01. Video.
[The video flickers on and it's being held awkwardly close to the user. Viewers will see a very close up view of his eyes, and a bit of his nose, but nothing else.]
I'm not sure what fresh Hell I've landed in, but I was instructed to use this to communicate. To compound matters, I'm not sure with whom I'm supposed to be communicating with, but if anyone is receiving this, a reply would be greatly appreciated.

Well, that's the kindest reception I've had in this place yet.
[And a shake of his head at Pascal logic]
Super old? No, I would estimate that I have about a year's worth of memories that you don't.
no subject
Has anyone given you an unkind reception?
[She narrows her eyes and rolls up one sleeve.]
Do I need to beat up some bullies?
no subject
[He gives her small smile]
I appreciate the offer, though.

[And when Pascal says that...]
That's ok though, Everglade's got nothing on Nova City. Have you picked a place to stay yet? I know a couple sweet spots in the city here. We could be neighbors!
no subject
Are you saying that know a place I could stay?
That is in close proximity to you?
[His cheeks flush a bit there. Sorry, Pascal. Just getting to talk to her makes him happy, but the thought of living nearby and seeing her often? He wonders if this is a dream]
no subject
[She pauses. She picks up on the flush, but she's not entirely sure how to interpret it. I mean, she's a little weird, but surely he's not too embarrassed to live near her. Or maybe he's sick or something?]
...Or, y'know, anywhere else. There's tons of places in Nova City and I guess if you're really desperate we could check out the Genessia or Fayren too, but they don't have hovercars.
no subject
Staying near you seems to be the best option. And, while I'm not certain what a Hover Car is, but the way you're speaking of it, I sense it something important.
[And he covers that with...]
Besides, someone has to keep an eye on you, and if that must be me, so be it.

[Congrats Hubert, you're Little Bro, a friend, and her mother. She doesn't seem to think that's a bad thing, though.]
Oooh, you totally have to meet her later! I bet you two would really hit it off!
Anyway, give me a sec to close up the lab and then we can go check out the apartments. C'mon in.
[She holds the door open with her foot and waves him inside.]

I do not wish to be your mother, I just...believe that a familiar face is important to have around in circumstances such as these.
[He nods]
Yes, I would like to meet your friend and...all right, let's go see these apartments you speak of.

[It's an understatement. She's made friends here and kept herself busy just fine, but it's not the same. When set off from the Enclave she knew she wouldn't be home for ages, but she always knew she could go back if she wanted to. She could write letters to Fourier and Poisson, even if she never did. It was surprising how much of a difference that made. She flashes him a warm smile.]
So if you're my neighbor then I can totally help you with that! Just hold on a sec.
[That's right, Hubert. She's going to take care of you and there's nothing you can do about it.
She putters around shutting down various equipment and covering a few dishes and vials of shimmering liquid before she's ready to go.]

Yes, being in close proximity will be very helpful. Perhaps I can even convince you to try food beyond banana pies.
[He's teasing, and he rubs a hand through his hair, hoping that wasn't too awkward]
