Takeru-san and Dionysus-san's phones seem to be disconnected... Does that mean they went back?

[ She really hopes that's the case, since after that big mess.. she'd rather they be somewhere safe than in trouble. ]

I hope everyone is okay. I'm going to be spending time trying to repair the damage to the Kusanagi & Haller Children's Home, but I could use a little help.. [ She laughs somewhat resignedly, her smile not reaching her eyes all the way. She's a little tired. Yui moves the video to her ankle, which is wrapped up with bandages. The end of a crutch is clear near them. ] The doctor said I sprained it, but I kept looking for my friends after I tripped, so it's gotten bad enough that he said not to stand on it for too long. [ The camera moves back to her face, where she looks cheerier. ] I'm doing what I can from a chair, but if there's anyone that could help out, I'd appreciate it.

Oh! I was also wondering if there's anyone here who knows about gardening? I was thinking since the yard got somewhat damaged anyway, maybe we could make a vegetable garden that the kids living here could help out with. I only know the basics though, and since Dionysus-san is gone I don't really know anyone who's very good at it...

I got snacks for anyone who wants to help.

[ The camera closes in on a rather full bag from the grocery store. Yui isn't kidding about having snacks. ]

[That's too bad. He liked the juice Dionysus made the most.

Anubis would rather not think back about the event. Despite how upsetting it was, he looks completely fine and not tired at all. He wants to help Yui, but it sounds like there would be a lot of humans there, and that's scary. He looks down at his sleeves, and then back at Yui. Maybe he can help some other way.]

[ She doesn't need to be able to tell what that specific kabara meant to understand his general feelings in this case... Even if she doesn't know about the whole wine thing. ]

I'll miss them too, Anubis-san.

Ka...

[He feels bad that Yui misses them. If only he could reassure her somehow. Yui has been kind to him, so he doesn't like seeing her sad. Maybe if he tried hard enough--

Something comes to mind, but it would take time and effort. It doesn't help right now. So he just gives her a small, awkward smile.]

Kabara bara! (It's okay! We'll see them again.)

[ Aww, Anubis. The smile says it all. She nods, smiling back as best as she can. ]

You're right. Takeru-san said that you all came to my world in the time he was from, so I'm sure we'll see each other again!

Ka...bara?

[Anubis knits his eyebrows in confusion. Why would they all end up in Yui's world? Was that supposed to be another punishment? He pulls his sleeves up to his face and shakes his head.]

Bara. (I don't understand.)

[ Anubis's expression read confusion, and Yui.. well, she admitted that she didn't quite have the details on that enough to help. ]

I don't really know much about it, sorry...

Bara. (But your world must be scary, because of the way humans are.)

[He frowns, a feeling of unease settling on him. There were things about the earth that were beautiful. Animals, plants, the sun, volcanoes even though they were deadly--but he wouldn't go there himself. He's fine hearing about it from Thoth.]

[ Yui tilts her head slightly. She still hasn't exactly unlocked Anubis's personal language, so that bit was lost on her. She's definitely gotten much better but.. ]

What's wrong?

[He seems to retreat further into himself, his eyes flooding with fear.]

Bara! Bara kabara! (The human world is scary! People are cruel, and you--!)

[But she isn't cruel, which is why he's afraid she'd be hurt there.]

Hey, hey... Anubis-san, it's okay. [ She smiles. ] Whatever it is, you're safe. Do you want me to come back to the apartment for a while?

Kabara...

[He considers it. He kind of wants her to, but he's seen how much of a hindrance the crutches are. He shakes his head and points at her, trying to tell her to stay where she is.]

Kabara bara. (I can find you.)

Are you sure?

[ She seems to get the message, but she knows he doesn't exactly like going out around people. ]

[He nods a bit more firmly and shrugs. If too many people are there, he'll go sunbathe away from everyone else or something. He's good at hiding.]

[ Luckily, most of the kids aren't there yet and Yui got here somewhat early. It's the people on the way there that he'll have to worry about. ]

I'll see you soon, then.

[Yeah. Bad idea. Anubis is agitated by the time he gets there, and goes flying for Yui's (unbandaged) leg.]

Kabara!

[ There's definitely a high-pitched scream of surprise when that happens, Yui's eyes closing tightly before she realizes it was Anubis. She all but slumps in a combination of high-nerves and exhaustion from being scared. ]

Anubis-san..! You scared me...!

Kabara! [He isn't as scared as Yui, but he does jump back when she screams, looking startled. He frowns at her leg, thinking he might have hurt her, but relaxes a little when she speaks.]

Bara... [Is meant to be a reluctant apology.]

[ She seems to relax once her heart is done jumping out of her chest. When he gives her the reluctant apology of sorts, she gives him a smile as best as she can and reaches out for his hand reassuringly. ]

It's scary to suddenly be grabbed like that, especially when it's a girl's leg, okay?

Kabara... [Yui's hand is warm and full of life. He chews on his lower lip and nods. He'll be more careful next time. He's glad he's here with her now though.]

[ As long as he understood, then she would drop it. Yui gave Anubis's hand a final reassuring squeeze before letting go. ]

I was worried about you making it here, Anubis-san. I know you don't like being in public much.

[He smiles as if to say "It's all right", before he curls up on the floor near her. He feels better now that he's with Yui and away from the people outside.]

[ She can tell he's cheered up since he's managed to calm down. ]

It wasn't too bad coming over here, was it?

Kabara. (There are a lot of humans. But I avoided them.)

[It was still frightening, but not so much as being spotted or talked to be one of them.]

[ A lot of her understanding of him is still based in gestures and tonality, general body language and occasionally she swears she's got some kind of strange instinctive understanding of some of it. She's able to get quite a bit, but not everything. She knows that he has some type of social anxiety, but this time she's fairly certain that he seemed to make it through alright. ]

I wish I could help make you feel better about it, but I know it's not something that's going to go away so easily..

[His hands cover his heart, guarding it, but he looks surprised when she mentions she wants to help.]

Bara. (You make me feel better just by being yourself.)

[He doesn't think he'll get better, not unless something were to drastically change in the human nature, and even then, he'd be wary. But his heart is warmed by the thought, so he smiles at her. And then he looks at her ankle and frowns.]

Kabara bara ka. (Why do you do that? You should look after yourself too.)
