At Scribes and Scripts - Afternoon (Closed to Levy and Nozaki)

[ Nozaki had scheduled, well, told Levy that he was on his way through a text message. he figured that he needed to get it all done before the afternoon.

entering the shop with two of his manga books, he looked around at everything. the must have just opened.

he came up to the counter, looking around for a moment while he stood there. he seemed a little lost in his own thoughts ]

At Library Coffee Shop - Afternoon and into the night (Closed to Chiyo and Nozaki)

[ Nozaki was worried about running late so he came running back to the coffee shop inside the library nearby where he had asked Chiyo to meet him. unfortunately, he ended up running into several people along the way. thankfully, it wasn't anything too horrible.

he headed up to the second floor and stood outside the door for a moment, looking at his reflection. he was in a different outfit other than his usual school uniform that he STILL wore here. he was a creature of habit. he had on a navy blue dress shirt with gray pants and black shoes. who dressed him? he looked nice!

while looking at his reflection, he pushed his hair down to try and look a little bit better and then entered. he went to sit where Chiyo was, looking nervous. why was he even nervous in the first place?

then he remembered something and put his hands onto his face, giving a scream into his hands... what the hell? ]

[Levy is in the back and hears a soft little oink that Tepig has begun to do whenever anyone steps into the shop. It is a simple shop, books lining the walls with a pedestal in it's center.

When Levy walks out from the back, her hair is a little messy though she quickly ties back the blue mass of tangles.]

Hey! [She glances at the manga books and smiles.] You came! That must be your book.

[If he looks down there is a sign that says BOOK HUNTERS: Can find any book you need]

Yes! I am here. [ obviously. he looks a little nervous and then places the books on he counter. they're simple; hand printed, color on the covers, black and white on the inside, and bound with three staples in the middle like a comic book. it's not the best but for doing it all himself - it was pretty impressive! ] Sorry that it took me so long.

Nice place you have here. [ he takes a glance around again. he's probably not anything she expected for someone who writes shoujo romance manga about angels. he probably towers over her i'm so sorry ;; ]

[Levy shakes her head, carefully picking up the first book.]

I think it's wonderful. You really are amazing. [She smiles, hoping he believe's it too.]

[She isn't to phased by height. Fairy Tail is filled with many sorts of strange people.]

You mean that? [ he's absolutely beaming!!!! ]

Of course! I'll bring a few in next week to see how they sell and start making more. The truth is, this is the first manga that I've done on my own with just my assistants. I had an editor and a publisher in a bigger manga series at home. So this has been...a really long time coming.

[Levy's smile widens.]

If you need any help publishing them please let me know! I'd be happy to try and lend a hand though I'd have to figure out how.

[She laughs at that. She's been doing so much lately. She can't really promise to do something more, at least not in a timely fashion.]

I just think it's amazing to meet a writer. I've never been good at writing myself but I love reading.

Tepig seems upset that he's being ignored and her other pokemon are asleep in the back of the shop. The little pig jumps up on the counter and then begins to stare at this intruder.]

[ kablink. are they having a stare down for a moment? Nozaki has forgotten about their conversation and is trying to reach a hand out to pet the little piggy ]

[Tepig is fine with people petting him and as Nozaki does he'll receive little grunty noises that mean he's happy. Levy smiles at the pair.]

He likes you.

[In case he hasn't noticed.]

Unless he smells the food that I was giving Umami earlier. [ and he's patting the little pig's head ]

He might. [She laughs softly while Tepig relishes in the attention.]

He certainly seems to like you which from my experiance is always good.

[Animals had a better sense for people after all.]

Yeah, these Pokemon are so weird... They don't seem like a threat though, so maybe things will work out with them. I let Umami color the poster inside the manga. She can color pretty well for not being human...and having human hands.

[Levy's head tilts to the side. She assumes it's a pokemon but she doesn't know what it might look like.]

My Treecko. I wasn't sure if she would be okay coming somewhere new, so I left her at home.

[Might be for the best with Tepig being a pest in her shop.]

Sounds like a very talented pokemon. [She smiles.] Are you going to be writing more? I'd love to carry the whole series.

[ he's beaming!! ]

Yes, of course! I'm really glad that you want to carry to entire series.

You're far too generous. [ did he just flip flop emotions? he looks like he might cry now ]

{She smiles, holding up her palms as if that might stop his tears.]

[Chiyo's been waiting- but only becaide she left extra early. She sits with her head down, fists clenched on her lap as she waits. She's wearing a cute baby blue dress, with... gasp! Matching bows.

It's not until he joins her that she raises her head, spitting out a greeting.] N-Nozaki-kun! Welcome-- [ Oh. his head in his hands. she frowns.] ...Are you alright?

[ they're matchiiiiiiing! he moves his hands, looking distraught ] I forgot to get you flowers... I've already ruined this for you!

[polkadottie]

N-no! Nozaki-kin, it's alright, it's perfect!

Are you sure?! [ he looks so worried but decides not to dwell on it. maybe if he got her some later he could make up for it... ]

...Anyway, did you get anything to eat or drink? I'll get us something.

[polkadottie]

I'm sure! It's more than I could have dreamed of! [ She nods frantically, waving her hands in the air in an attempt to calm him down. SOMEONE HELP, EVERYONE'S STARING AT THEM... ]

A-ah, something to drink would be good. [ Okay, but which seat drink should she pick?! She doesn't want to get coffee breath, just in case, but--

oh god she's going to die here. just bury her in the ground. death by date with nozaki-kun. ]

Um... [ he's scanning the menu really quick and then orders her a strawberry lemonade. but he forgot to ask if that's what she wanted!! ]

Wait, is that okay with you? If not, I can go get him and get you something else!

It's perfect! Nozaki-kun, you knew exactly what I'd like! [ And he did- she's practically sparkling now.

...But still frozen in the awkward. She's dreamed of this for forever, and now that it's happening, she doesn't know what to do.] Did your meeting about selling the manga in the bookstore go well?

[ he takes a second to take a few deep breaths in. it's okay, calm down. this is Sakura even. come on - don't act like this -- YOU'LL SCARE HER FOR LIFE ]

...Huh? Oh, it went really well. Actually, the owner said that she wanted to have all of the volumes to sell once I'm finished with them.

[ she hates herself a little for the fact that they've ended up talking about manga of all things on their date, but they needed small talk in order for her to keep from imploding. ] That's great! I knew she'd appreciate all the hard work we put into it. [ hours and hours of work, with nozaki-kun hadn't exactly been hard, but... ]

Do you have ideas for the next volume, yet?

Yeah, it went really well. She had a pokemon too. I wish I had brought Umami so that she could've made a new friend.

[ he smiles. it's good that she knows exactly what he likes and she's okay with it. she doesn't even have to pretend about it or anything ] That's all a secret. You'll get to see a lot of it when you do beta anyway.
