Who: Anastasia & Mamoru Only
Where: From the K&H Home for Children to their nearest Pokemon Center.
When: 10:00 AM, the morning following this specific conversation.
Why: Because Anastasia's Totodile.
Warnings: Totodile.

"Good morning, Sir Mamoru. I hope I am not disturbing you this morning. I would like to visit the local Pokemon Center to find food and toys for Toto and Snover. I was wondering if you were available to accompany me. I will be outside of the Home front entrance with my pokemon waiting for your reply. Talk to you soon. ~Anastasia

Action

[Anastasia sat just outside the front entrance of the K&H Home for Children, nestled under the shade of a tree with her Snover sitting beside her. Nearby was her Totodile suited up in a harness and leash, attached to a sturdy rod jutting out of the ground, so Totodile was burning off extra energy by running around in circles.

While she quietly sat in the shade, she would periodically check her device and her surroundings for Mamoru.]

[Mamoru had gotten he text, and was fully willing to meet up to walk with Anastasia there. He hurried out of the Home after finishing his breakfast, wearing the familliar white toga with red cloth, shoulderpads, sandals with brown leg braces, and golden arm bangle. Mamour though maybe he should get some new clothes soon, but he was still getting used to where the shops were in Genessia so he hadn't gotten around to it yet.]

"Good morning, Anastasia-chan!"

[He was shoting that pretty loudly in a confident voice from pretty far away, but he tried to run up to her quickly, his Pokemon following him.]

"You needed to go to the Pokemon Center?"

[At this point, one of his newer Pokemon, a Chatot, perched on his shoulder.]

"Don't worry, Mic. I wasn't gonna forget you!"

[Anastasia was surprised at how someone could shout that loudly. At least most people are awake by this hour.

She stood up to greet Mamoru properly.]

"Good morning, Mamoru. And that is right, I want to visit the pokemon center to find food and toys for my pokemon. I was hoping you would accompany me."

[And right on target, Anastasia's Totodile came another full circle and bumped into Mamoru. The little pokemon shook off its surprise and looked up at Mamoru to stare at him.]

"Well, in that case, let's get going!"

[Mamoru spoke in a very friendly, polite tone, and began walking in the direction of the Pokemon Center, but going slowly for the other to keep up, Mamoru didn't mind leading, but he was always one to make sure he wasn't leaving anyone behind. He hated leaving people behind...]

[Anastasia recalled her Snover to its pokeball while she detached her Totodile's leash from the rod in the ground.]

"Toto? Water, please?"

[Upon the request, Totodile faced its trainer and spewed water into the air, letting it rain down and soak Anastasia, helping to protect her from the hot weather. And with that, Anastasia and Toto hurried to catch up with Mamoru.]

"Sir Mamoru, if I may ask? What is this 'chan' you keep adding to the end of my name?"

[Mamoru smiled as her Totodile brought her some water, it was sure nice, having Pokemon around to help us out with anything we needed, Mamoru though, but though that "It's awful there are people who abuse them like those criminals" he thought to himself]

"Eh? Well, from where I come from, when you say someone's name, it's polite and expected to add a title to the end. Different people need different titles depending on gender and whether they are older than you or are the same age or younger. If you were older than me, I'd be calling you Anastasia-san. But since you're around my age, and you're a girl, I use -chan. If you were a boy, I'd use -kun, or depending on the situation, drop the title completely. It's also acceptable to use those titles for those younger than you, but never to someone older or above you. in that case, it's best to stick to -san but I sometimes use -niichan or -neechan if I really am close to that older person, like if I consider them family or a bigger brother or sister."

[Mamoru felt silly explaining japanese honorifics to Anastasia, when, after all, everyone in Genessia is fully capable of speaking english by way of magic. It's just the use of Honorifics were a hard habit for Mamoru to break, almost like a verbal tic.]

"I'm sorry, I can stop using them if they bother you. I just think I'm being rude or impolite if I don't use them. I've been used to using them in my speech my entire life."

[Anastasia shook her head and tried to match her pace with Mamoru.]

"You do not have to stop. If it is part of your culture, you should embrace it. Every aspect of it."

[While she may say so, the fact that heat is rather harmful to her people is something she could do without right now. Currently, she can't think of any real bright side to having this flaw in Genessia.]

"Part of my culture, huh?"

[Mamoru was a bit bothered by that, yeah, it's true he was raised in Japan and brough up on those customs, but the truth is he wasn't even human.]

"It's actually harder than it looks when you're originally from one culture and you were brought up in another... like me."

[Born in one culture and raised in another? Anastasia wasn't sure if she could understand by relating to the experience.

Along the way, her Totodile made attempts to bite whatever sign, critter or plant they passed. Anastasia simply tugged on his leash to gently pull him away before the jaws made contact.]

"Do you want to tell me about it? You do not have to if you do not want to."

"I don't mind...I just hope it doesn't scare you."

[Mamoru slowed down a bit as he prepared to tell her this.]

"I may look human, but... I'm actually an alien. I'm the last of my people, my homeworld was destroyed when I was very little. I was sent to the place I grew up when I was just a baby."

[Mamoru looked a bit nervous, he knew it was hard to believe, but he figured at least maybe he could show her. as he turned around to face her, looking at her with his big green eyes.]

"Here, let me show you. Promise to not get scared, okay?"

[Mamoru gave her a smile before he closed his eyes and concentrated, after which he began to glow green, his hair standing up as he sprouted white fairy-like wings, as his entire body emitted the green glow and he floated in the air, almost like magic, as a chime sound could be heard.]

"I hope I have not scared you too much..."

[Anastasia did know what to expect, but she was certainly surprised when Mamoru began to transform. She looked away, but didn't run. Her Totodile certainly did. It turned tail and ran from Mamoru, its leash escaping Anastasia's grip and the little pokemon ran to hide. Sadly though, Anastasia didn't realize this.

Once Mamoru spoke up again, Anastasia slowly turned to face him once more.]

"Mamoru... That's amazing... You look like a deity from my world; Gale, She who controls the winds."

[After showing her, he closed his eyes and changed back to normal, the wings dissappearang as he laded and the glowing ceased and his skin and hair returned to their usual state. Mamoru thought it was best to not cause a commotion, as others might not be as kind about the real him as she was.]

"You know...I didn't always know the truth. About being an alien... about my destroyed homeworld... I used to think my powers were some magical gift... like some kind of gift from God. That's why I worked so hard with my friends and comrades to protect others from our enemies... for the sake of Courage."

[Mamoru said nervous and sad at first before putting on a smile]

"So you saying I'm like a deity bares some level of irony I guess. Come on, the Pokemon Center can't be far now."

[Anastasia felt a little sad about a destroyed world. To think, memories and history all gone. She was able to put it out of her mind when Mamoru once more spoke of courage.]

"I hope so. This weather is starting to wear me down. Come on, Toto. It's not too much farther now."

[Anastasia on a leash that was no longer there. She looked at her hands, then looked behind her. No leash and certainly no Totodile. She dashed back a short ways looking for any signs of her pokemon.]

"Toto? Toto!? Toto, where did you go?!" [Panic begins to set in as she begins to break down into tears.] "My Totodile! Where's my Totodile?!"

"Does the weather bother you? Are you okay, Anastasia-chan?"

[Mamoru voice was heavy with concern as his eye looked rather soft, but they shot open in surprise when she said Totodile was missing. It was situations like these that Mamoru's impulses for saving and protecting others took over, putting a concerned hand on Anastasia's shoulder.]

"It'll be okay, Anastasia-chan... I'll find your Totodile, definitely. Please don't be sad..."

[Mamoru looked in concern at Anastasia before his eyes turned serious and courageous, looking to his own Pokemon.]

"This is an emergency! Spread out and look for Totodile! I'm counting on you, EnRyu! Goldy!"

[Mamoru was trying to lead in this situation, even if his Pokemon didn't know what to do, he still trusted in his Sandshrew and Cyndaquil reguardless.]

"I know... sending off my own Pokemon to look for yours means they might get lost, too... But, I believe in them. Our Pokemon... they inherit our best qualities, right? I believe that they would inherit my courage, and that means they're not scared of what's out there... That makes them Brave Heroes!"

[Mamoru was sounding confident, but there was a tinge of concern to it. He still tried to smile though, despite how bad this situation could be. He had to smile, for her sake. His friend told him to always smile, even in the most dire of situations, that's what it means to have Courage.]

"I still have Mic and another of my Pokemon with me. We'll still be alright if those criminals show up."

[Mamoru said, smiling motioning towards the Chatot still perched on his shoulder and the Pokeball on the belt of his white toga.]

"I'm so tempted to transform and fly and look myself... but I don't want to leave you alone. I still gotta protect you..."

[The weather did indeed bother her, and all her panic only served to wear her down faster as shown when she collapsed to her knees. She managed to get her Snover's pokeball and release it.]

"Snover... Powder snow... please..."

[Snover understood and began to gently blow Powder Snow at its trainer, trying to cool her down. With Mamoru's pokemon looking for her Totodile, she was beginning to calm down a little, but she still looked weak and tired.]

"How... How could I have been so careless?"

"Anastasia-chan!"

[Mamoru called out to her out of pure wOrry and concern and tried to catch her as she began to collapse, his eyes burned with a desire to make sure she was safe, but wide with concern.]

"Are you okay? Please....please don't push yourself any harder! May I... help you get somewhere where you can rest, like somewhere in the shade?"

[Mamoru's expression then turned sad.]

"Don't blame yourself...It's my fault... I distracted you, and Totodile got lost...But... I promise I'll find him, and I won't let anything bad happen to you, Anastasia-chan! I'll do everything I can to help you!"

"Yes, please... Help me over to the shade..."

[Anastasia had never felt this weak before, even back home when she used her magic.]

"Oh... I really hope Toto didn't get himself into any trouble..."

[Meanwhile, not to far from where Anastasia and Mamoru, the run-away Totodile was still running away, but this time from a man wearing black and a crimson 'R' on the shirt. Before the pokemon could get away, the Rocket Grunt caught the leash and pulled Totodile to him, using the leash to bound its mouth closed.]

"Thought you could get away from Team Rocket, huh, squirt? Hahahaha!"

[Mamoru guided her into the shade and gently set her down underneath the tree.]

"It should be more comfortable for you here..."

[Mamoru said with a smile as he tried to hide how scared he was for her. He was so scared her condition would get worse, especially if he planneed to do what he thought to do...]

"Anastasia-chan, I need to go check something out...I...sensed something... you should be okay here... Wait for me, alright?"

[Mamoru said with a smile as he made the decision to check out the feeling in the bottom of his heart. He travelled a short distance and caught up with his Pokemon, who pointed at the team rocket member. Mamoru's eyes turned angry, and he looked at the criminal, his heart burning with courage and justice.]

"Let him go right now!"

[Once in the shade, Anastasia allowed herself to topple over. She figured laying down will help in the shade.]

"I'll be fine... I have Snover with me."

[She rested her eyes at that point and listened to his footsteps fade away. Her Snover continues to use a gentle Powder Snow on her.

Meanwhile, Rocket Grunt was delayed in calling his superiors when Mamoru appeared.]

"Huh! A wild brat appeared! You think making demands of Team Rocket will solve your problems? You're not getting this Totodile back, kid!"

[Somewhere in this Grunt's mind thinks Mamoru really would just back down. How mighty he must be feeling for catching a leashed pokemon.]

[As he walked, he thought to himself 'Hold on for just a little while, Anastasia-chan, Soon I'll definitely come back with your Totodile!']

"That Totodile belongs to Anastasia-chan, so why don't you just give it back?"

[Mamoru knew kind diplomacy was probably not going to solve this situation with how this criminal was acting. 'In that case...
' Mamoru though as his eyes became determined again, he began to glow again, and floated in the air as his wings spouted and he floated in the air with the chime sond could be heard, as he began to speak, the green gem necklace he wore began to glow oo, with a strange "G" symbol circuit shining inside it, with a similar one appearing on his forehead.]

"I may not know what true justice is.... I may just be a little kid to you... but for the sake of those I must protect... for the sake of Anastasia-chan, and the other people in Genessia who can't defend themselves against you, for the sake of the innocent Pokemon you've hurt, like Totodile, and for the sake of The Oath Sworn Through Courage... I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU! ABSOLUTELY NOT!"

[The Team Rocket Grunt was defiant at first, until Mamoru began to glow and even less defiant when he fully transformed.

Now, the Grunt looks as though he just dropped a few pounds into his trousers.]

"Forget this, then! Take the pokemon, I don't want to deal with some freak of nature!"

[The Grunt raised the Totodile and threw it with all his might at Mamoru. He then turned and ran away, likely to not be a bother to anyone else anytime soon.]

"You aren't going to get away with this!"

[Mamoru wanted to chase him but when the Totodile came flying at him, he flew to catch to Pokemon safely, and calmed down a bit.]

"Are you okay, Toto?"

[Mamoru then landed and stood there as his glowing ceased and he looked upset at the direction the criminal ran in.]

"He got away..."

[Mamoru slowly headed back into Anastasia's direction, tired, his toga a bit ruffled from the flying dive he had to make to get Toto safely, his face was also a little banged up from the landing, a bruise forming on his cheek, as he staggered a bit in his walk as he had sprained his ankle. thankfully the brown leg guards of his sandals prevented any further damage. on that rough landing.]

"Anastasia-chan...Totodile is safe..."

[Mamoru smiled as he set Totodile next to her before he limped over to the tree and collapsed in a sitting position, gripping his ankle.]

"I was careless...That Team Rocket guy... I let him get away..."

[Anastasia was mostly awake when Mamoru returned with Totodile. When the little pokemon was set next to its trainer, it was pretty quick to rouse the girl by spraying water in her face. That got her up-right and coughing up water pretty quickly.]

"Ack! Toto!"

[Now she was completely soaked, but she is going to be fine now. Once her coughing subsided, she looked over to Mamoru...]

"Mamoru... Are you hurt? I'm sorry, it's because of me and Toto, wasn't it?"

"No... It was the fault of that guy! That Team Rocket Grunt who took and mistreated your Totodile!"

[Mamoru yelled that last sentence, still in pain, and upset he let him get away.]

"He threw Toto! I got hurt because I had to save him! But... I let him get away..."

[Mamoru was frowning now, still upset at himself that he was the reason this all happened, and blaming himself for not being able to stop the criminal from getting away.]

[Anastasia turned her head away when Mamoru raised his voice. Once he was done, she looked back to him once more.]

"The important thing is no one was seriously hurt. Both you and Toto came back to me alive."

"But...That guy... he might steal or hurt someone else's Pokemon! I...I couldn't stop him... ~Uwaaah...."

[Mamoru voice became more heavy and eventually he slumped to the ground and passed out.]

"He will be taken care of eventually. All of his 'progress' will come undone. Let us just leave the rest to the adults now..."

[Anastasia watched him pass out. She wondered how exactly he got so banged up just by finding her Totodile. She could only come to one conclusion and she shook her head.]

"...Boys..."

"Maybe you're right about that..."

[Mamoru spoke in his sleep as he tried to hug himself close and recover his energy, after a while, he eventually started to come around and wake up.]

"I'm feeling much better now. I'm sorry for earlier, Anastasia-chan... I just kinda take it hard when I feel like I didn't do enough. I'm sure the adults will know what to do about Team Rocket, though. you were right."

[Mamoru was smiling now, wanting the situation to return to how things were, he stood up and seemed to be feeling a lot better.]

"Come on, Anastasia-chan. let's get to the Pokemon Center, and then head back to the Children's home. We've had a busy day, huh?"

"Yes, we should not waste more time..."

[Anastasia rose to her feet. She was still wet from her Totodile's surprise Water Gun of Greeting, which meant she'll be fine in this weather she finds uncomfortable. She recalled both of her pokemon to their balls so she won't so easily lose sight of either one.]

"It has been a difficult day...but thankfully, not the worst day I ever had. And, thank you, Mamoru, for all you have done for me today."
