Who: Ryo Kurokiba, Open
When: Octboer 6th
What: Selling food!
Where: Genessia City
Warnings: None
[Ryo had rented a little mobile cart that he could use to make a little cash. He’s been doing this for a few days now, and business has been good enough that he was able to continue doing it. He has a sample tray with Strawberries coated in candy as well as Takoyaki out for people to try.
Since it is nearly lunch time, he’s taking the initiative to hand prepare some sushi, since over the last few days he’s had people come and specifically request that. Needless to say, the scent of cooked food was flowing in the area and it was pretty alluring to some.
He also has a menu out front for people to look at.]

What is that?

What is what? The food?

[She is still tilting her head a little more.]

[Not that what she made was any better or not, but it was her job as a maid for her to cook, so perhaps she needed to learn more in this world to do that.]
Why combined those lot into food?

[It was still a strange combination. Though she turned her head to look around slightly, seeing various people wondering around and some woman as well whom she watched before looking back again.]

Fermented fish flakes? How decadent.
[ She wasn't being sarcastic. Marine cuisine was generally limited to the upper crust of troll society. ]

You may try a piece of Takoyaki from the sample tray, if you want. [He said before nodding his head in its direction.]
no subject
Mmm, delicious. I'll take an order of that.

Cooking time will be be around 7 to 10 minutes! [If these started to become a big seller, he would start preparing some ahead of time. He swiftly gathers the ingredients and picks up a knife and starts hacking it all up. While it may look violent and unrefined, he is actually make precise cuts and hacking it all up neatly. It doesn't take him long to get the ingredients prepared. He pulls out a specialized pan, fills it with the ingredients and starts to cook.]

Are you some kind of demon? [He was pretty blunt in asking that.]

She takes a sample between her fingers before bringing the candy shell to her lips.]
This is very good, do you make all these?
no subject
Yes. Everything is prepared by me. [If he had the time, he would have grown the strawberries himself too, sadly he had to buy those.]
I have more if you would like to buy some.
no subject
I'd love to. How much are they?

Two Ichogi please.
[Aqua smiles, handing him the money.]
Thank you.

Here you go. [He places the money into a little register that he has set up.]

When the scent reaches her nose, she gets a feeling she's never quite experienced before. With her upbringing, she was never in kitchens or anything like that. It was odd that something like this would remind her of home, yet it did.
She picked up the menu, looked it over, then greeted the man with a frown, as she won't do.]
Good afternoon. Is there a particular type of sushi you would recommend today?
no subject
Hello. [He greeted politely.] The halibut or the yellowtail. Of the fish that I purchased, those were of the highest quality.
[The others were of good quality too, the best that the shopkeepers had to offer, but the halibut and yellowtail still outclassed them.] Not everyone likes those types of fish, but those are my recommendations, Miss.

[She has to admit, she can't help but have her doubts- There doesn't appear to be anything particularly exceptional about the young man. In fact, he appears rather lazy. Perhaps he's doing this against his will?
Of course, Satsuki should know better than to judge by ones appearance, but surely someone who owns a cart knows how important presentation is? Ah, the temptation to lecture is there, but for now she will wait to see what happens.]
Have you been a chef for long?
no subject
I have been a chef ever since I was old enough to properly hold a knife. [He ties his headband on and as soon as he does, it’s like a fire has been lit inside of him. The look in his eyes is wild, almost like a mad dog. He grabs a knife and proceeds to butcher the fish, making precise and swift cuts to deal with the unnecessary parts of the fish. Then he proceeds to make more cuts for the parts that he will be using the sushi.
He prepares two types of sushi for her using the yellowtail. Maki and Nigir, four of each. The rice is typical rice, spiced up with his own concoction of seasoning to help maximize the punch of the flavor of the fish, which was already rather flavorful itself.
All of it is placed inside of a tray, with some wasabi and pickled ginger off to the side. He places it down in front of her with the lid left off and some chopsticks next to it along with a small container Soy Sauce that he also made himself. He assumes she wants to try it here. Even as he sets his gaze on her, the fire still burns in his eyes.]
Your order.

[ ... What is this aura? The transformation made Satsuki feel like her hair was blown back, not to mention make her feel that she was looking at a completely different person. The way he handled the knife with alarming precision; it was like he was a being specifically created to prepare sushi.
Apparently, at some point, she lost focus due to watching him work so the end result placed before her caught her by surprise. When her eyes met his, his gaze is almost mistaken for a challenge to duel.
True madness.]
.. Thank you.
[It didn't take her long to get her bearings back. After she accepted the chopsticks and decided to try the maki first (with a dip in the sauce), she paused after the first chew.]
Mmmgh?
[Eventually the sample was finished, so she moved on to the nigir. Home. Somehow, produced a vivid image of her home when she was little. She'll need a minute to recover, Ryo.]
no subject
So of course she needs a minute to recover. She just ate some of his cooking. He watches her as she tries the food, completely pleased by the look that seemed to be on her face. There was nothing he could have said to make her aware of just what the flavor was going to be like. He doubted she would have believed him anyway if he told her. He waited silently, giving her time to fully enjoy the flavor as it washed over her.]
