[Action/Locked] Unasked and Unanswered Questions
Who?: Koishi and Satsuki
Where?: Satsuki's apartment
When?: July 15th
It was still fairly early in the morning and Koishi was already lounging on Satsuki's couch, her bulbasaur sleeping quite soundly in her lap. Her bag she sometimes carried had been set neatly next to her for once as opposed to being sprawled out on the table. She was trying to coax gothorita over too. At least they were keeping her in place and occupied else she might decide it was a better idea to go over and bother Satsuki...
Of course she could always bother the guardian from across the room.
"Miss White?" Well, there went the peace of breakfast. Though there was an odd tone to her voice, the little youkai's third eye open just a sliver. "I have a question for you, if that's okay. But you don't have to answer it if you don't want to..." A small pause. "When we did the thing with the trials and then give up something to fix the barrier the nice spirit said I could ask a question. I was wondering what you asked it..."
Well that question certainly came out of left field, though from the way she was acting it might have been occupying her thoughts for some time... Or as occupied as someone like Koishi's thoughts could be. "It seemed like a really big deal so I thought you'd probably ask a really important question..."

As for Satsuki, she certainly looks like she's seen better days. This is one of those mornings where things just aren't starting off on the right foot- Her hair's a mess, somehow she tear formed in her pajama pants leg, one of her slippers went missing. Just one of those mornings.
From the bathroom door, the Guardian replies, "I asked about the breach's origin." The answer is spot-on, but rest assured she is a bit surprised by the question. "It felt like a waste to ask such a simple question; but it did provide me with a lead I doubt I could have discovered even with my available resources."
"And you? What did you ask?"

As for Gothorita... well it wasn't just the Bulbasaur she got to see when she approached. Koishi reached over into the bag next to her and produced two plums, offering them to the little pokemon. "Give one to Miss White please. Okay? Plums are good for breakfast."
She could play with the Bulbasaur when he woke up.
She addressed Satsuki again. "That was a good question to ask. I knew you would think of one that would help. Sometimes the most simple questions have the most valuable answers. If you ever need help with that please ask me. I haven't been doing much for you lately and I really like being helpful." At the very least let her give you some more magic lessons Satsuki.
There was a pause, the youkai fidgeting a bit. "Well... Umm that's why I asked you what you asked. I couldn't think of anything to ask and I wasn't sure what question would be helpful. Knowledge is very powerful. I understand this. So the spirit said I could save my question and come back in a month but I still don't know what to ask."
A sigh. "I mean... I've thought of things to ask. But questions like what this place is and where it exists and what we're doing here are all important and the answers could be comforting, but they really wouldn't be of any help. I mean... You have to understand a type of magic or power in order to influence and possibly glean more information about the way this world works but it's not something that is easily conceptualized or understood by creatures with no innate connection to that type of thing. Miss Gaps might be able to do something or maybe the grumpy shrine maiden. But they're not here. And I haven't really come up with any other questions that aren't entirely selfish." Her third eye was open quite a bit now, all three trained on Satsuki.
"Do... You maybe have a second question?"

Happiness +2!
Satsuki actually ends up finding some comfort in Koishi's comment about her question. In truth it wasn't as if it was a worthless one, but Satsuki would have liked to have asked something else.
Little did she know that the opportunity was going to practically fall into her lap.
"Then there are a few things we will need to discuss, Komeiji. But my ideas for them are still in their developmental stages." She says, though after that she takes in her company's words. She notices her pokemon offering the plum, which she accepts, washes off, then steps from the bathroom still looking rather dishelved. Well.. At least until she's asked if she has a second question, which brings her to a sudden halt as she's a bit stunned byit. But to answer the question, "I have one or two."
It isn't that she thinks that Koishi is dumb. She just really didn't expect her to come up with an idea like saving a question instead of trying to come up with the 'best' one herself. At last she goes over to sit beside the small satori. Not too close, mind, there is a cushion-worth of space between them. "Are you offering to relay one for me?"

She watched Satsuki as she crossed the room and very gently she lifted Bulbasaur from her lap when the guardian took a seat. She placed him on a pillow which he immedeately snuggled into before scooting over across the couch so she was sitting quite near Satsuki. Close enough to lean on, in fact. Kosihi you really need to be mindful of other people's personal space. Even if you're happy they went and sat next to you.
"Yeah. I'll ask something if you have another really important question to ask. You've been here longer than sis and directly interact with more people so you've probably got a better sense of what is going on than she does. On top of that she can read the answer from you and read others and piece some extra stuff together if you want to ask for her help."
Koishi was all smiles, staring up at Satori. Her outline wavered a little but she remained quite easy to remain focused on. "But be sure to write it down for me exactly how you want me to say it. And maybe the spirit can write the answer down too. That way you'll always have it and you don't need to risk it filtering through my perception. Just make sure it's really good, okay?"

When Koishi moves to lean against her, she practically hackles up like a cat and gets a bit anxious. She puts up with it for about fifteen seconds before she has enough and stands up. "I am uncertain if spirits are capable of writing, however we may have luck using a recording device. I should have something small." said as she heads over to a lampdesk then shuffles through it.
"I have noticed that you are more focused than usual.. Did something happen recently that I should know about, Komeiji?"

The question, however, took her a little off guard. The youkai tilted her head, brow furrowing in thought. She didn't think she had done anything different. At least as far as she knew... "Um, I dunno. The whole thing with the spirits was really upsetting for me. My mind turtles up so I become more focused because I'm not reflecting or reading emotions." This is probably why she didn't notice how uncomfortable leaning on Satsuki had made her. "I'll go back to normal soon. being this tense gives me migraines."

She withdraws a pad from her desk, which she swipes her finger across several times, then glances to her company once more, with an understanding nod. "I will make certain you know how; it may even prove to be a useful device for you in the future. And perhaps that was a silly question in retrospect. I had thought it may have been related to some other matter." Beat. "Was Theodore Satchel difficult to watch over?"
Wow I entirely forgot about this. I apologize ;n;
The bulbasaur just yawned, blinking and looking around. It got up and hopped down to the floor, wandering over to Gothorita, investigating.
"I can go whenever you have everything ready and you show me how to use the recording device. But if you can please give me the question soon so I'm still focused, okay?"
That's ok; good timing!
That certainly doesn't help with the compliment of being smart and clever, but the issue is still that she has to somehow choose one question out of the few she has, and it's impossible to determine which would grant her the most information.
She thinks back to her talks with Raye, and decides to go along with that, even if the miko isn't around to help clarify, her hesitance suggests it's at least something important. "It is a simple question," she says to Koishi. "I believe our senses are being manipulated to see what the spirits want us to see. Therefore, I would like you to ask them 'what is the actuality of the ground we stand upon'?"
Gothorita is surprised when Bulbasaur approaches her. She levitates over a bag of fruit and nuts, opens it, then tries sharing.

Koishi removed the phone from her pocket, offering it to Satsuki. "If you record your question and show me how to do it I might be able to record the answer too. I mean, if you write it down too and all..." Her eyes were shining. There was more than a little excitement there. Her eye was open. Perhaps slightly less than Satori's at rest, and not quite enough to make it bleed. Satsuki had the little youkai's full attention.
Bulbasaur accepted the treat, trying to lift some out with vine whip and finding it difficult, though he managed.

It's nice to see Koishi excited without bouncing off the walls for once, but that's not really the focus of her attention! Hopefully, in time, Koishi is capable of recording, using Satsuki's random statements as a demonstration.
Gothorita shares the same patience as Satsuki, and even goes so far as to hold some berries in her hand with the palm up.
