You would be surprised how effective positivity can be in curing most problems.

[If you've been wondering about where Mikasa went, she appears to be aimlessly wandering Genessia City without her gear. In fact, she doesn't even realize that she's been missing. Just that she seems to appear..... different. It's obvious that she's been beat up a little bit and there were signs that she had previously been tied up. Her morale was low and being in a strange place like this just made her more scared than she was before. She had gotten away from her kidnappers, but just where was she now?

She's been wandering for a while now, but she was hungry, alone, scared, and hurt.]

There's been a sudden swell in criticism of Weiss Schnee in Nova City. Citizens gossip and chat with each other as more and more people hear stories from friends and friends of friends of unconfirmed rumors and unverifiable accusations about Weiss Schnee's behavior.

• Weiss Schnee embezzles company funds to buy designer dresses.

• Schnee Company uses unsafe construction materials and cuts corners on city maintenance. 

• The Welcoming Hologram stopped working for two whole months and no one could be reached to fix it until someone finally broke it! The hologram was fixed, but the person was seized by the Schnee Company and is being held in a hidden cell deep within the facility. 

• Weiss Schnee is a very unpleasant person, they refused to shake hands with me at XX event and then called me a dirty peasant (this, and rumors in their vein, is actually the most common).

Documents have been floating around too - unsourced papers linking Schnee Dust Company with the barrier break. Printed Research Studies showing shocking pictures of Dust having a gross negative impact on the barrier, photos of the ghosts in labs (attributed to belonging inside of Schnee Dust Company) being experimented on. 

The main distributor of the physical media comes branded with a newspaper outlet called Genessia's Integrity, run by one Nagita Shinjirō. The head of the paper has been fielding limited questions from other members of the press, but when the hubbub was finally getting mainstream attention, he held a press conference.

Yes, I am Nagita Shinjirō, founder and head reporter of Genessia's Integrity, a paper that's sole purpose is to find the TUMORS OF CORRUPTION within Genessia and TEAR IT OUT WITH MY TEETH. And journalism. 

I am glad that the real truth of this 'Weiss Schnee' is starting to come out. TOO LONG has this DARK ANGEL IN WHITE been gallivanting about in plain sight, pulling the wool over everyone's eyes, bamboozling everyone with her lacey outfits and disgusting wealth, while she plots Genessia's downfall! 

I'll be taking questions, that is, for as long as THE ESTALISHMENT will let me! I know now that I've come out of hiding, its only a matter of time until Weiss Schnee and her like make an attempt to shut me down, just like the courageous Romana Bove, who as far as we know is still being held illegally inside a Schnee dungeon, for the sole crime of trying to make the Shnee Company do the job that we expected it to!!
