14th Campaign [Video] - Backdated to August 10th
(OOC: Better late than never, right? ... Right? Just a warning I can probably only squeeze in about 4 people to respond to if anyone wants to respond to this, sorry. D:)
Good afternoon, everyone. It appears that 'pocket monster fever' has once against struck Genessia. Even I am not immune to the somewhat addictive task of capturing the lot of them. Seeing these creatures bring us together, whether it be through battling, trading, and other creative forms of interaction is awe-inspiring, and I forsee our shining moments continuing to inspire us to accomplish great things for many days to come. Continue to work hard, for on the 30th I plan to declare a two day open challenge.
[Satsuki seems more annoyed than pleased. On the other hand, that is more or less her default expression, isn't it?]
Now, if I could be serious for a moment, It has come to my attention that someone or some people have decided to take advantage of the current 'pocket monster' craze and cause an uptick of criminal mischief in Nova City. It is still being determined if this is solely Rocket behavior or not, but I feel now would be a good time to make reintroduce myself and make something clear.
For those who do not know, I am Satsuki Kiryuin, current Guardian of Nova City. I credit my success in having gained a second term to those of you who believe in my ability to maintain discipline and order and I thank you for that. That said, as of now, security in Nova City will be increased until this event has passed and anyone caught conspiring with these 'Rockets' will face a doubled penalty.
Finally, as you journey through Nova, do not hesitate to report any suspicious activity to the Guardian Office, even if it is an anonymous tip.
Thank you for your time.

video;
Somewhat. You have good timing; I'd like you to come by the Guardian's Office.
[Like, now.]

[Audio] Locked
I shouldn't really interfere, but a younger sibling is naturally born to be a beloved thorn to the elder. I envy you a little.
[Audio] Locked
If you'd like, you may borrow her.
Re: [Audio] Locked
{After a slight pause.]
Adelheid gave up her life over a year ago to bring about a potential future for her species. If she ends up here due to the cruelty of fate... I would enjoy the potential time getting to know her even if it meant a minor dent to my reputation. But that's my own choice of action and certainly not your own.
[Audio] Locked
Eventually a sigh passes her lips. She doesn't really know how to respond except for the first comment.]
I do not know when that would be possible.
video; /so late. /attempts to appease the Justy with. Uh. Pie?
I'll be there.
video; /better be Boston Cream!
[And so she ends the feed, while berating herself for acting that way. Well, at least Ryuko didn't take it personal.
She decides to wait for Ryuko at the Guardian Headquarters entrance- It's a tower that's probably even taller than she expected; ridiculously so with a symbol of a shield in bright neon lights on all four sides. The inside looks normal enough- almost surprisingly so. It must be Satsuki's doing for certain.]
video; What if it's Chicago creme brulee?
You here, Satsuki? [Somewhere?]
action; Now you're talking!
While Satsuki was waiting at the entrance, it'd be more accurate to say she was standing at the balcony above the entrance doors. As she looked down upon the other teen she could feel nervousness set in again but.. She had to do this. She takes in a calm breath, then answers along with a distinct clack of her heel.]
I am.
[She looks like she's going to step off the balcony but she actually ends up standing on a circular lift that brings her down to the first level. She gestures for Ryuko to stand by her side.]
I would prefer if we talk in my office.
action; Oh, good....
[An invitation from the high and mighty Satsuki? The queen herself? She kept her remarks to herself, though, and walked toward her.
She was pretty shocked by everything she'd seen. Being in this city meant getting used to that, but the robots were still new.]
It as big as this place?
action;
[She replies as she takes a seat at the table, then gestures for Ryuko to follow suit.]
This city is so unlike Japan that I had taken it upon myself to take what I could to preserve our culture in my memory. Not that I could so easily forget, but...
[Her voice trails off a moment, then she shakes her head.]
I suppose it is better to get to the point. I wanted to show you something before we discuss our relationship.
[Satsuki reaches under the desk, then sets a somewhat roughly designed 1-star female goku uniform. Oh it looks good, but not quite the quality produced at home. Satsuki has no idea if Ryuko is able to sense her own life fibers or not, but that is what the uniform is made of.]
action;
Their relationship.
Satsuki knew an entirely different her. She's still just getting used to Satsuki.
Then there's that uniform. She half reaches for it, and then pulls back.]
Where'd ya get it? [There's just something about it.]
no subject
[A short sigh passes her lips.]
In fact, I went so far as to see it as a burden. I had been so focused on my goals that I could not see it any other way- Or rather, I was determined not to. And in my desperacy to obtain life fibers, I took advantage of you.
[She gestures to the uniform.]
That was.. Or is your arm.
no subject
[If she had a sword she'd be holding it. She feels like her skin is crawling. The feeling she gets from that thing on the desk takes on a more sinister tone.]
You took my arm!?
no subject
When we first met.. When you revealed to me what you are and that we are sisters, I did not know how to react but before I knew it, I experienced anger, confusion, joy, and fear, simultaneously. I made a poor decision afterward.
[She shakes her head.]
I don't know why you agreed to my request. Maybe you knew I wanted life fibers as well as a means of placing distance between us.
no subject
What's wrong with you!? [What was wrong with her, to agree? Having her arm cut off!?]
If you try to take any of my body parts... [She doesn't know what to make of this. Why the hell is she being shown this?]
no subject
My desire is not to obtain more life fibers from you; that is not why I have revealed this. I did it because.. Because what I did was.. Wrong. And I knew that if you held any desire to connect with me while I kept this in the dark, that would also be..
...
[Satsuki falls silent for a moment. She sets her hands upon her lap, then leans down to bow.]
I regret my decision, and I cannot take back what I have done. But now you know, and whatever your desire to do is from this point, I will not interfere.
no subject
Damn it.
How's she supposed to react to this?
She doesn't even remember this.
It's her arm on a table, and she doesn't even fucking remember this. How's she supposed to forgive something she can't even remember?]
...You're still my sister. That ain't gonna change, just from something like this.
[But she's not looking at Satsuki. Her hands are in fists. Her arm, for all intents and purposes, is on that table.]
no subject
But maybe that was why Satsuki was expecting a more violent reaction. An amused sound passes her lips; though it's sad amusement.]
I suppose not.
[After a pause, Satsuki gets to her feet.]
One might say that is besides the point, but I understand being at a loss after hearing news of this sort so.. I will give you your space.
[Another pause.]
I had better return to work.
no subject
[Oh, if Satsuki had been a few steps closer, Ryuko would have tried to punch her lights out. If she'd had her scissor blades, still, there might have been trouble with that, too.
But Ryuko's from a later canon point than Satsuki. She's watched Ragyo die. She's felt Senketsu disintegrate against her flesh. She's even watched Nui break herself apart. On top of her dad being dead.
She's angry. She's pissed... and she's freaked. But Satsuki being her sister is exactly the point she needs to remember.
It's why she apparently sacrificed her arm to begin with. And it's why she's not ready to slam Satsuki's head against the desk until it breaks, over something she doesn't even remember.
There might be some things broken on her way out, though.
For now, she turns away so that Satsuki doesn't see the look on her face, and lifts her hand in a casual wave.]
I'll see ya around.
no subject
As much as the people of Genessia annoy her, some people have said wonderful things that have swayed her decision on her thoughts upon her younger sib that she had thought was dead.
Well.. Only time will tell she supposes. Satsuki places her Guardian cap upon her own head. She pauses, as if wanting to say something else, but decides to leave the room in silence instead.]
