he's quiet for a moment, not sure what to say but there's a natural, good-hearted smile that appears on his face ]

I... I wanted to thank everyone here, especially my friends for helping me when I came back and for giving me a second chance. I went through the Dream Docks and...something went wrong. I woke up with...half of my body missing and I woke up in the hospital. Everything is healed and scarred over now, which is good. But I almost died at home... And that followed me back here.

I wanted to thank Weiss also for giving me another chance and not taking my job from me. It's been hard getting used to things again and I actually wish I could get some more work instead of everyone treating me like I'm... [ an inconvenience? handicapped? ... broken? he shakes his head ] Uh, n-nevermind.

I just wanted to warn everyone. Even if you lose your friends or your loved ones and you feel like you can't go on anymore... Don't do something stupid. Don't go to the Dream Docks just to go see them again. It was stupid... And I made a mistake that I wish I could take back. But I won't be able to.

Just be careful. That's all I'm saying.

Um, yeah... The technology here is really impressive. I woke up in the hospital with most of it reconstructed.

[ there's a pause and he looks down ] I'm still...missing my right arm and my eye. But it's better than nothing.

Where do you work?

A robot arm... [ he seems like he's unsure about it and thinks about it for a moment before smiling ] That sounds like it might be worth it. But I'm going to think on it some more. I've had enough of being poked and sewn up for a while...

I work at the Schnee Company in Genessia. I live with a lot of other people who are employed there as well. We all come from the same world.

I admit, I'm a little hazy on what the Schnee company does exactly.

We do a lot for the people around here. [ he smiles ] They're really here as a welcoming center for people who arrive and to inform them of all of the areas here. I...work in HR. Weiss Schnee is the CEO and she's the person that you see when you come out of the Bay.

I am familiar with that... although I think having a person there full time would alleviate some of the panic I see in just about all the newcomers.

I believe that's what Weiss tried to do by creating the...hologram when you come from the Bay.

I'm sorry, I come from a world whete there's no technology. So it's been a little hard to adjust.

'Tried' being the key word there. You can't ask it follow up questions, and for people not used to holograms it can be even more upsetting.

I've been hearing about the Dream Docks and thinking about going there. How exactly do they work? Do they actually send you home?

I went there and it was okay at first. A lot of people go there to visit their homes. It's supposed to be a dream and only a dream but...I guess something went wrong with mine.

Really? So...you had a dream about your home, and what happened in your dream actually happened for real?

[She's just...trying to swallow all this. Not that it would change her mind about wanting to go.]

Yeah... It's not supposed to happen like that but it did.

I...I think I still want to go. Surely something that terrible won't happen to everyone, right?

I'm...actually okay, honestly. I wasn't at first but it took a while for me to wrap my head about it. I mean, I left and I was okay... I woke up and I was in so much pain.

[ Do you regret asking for more work already? Weiss has no problem not treating him like he's broken and putting him to work. If he says he's fine, he's fine. Plus, she's the type of person who finds solace in focusing on projects so she definitely understands. It's her own special way of helping. ]

I'm still making that decision. There hasn't been an official meeting yet, it's still in the pre-planning stages; you'll be there when it happens.
