[After finally waking up at the dream docks Conan had taken a few minutes to sort out his memories. He didn't regret having these memories, but he had to admit it was a little confusing sorting out between Paradisa and Genssia and Beika. But that done, he digs out his communicator and opens a feed.]

So I guess I'm back now. The dream docks are interesting, aren't they? Does anyone know anything about why they work? Ah, and I guess I should ask. How long has it been here. Has anything happened?

Oi, Dairine! Are you still here? I need to talk to you about something.

[Dairine knew where Conan had gone. When he had vanished, she had gone searching around the city for the small detective. Eventually she asked at the dream docks and learned he was there. That calmed her down a bit. The dream docks seemed harmless enough, at least compared to other things Conan could have gotten himself into. Besides, she was curious to know what the results would be.]

Yeah, I'm still here. It's been a week.

Only a week, huh. It felt like three years.

[Three years, huh? Dairine doesn't think too much of it, though if she did she might notice the significance.]

That's usually how these things work.

So. What do you want to tell me?

Paradisa. [He said the name bluntly.]

I remember everything.

[The name makes her stop what she was doing.]

Where are you?

I'm still by the dream docks.

Hang on. I'll be right there.

[Some things are best said in person. And before long, she'll be running up towards the dream docks, scanning the area for one tiny detective.]

[She'll find him sitting on some boxes not far away from the docks. ]

[Conan spotted. Target acquired. She hurries towards him, waving one of her arms.]

Conaaan!!!

[That's about all the warning he's getting. As soon as Dairine reaches him, she flings her arms around him and lifts him up in a tight hug. Since she's taller than him, it probably means his feet are dangling. Sorry about that, Conan. He might not be able to see, but Dairine has the happiest grin since she's arrived here.]

It's good to have you back!

Dairine! [He squirms and flails, trying to get out of the hug. ]

Stop that! Put me down! What kind of welcome is this?

[His reaction is to be expected by now. No matter how friendly they got, Conan never seemed to warm up to hugs. Dairine rolls her eyes fondly.]

You are so ungrateful. It's not that unusually to get a hug when you've been gone for a while.

[But she does put him down without loosing the smile on her face.]

I haven't been gone that long. [He gladly regains his feet and looks up at her with a familiar scowl.]

That depends on your perspective.

[After all, he had just gone through three years. The scowl pleases her so much that she ruffles his hair.]

Anything more specific you want to talk about?

Nothing that can't be saved for after getting out of the public areas.

Fair point.

In that case, where to? [They could go down to a cafe or the book shop where it'd be less crowded. Or, if he's feeling extra paranoid, to one of their rooms.]

My room. [It wasn't perfect, but it was at least a little more privacy. ]

Alright. I can tell you what happened here on the way.

[Dairine will start walking as soon as Conan does. After all, he has a shorter stride than her.]

[After a quick glance to orient himself, he starts walking purposefully in the direction towards their rooms. ]

Anything important? I heard something about feathers while I was waiting.

Yeah. Some jerk tried to invade Attleton. He had kidnapped Sakura and taken her magical feather before that.

What is the deal with the magic feather? I asked before and no one gave me an answer.

From what I've heard, it's basically a power source. What the feather can do varies depending on the person using it.

[She frowns.]

However, I doubt much good can come from its use. Sakura mentioned once that the feathers are parts of her soul. I certainly wouldn't touch it.

The dream docks? What are those?

It's where you go when you want to find out what's been happening back home. At least that's what I heard.

Oh! I simply must find that out! Where would I find them? Did it work?

The building at the corner of Quince Ave and 14th St.

Mmm, it seems like it did. I don't know how much to believe it, but I did see my home. [Briefly. Of course how could he have expected that gaining more memories would include being trapped inside an absurd castle for three years. ]

By the way, who are you?

Quince Ave. and 14th Street...

[She still isn't used to all these roads with names, but it sure is convenient...]

[She seems taken aback by the question. Hopefully the boy won't be too scared or disgusted...]

Oh...I'm Azalea. I'm a Fae dragon from Sornieth.

[A week ago Conan would have been looking for trick wires and projectors. But now he had the memories of three years in a place where nothing made sense. Including memories of his acquaintanceship with several different dragons.]

What's Sornieth? And what is a fae dragon? Is that different from other dragons?

Sornieth is a continent in my world. The Fae is one of the many dragon breeds, and the smallest known breed. Dragons come in many shapes and sizes.

[Which would explain why she's probably no bigger than him.]

Are there a lot of dragons in your world?

Oh yes, millions of them. And our numbers are only growing.

Why are there so many? Are there any humans in your world?

There are no humans in my world. There are some Beastclan species, though, which have similar qualities in the upper body. We multiply so quickly because we can have up to five eggs in a single nest.

[Levy smiles.]

It's nice to see you. I'm not familiar with the dream docks. [And honestly she's been to busy to know how long he's been gone.]

A lot has happened. Attleton is undergoing repairs at the moment.

Did something happen there?

[Levy nods.]

A powerful artifact, a feather, was taken by Gilgamesh. He rose an army of Golem's and tried to take the land. I helped fight off the Golem's but there was still a lot of damage.

[Conan wasn't sure why he even expected things to make sense any more. ]

First, why was the feather important? And why was he trying to take the land?

The feather was very magical.

[She never saw it so she doesn't know by how much.]

I don't know why he wanted it. I assume Gilgamesh has his own plans.

[Now that Conan had been forced to include magic in his world view, how ever reluctantly, that was the one thing that annoyed him the most about it. This idea that simply saying a thing was magic was enough of an explanation.

It wasn't. Conan would almost prefer it if people would just say that they didn't know the reason rather than saying it was magic. It meant much the same thing to him.]

Does anyone know more?

Fai does and I'm sure Sakura does.

[Those were the two she knew were at the center of the mess.]

I'm sure Gilgamesh does but he might not want to talk about it.

[Conan was forgetting about pretending to be a kid again. ]

[Levy doesn't seem to concerned with a kid acting like an adult. She's seen weirder.]

I just came back from them myself, but I'm not totally sure how it works.

How long did you stay asleep? And how long did it feel like?

I'd say about a week but.... It felt like a lot longer than that. In terms of what's happened while I was there and for how long I'd actually been there.... I'd like to guess a few months at least...
