Action/Video - Memories of the past
[Action]
[Mint green hair falls in front of her face like a curtain as she slowly rises. There is another box and a familiar set of writing inside. She remembers being home; creating memories with those she met after the Empire’s control wore away. Why hadn’t she remembered this place too? She’s surprised to see herself here again but she can’t help but also wonder: how long has it been?
Terra doesn’t waste time. She knows where she is but she needs to determine what has changed. She takes the box in hand, roughly knowing its contents and walked from the bay area.
Delicate fingers shield her bright blue eyes from the light as she takes in the sights. She doesn’t expect to meet anyone she had known from before and part of her truly hopes she doesn’t. She wasn’t herself then.]
[She remembers how the deceives work and with her added memories of home, using it became significantly easier.]
…
Hello. [Terra is a little awkward at first, her voice quiet and delicate like a songbird.] I was here before but it’s been some time. I don’t know how long it has been. My name is Terra.
If someone could please let me know what is happening or if anyone here recognizes me. I’d very much like to speak. I’d also like help with a few other things. I want things to be different this time so I’m going to start doing that now.
Thank you.

[Action]
I'm sorry to hear that.
[It is her fault that it happened, or at least, she thinks so. She should have been here to stop him. She could have stopped him.]
It's good that he's gone.
[Action]
I suppose the silver lining is that the damage was not permanent. Still, it is frustrating lacking the means to prevent something like that from happening again. On the other hand, things are slowly changing. Evolving.
[She stares at her cup in a moment in conteplative silence, then speaks once more.]
'Good', you say? Might I ask what your experience with him was?
[Action]
He was a general in the Empire army, in my world.
[She pauses trying to think of what to say.]
The Empire was my keeper from the age of five. We were close.
[Action]
General.. Then, you are a child soldier?
[She can't help but seem sceptical. Terra seemed so incredibly shy just a year ago.]
[Action]
Sort of, yes.
[Terra brought her tea to her lips, not feeling comfortable divulging more. Last time she was here she hadn't remembered the horrors of her past. Now that she has, she wants to keep them to herself until she knows how to feel about it.]
My world is at war with one Empire.
[Action]
[She shakes her head.]
How I lived is not something I think about very often- Growing up with only goals and strategies in mind. Even in this world that is all I think about.
But for you it almost seems as if Kefka's death has somewhat freed you of your shackles.. What do you plan to do now?
[Action]
I don't know...
[She doesn't know what she can do. She can't relate to others well having lived in a lab. Most of her dreams are of nightmares and so she doesn't know if she should have a roommate. There is a lot to think about.]
[Action]
That is understandable, I am sure you have much to think about. As for myself, it is my intent to return those who wish it to their home worlds. I have come to realize that I cannot achieve this with the support I currently possess.
Perhaps you understand where this is leading to, and of course I do not expect an answer from you right away. But if you would like to discuss how you could be of help, you may contact me at any time.
[Action]
I'd like to help but I'm not sure how.
[She needs to return home as well, it's only at her home that she can truly find out who she is. She remembers the resonance with her father before waking her again so at least she might be able to control her other half.]
[Action]
[Beat.]
Before I tell you my suggestion I would like to ask- What does being a soldier mean to you?
[Action]
I'm not sure. I was more of a puppet then. Some soldiers fight for love, others fear, though the term means to serve.
[She really doesn't know.]
[Action]
[Or rather, puts some into perspective. Now she knows she's dealing with a very delicate individual. Delicate as in she needs to choose her words wisely.]
There is much for you to think about, so I shall refrain from being too intrusive. What I would like, however, is an opportunity to learn more about your magic. If I could obtain a better understanding of those who possess the talent to use it, then I could better connect with them.
[Action]
I can tell you about magic but mine comes from the earth. You have to understand nature to understand it.
[There is an order and disorder to all of nature but those who can't feel it's flow can't come to understand it.]
[Action]
[Satsuki raises a hand to her chin, then nods to herself.]
Though this is also assuming you are unable to conjure chi.
[Action]
[In a way, it is the only gift she received from her father.]
I suppose it can be called many things and formed many ways. I prefer to use magic in it's purest forms.
[Action]
Interesting. If it would not be any trouble, I would like to request a duel with you sometime. Nothing high-stakes of course; I just understand better in an interactive combat demonstration.
[Action]
What is a duel?
[She's only fought in situations where the goal is to kill her targets.]
[Action]
[Still, that Terra isn't familiar with the word is telling. And interesting.]
An activity in which two combatants practice their techniques upon one another in order to analyze their level of skill. Your order does that sort of training, yes?
[Action]
Terra pauses feeling a little uncomfortable with the idea of attacking someone she knows.]
Maybe... I don't want to hurt anyone else...
[Even on accident.]
[Action]
My weapon is enchanted. So long as you do not go all out against me, I should be able to defend myself.
But if you would still prefer not to.. Then that is your decision and I will ask someone else for help.
[Action]
It's alright. I don't mind fighting you.
[Terra has to learn who she is to regain her full strength and that will only come by facing the things she's most unsure of.]
Would it be alright if it's in a few weeks?
[Action]
A few weeks would be more than acceptable; I am not in any particular rush. Just contact me once you are available.
[Sort of. She can be patient and follow Terra's pace for the time being. So once that is said and done.]
So, what do you think of your first conversation over tea?
[Action]
It was informative. Thank you.
[She bows her head slightly hoping it's enough to display her gratitude.]
[Action]
You are welcome. Ideally lighter subjects would be discussed over tea, but perhaps you understand the basic idea. Bring any friends you make down here sometime.
[Satsuki finishes her cup then sets it aside so that she can set out her payment for the bill.]
I am afraid I will need to take my leave shortly. Was there anything else?
[Action]
I might stay a moment longer.
