I am wondering if there are people out there who are more than willing to take on a pet of there own?

Whatevfur has a lot of animals in need of homes of there very own and since the incident. if you are interested please come along and check them out.

We are also looking to hire groomers and those that can help take care of the animals while they are here and make sure they have fun and enjoyable lives until they get that home. If you are interested in that kind of work, please let me know.

Now that advertising is done. Can someone explain the Dream Docks to me? I've been passed them a few times and I have some idea of what they do since the word dream makes it obvious. But I kind of want to know from those who have been to it. If that is okay of course.

[Hikari knelt down slightly and looked at each one, remembering there stories clearly.]

The gray one is called Sooty, when I found him he was just skin and bones and covered in fleas. I can't say I know his full story or how he came to be that bad. I just assume he was abandoned. [She stick her finger in his cage and lightly pet him.]

The fluffy little girl is called Snowflake. From what I remember she was found during the attack, afraid and hiding. She looked fine and healthy, however no one ever claimed her.

The last one is Tabby, she was found near death. Beaten, thin and very ill. I assume she was treated poorly by her original owners then when they thought she was dead just threw her out on the street. That's the conclusion the vet gave me anyway.

[She had gone to give each cat a pet as they all seemed rather happy right now.]

[She listens carefully to their stories. As she does so, tears well up in her eyes. By the time Hikari finishes Tabby's story, she's quietly crying.]

H-How could people be so cruel...? They're such nice cats...

[She wipes the tears away and takes a moment to calm down. Once she has done so, she looks at each cat again. Hearing their stories made it more difficult for her to choose. She also had to consider how Carla would feel, should the white Exceed ever come here. If anything, she'd want to adopt one her friend would get along with.]

Do they all get along with other cats?

[She nodded slightly.]

In this case they do to an extent, Tabby is more scared but once they get to know someone and know they won't hurt them, he is fine.

Hmm...

[She looks at the three once more, giving each a pet on the head. Tabby's story was by far the most heartbreaking, though she wasn't sure if adopting a cat who took some time to get used to others—cats included—was the best idea.

Still, since many of her friends were here, there was a good chance she could help socialize the kitty.]

...I think I've made my decision. [She goes back to Tabby and crouches.] Tabby-san, would you like to come home with me? [It wasn't her decision alone to make, after all.]

[Hikari had gone to open the cage Tabby was in, carefully taking the somewhat shivering cat out as she turned around.]

It might take them a little while to realize they are safe. Thankfully that doesn't take an awfully long time, a day at least when it comes to new places.

[She carefully moves the cat, holding them in her arms.]

See... It's okay. They aren't going to hurt you.

I understand.

[She holds out her arms to take Tabby, but won't actually take the kitty yet in case he's still nervous.]

My name is Wendy. [Smiles.] I promise I'll take good care of you.

[Hikari lightly catted Tabby on the head, stroking her as she purred, hoping that would help a little bit while she carefully handed them over. It seemed fine so long as they were being stroked.]

There we go, that seemed much better than I thought it would be.

[Once she had Tabby in her arm, she began to gently stroke her.]

You're a very sweet girl, aren't you?

[She looks up at Hikari.]

What do I need to do to officially adopt her? [e.g., paperwork, needing to pay, etc.]

In this case, just need to sign some paperwork.

[She turned around and started to head off as Tabby was still somewhat shaking for the moment, but was slowly calming down.]

All right.

[She continued petting Tabby as she followed the girl. Her pace was a bit slower than usual, as she wanted to be gentle with the kitty.]

[Hikari soon reached the room going to fetch the papers before placing them down.]

You just need to fill this out while I go fetch the basic starter kit I set up with all new owners.

[With a smile she turned around heading into a back room to grab a couple of bowls, a carry case to carry them in safely some cat food among other things.]

[She nods and places Tabby next to the papers, then begins to fill out the forms. Every few seconds or so, she stops what she's doing to pet the kitty. She's so cute!]

[She came back out with the things, placing them down at the side.]

There we go. Have you finished filling out the paperwork?

[Nods.]

Yes, I have. Here you go! [She hands the paperwork to Hikari.] If I'm missing anything, please let me know.

[It's likely she wrote down all the necessary information, but you never know.]

[She was quick to look it over, giving a small nod and a stamp.]

Everything is fine and that should be it. You have officially adopted Tabby. As you can tell I brought through a few things to get you started, but after that food and such would be sorted by you.

[She nods and glances at the starter kit before picking it up. She then gently picks up Tabby and adjusts her arms so that she's sitting comfortable in the gap.]

Thank you very much! [Smiles.] I hope the others find homes soon.

They will do.

[She pauses slightly before giving a small wave. She still had to go check on some other animals so she heads off back into the room.]
