Everyone, I'm going to be leaving immediately to face Gilgamesh, I know you all told me to be patient, but I can't just sit around and wait, at the very least, I can go and buy you all time. I have to do my best to help Sakura-san, I can't sit by while Gilgamesh makes other people suffer and Sakura-san is his prisoner.

I know I don't have much of a chance to win, but my friends taught me all about risks and how even with a small chance of success, courage can create miracles. If I die, please don't be sad. If I do die, I died fighting to the very end, not giving up. That's what the G-Stone guides me to do, and what I feel I must do in the name of the oath I swore in my courage, and I just want to help Sakura-san. I at least want to prove to her that none of us should be scared of that man.

I swear, you sentimentalists are the greatest plague Genessia has ever known. If you strike off on your own, you'd better pray Gilgamesh kills you, because if he doesn't, I'll be awfully tempted to finish the job.

If you truly gave a damn about "everyone", then you'd take their advice and suffer in anxiety with the rest of us. Instead, you gall us with nonsense. The nerve, telling people not to be sad if you throw your life away! What do you think suicide does to morale, hm?

To ask is to answer; you haven't thought. You're a child. All you're doing is seeking a way out of your discomfort. That isn't courage, that's despair.

Regardless, your hierarchy is skewed. Courage is good; obedience is better. Learn temperance and join your efforts with ours, rather than leave a corpse for us to trip over.

I don't expect most to agree with, let alone understand my decision, I fully understand the consequences.

But, there's a difference between suicide and fighting to the very end. And I'm sorry, but I can't hide or run away from this.

I'm not seeking a way out of suffering, I'm confronting it with my all. To not act in a situation like this would be worse to me. But I guess the way I feel is hard to understand or accept.

All I want to do is let Sakura-san know in person she's not alone, she CAN stand up to him, and she doesn't have to suffer. Even if I have to give up my life for her sake... I know the risks, I want to help her before that man makes her suffer any more, even if it's hopeless.

If it means anything, I'm mostly just concerned for Sakura-san. And I'm not going to fight at the first opportunity, I will try talking to that man first in person, see if I can convince him to let her go, and not harm anyone else.

You don't have to take all this responsibility on yourself, you know. There are many people here just as willing to help; acting in concert is both safer and more effective than acting alone.

I was planning to assist the others, but when Gilgamesh decided to show up in Attleton with an army with Sakura-san next to him, I just couldn't take that... He kind of forced my hand.

Maybe it's because my friends taught me to not believe in futility. That, with courage, 1 percent can turn into 100 percent.

Mamoru, you're creating what's called a strawman - rather than arguing against what people are trying to tell you, you're arguing against an invented, unreasonable opinion.

No one is trying to tell you to do 'nothing' - they are telling you to think, to be patient, to work with others and make sure your contribution is used most effectively.

No one is giving up; Sakura will be saved; the only difference is whether or not you throw your life away in a symbolic sacrafice in the meantime, or if you pool your strength with others, ensuring victory.

But...Gilgamesh isn't going to simply sit back while the others make their preperations, He might take the initiative if we give him a chance, what if he hurts Sakura-san before she can be rescued?

I.... I can't allow that to happen! At the very least, I can be the first person there and stop him from advancing while the others get together. Even if I can only occupy him for a little while, I can at least buy everyone a little time!

Given the situation, I don't see how I could do anything else!

If everyone you talk to is telling you not to do this, is it because you know better than everyone else, or because your own stubborness is overwhelming your ability to discern what is smart versus what is 'right'?

I thought they were only saying not to because they're worried about me, you know, because I'm young...Not because it's a bad idea to buy the others time.

I'm not trying to make it sound like I'm smarter than everyone else, I'm simply doing what my G-Stone and my courage guide me to do. And what the bottom of my heart says.

And I'm saying this to you because you are young, and maybe you think you have the world figured out and it's as simple as listening to your heart but sometimes it's not as simple as that.

I'm not "trying to take on an army by myself". I'm planning to try talking through this first, see if I can at least get Gilgamesh to let Sakura-san go, fighting isn't exactly the first thing on my mind.

Listening to the courage in our hearts always worked out for me and my friends... most of the time, anyway.

So if talking doesn't work you'll retreat?

Well, I doubt he'd just let me run away after trying to stand up to him verbally, so I'm obviously going to have to defend myself if he doesn't listen.

Plus, I don't like running away, especially when Sakura-san's freedom and safety are on the line. And I have to buy the others the time they need. I have to keep Gilgamesh occupied for as long as I can...

But if it gets bad, I'll try to get away, or play dead or something...

I feel like Sakura-san needs someone there near her, in person, and that means showing her there is no reason to fear that guy. I'm going tot ry talking to Gilgamesh first, to see if I can convince him to let Sakura-san go, and not hurt anyone else, but.... if he doesn't listen to me, he might attack me, and I'll have to fight him. I'm not jmping at the chance to fight! I just wanna save Sakura-san!

Believe me when I say I hate fighting, Anastasia-chan. But there are some things me and my courage won't stand for! And if Gilgamesh won't listen to me...I won't forgive him for what he's doing to Sakura-san and everyone!

I see. Please, I understand you are worried about me, but, I was created to protect life, I'm just doing what I have to. I don't want to fight with him, but I might have to, especially if he won't be reasonable and just let Sakura-san go already.

If he gets to do what he wants, imagine how much worse things will get for Sakura-san, and what if he makes other suffer like her?

Anastasia-chan, you're not going to lose anything! Even if I don't win, I'll find a way to survive and come back, I promise. I'm not dying without a fight, and I won't lose easily. Count on that.

I know what I'm doing may not be smart, it may not be safe, but what is right, what is forged in courage, it's not always like that, it very rarely is. But being afraid of danger doesn't accomplish anything. Even if all I do is buy the others the time they need to come up with and execute their plan, then I've done my part.

I don't plan on rolling over and dying. I'll be back, I promise. You do your best too, Anastasia-chan.
