[Cut Scene] The Adventures of Hawlucha and her Pal Satsuki
Satsuki would never admit it aloud but there was something oddly.. Entertaining about having watched Natsu and Lucy work. So obviously the next logical step to take would be to take a bounty job by herself, right? Yes; exactly.
As this was an experiment, she had made the decision to try to interfere as little as possible with the Bounty Hunting regulars, so found herself taking the cheapest paying job- which brought her out to Fayren for an extremely mundane task. Now, the farm owner may not be overly familiar with the Guardians of the sub-cities, but Satsuki's presence and look was so out there that he couldn't help but feel that the woman was likely not only important, but absurdly overqualified with the task as well. He droped to a knee in appreciation upon her arrival while apologizing for being 'so much trouble'. He wasn't going to turn her away, though. He made a living off those cabbage fields.
Once given the details, Satsuki went out to the farming area to find nothing, at first, but dug up dirt and a lot of holes where vegetables used to reside. It was obvious the critter would return, so she stood guard alongside Gothorita. An hour passed. Two hours passed.. Mercifully, fifteen minutes after that, a sinkhole like crater formed in the garden and from it arose a pokemon she had never seen in her life. A snake-like beast, emerald and black in color easily sixteen feet tall that belted a mighty roar.

"What.. In the world?" For a moment Satsuki was in awe, quickly followed by action! "Quickly, Gothorita, use Psychic!"
Merely two feet tall, it would normally be a wonder if the psychic pokemon could hold up against the beast, but Satsuki possessed confidence in her pokemon's strength. Gothorita raised her hands to her forehead. Doing so unleashed an astounding wave of psychic energy at the beast, but with seemingly no effect as Zygarde brushed the attack off without even blinking.
"Impossible.. Just how strong is this creature?" Satsuki murmured as it retaliated upon her pokepartner with a menacing glow of its heptagon shaped-eyes. A glare that shook gothorita to her very core. Familiar with the tactic as well as it's counter, Satsuki held out her pokeball, "Gothorita, return!" then reached for the second. She didn't want to do this. She really, really, didn't want to do this, but her back-up was her second-strongest pokemon that just may be able to distract her foe long enough for Gothorita to recover. But the price, oh the price she has to pay.
She barely got her fingertips upon the ball before it exploded into a brilliant, digital light, releasing none other than Hawlucha, which flipped rapidly toward the ground then landed in a graceful and proud pose. "HAWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!" Translation: 'EXERCISE EVERY DAAAAAAAAAAY!'
A bead of sweat fell down the side of Zygarde's face.
The 'masked' bird proceeded to strut in a circle to a beat that only she and her invisible crowd could hear, with occasional claw-clapping along with her steps.
'What's this before me?' One! Two! Clap!
One! Two! Clap! 'A challenger that thinks it can defeat the greatest style and make all the children cry??'
She dashed to the left and somersaulted. 'Ho ho!!' She dashed to the right and somersaulted 'Ha ha!!'. She even dove toward Zygarde with one more somersault, thrust out her palm, 'You!' finalized with a talon-down gesture 'Shall go down!' at which her foe lost its patience.
An anger vein bulged from the dragon's forehead. The beast lurched skyward, spiraled in the air, then attempted to crash down upon Hawlucha but, 'NEVER!!!' The agile hawk escaped with a flashy backflip. The larger pokemon attacked again, only to find itself evaded once more thanks to her diving tumble. 'Ho ho, you are /so/ sluggish, foe of mine!'
All the while Satsuki stared, absolutely stumped by how all of this was actually working. Just how lucky was this bird?
The posing, the posturing, the making the absolute fool out of it appeared to make the dragon absolutely furious, so much so that it threw a conniption fit. It stomped around in circles and roared which Hawlucha ignored in favor of even more showboating. She suddenly looked down at her right claw. 'My claw?? It burns with the spirit of my style!!' Her lower beak dropped as her claw appeared to be closing in upon her throat, but she barely managed to grasp the wrist with her opposite claw. Suddenly, it was a struggle to keep from strangling herself!? 'What is this?? I... I am.. Losing.. Control! Mustn't.. Give in!'
Meanwhile, at the height of its fury, Zygarde locked in on its opponent and stormed toward him with no intent of holding back. It gained enough speed to create a cloud of dust behind it that would surely trample the bird pokemon and bring the battle to an instant finish. And as it grew closer, Hawlucha continued to struggle with his inner demon until the last.. Possible.. Moment!! In which she leaped, twirled a full circle, then delivered an astounding chop between the other pokemon's eyes.
Freeze frame as the words 'AD HAWK CHOP' thunderously slam against either side of the screen, then vanish as the scene resumed.
Science would suggest the collision would send the small hawk flying. Instead, there was a sudden plume of smoke, with a tiny and charcoal colored fox sailing from it with swirling eyes and slack maw, "UAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!" it cried, and eventually landed on its back with an almost comical bounce. For a moment there was silence from both Satsuki and the wrestling pokemon, though the latter was quick to understand that her opponent was not Zygarde but the illusionist Zorua all along. '.. Clever.' However the match had yet to reach it's official conclusion in her mind so, with a victorious cry, Hawlucha momentarily took the skies to eventually splash upon the fox-like creature, much to the dismay of the lady.
Satsuki really disliked this part..
"HAW!!"
"No."
"HAW! HAW!!"
"No."
"HAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWW!!"
"Tch." It was apparent to Satsuki that if she didn't feed into the pokemon's grandstanding, the ebony fox would eventually wake up and escape. She looked to her left, to her right, and once she felt the coast was clear, sighed as she unhooked her sword sheath from her belt, then thumped it upon the ground once. "One." Twice. "Two." Thrice. "... Three."
Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssss.

Mewtwo had been flying overhead, gathering information and searching for Rockets since learning of their arrival when he saw the "Zygarde." His first instinct was to charge in, as it seemed to be accosting Fayren citizens, however he stopped when he saw Satsuki.
He still remembered when the girl tried to capture him, and he was curious to see if she had the skill to deal with the legendary dragon of Kalos. The Gothorita's confusion was understandable, however the Hawlucha was... unexpected. However, the longer the fight went on, the more he realized something... he couldn't read the Zygarde. Of course, once it was revealed to be a Zorua, it all made sense. However he found Satsuki's behavior the most interesting. He had not thought she would indulge the Hawlucha's request.
"You have grown as a trainer," he said, floating downward slowly.

Oh dear god. Did he see it? Oh god.
As Hawlucha hops to her feet, she strikes several poses to an invisible crowd, basking in her own glory. ".. MewTwo; it has been some time. How so?" the woman asks, her voice as calm as normal, but it will probably be obvious to the telepath that she's embarrassed and defensive.

Mewtwo touched down some distance away, keeping the Hawlucha between the two of them if only so as not to antagonize the showboating bird. He glances over at the "damage" the Zorua did, making a mental note to have Satori sign off on repairs.
There's a long moment of silence before he turns his gaze back to Satsuki. "When we last crossed paths, you were determined to catch me. To make me submit to you, even if that meant entering the battle yourself. I was just a tool, a source of power to be ordered around, now..."
He gestures at the Hawlucha, his face softening slightly. "...you have adapted to your Pokemon, and indulge them their quirks. The girl that drew steel against me would not have had the patience for such... 'insolence.' It is the mark of a maturing trainer to know when to allow their Pokemon their indulgences."

Meanwhile... He saw it.
A 'tch' passes her lips as she breaks eye contact. "I merely recognized that my blade is not the 'honey' required to obtain your loyalty." Though perhaps she says that more to convince herself than MewTwo. She sets her sword back upon her belt, carefully tying the strings in the process. "In Genessia, every one of us is a means to some end, myself included. Some adaptability in my tactics is a required necessity."
