[Did you subscribe to The Genessia Tribune? Did you even remotely wish you had a newspaper or some other form of media to refer to for news, weather, and current events? Then you're in luck! There's a paperboy riding through the streets of Genessia flinging newspapers onto doorsteps or, if you're unlucky, through your window. Purging the Creepy
Terror gripped Genessia City when an enormous abomination outfitted with way too many guns appeared to stomp out buildings and spawn icky little mini-monstrosities with every step it took. Many of Genessia's defenders were quick to mobilize in defense, including several of the Fairy Tail guild, members of Team RWBY and JNPR, some green robot guy, a vampire, Captain Hammer, a dude with bull horns, and, well, you get the picture. The monster was brought low, and city destruction was hugely minimalized thanks to a little help from God. That's not a trite saying, there was literally divine intervention at work here. Life may now continue as usual, though there is a great deal of speculation as to why the monster was here, and just what dark and disgusting goal it had running around in its spidery little brain.
Nova Guardian Election
For the first time since the establishment of all the cities, an election will be held to determine which candidate will be voted into office as Nova City's guardian. Previously, all guardians managed to obtain the job uncontested. Dr. Albert Wily, a renowned scientist and robotocist, made the initial bid for the job. Shortly thereafter, Professor Ozpin, an equally old man who was once the headmaster of Beacon Academy, raised a campaign of his own. Citizens of the city are advised to cast their vote via their radio devices in order to determine which old fogey they want in charge of all that technological goodness.
Goblin Activity in Fayren Mysteriously Mobilized
This frightening symbol of a carnivorous ram's skull has been seen frequently in goblin camps scattered throughout Fayren's forests. While most dirty peasants seem to be relieved that random goblin attacks and highway muggings are on the decline, there's an underlying sense of uneasiness at the thought of something, or someone, managing to rally these foul creatures into working together. Garyn, a local farmer, said "I always keep at least two dogs outside to watch the property. Goblins are typically afraid of dogs and horses. But they've been getting bold. TOO bold." The owner of the banner's fearsome and bizarre sigil has yet to be identified.
