So. I'm Kaito Kuroba. And I guess I'm new here. Not exactly how I was planning on waking up but I guess it beats school and Aoko's mop.

Anyway, I got a question – they tell us to get a job and all, so I don't suppose anyone has any need for an amateur magician? Or knows of any place that does?

I can even do an audition or you or something if you want. I might not have all my equipment, but sort of magician would I be if I couldn't improvise? A pretty bad one, if you ask me.

Well, I could do that too if I'm right in assuming wrigglers means kids. Although eventually I want something bigger. My dad was a world famous illusionist and I want to be as good, if not better, then he was.

Well, from what I understand, 'kid' implies a kind of intermediate state of maturity for humans. Whereas a wriggler is a troll that has yet to pupate.

[Although his is more stage magic then anything else. Even the stuff he pulls off as KID. Not that he's going to let anyone else know that.]

My dad was an illusionist, so I picked up a lot from him. Stage magic too, although I never perfected pulling a rabbit out of a hat.

[Her voice is light and kind though after a distracted pass she continues.]

I started a bookshop here, so maybe you can have scheduled performances or we can build you a stage? Is it like the circus? Or is it magic magic?

Huh. That sounds like a good idea. Take another job to just pay the bills for now and save up to get something more permanent. And meanwhile, I can do random performances in like a park or something to drum interest!

Well, my Dad was an illusionist, so I learned a lot from him. But then again, I do put my own spin on a lot of it too.

I may be getting a little ahead of myself, I suppose. I'm Bridget, owner of Rocks jewelry store. I'm fine with hiring sales clerks with the knowledge that they might leave when something better comes along, and I know of several cafes and shops in need of wait staff as well as an semi-military academy looking for instructors. If you're slight-of-hand, you could certainly bring in the tips with some showmanship. As for spiritual... There are a few more options. Ah, and there is a performance arts center but newcomers or beginners don't make much. I'd recommend getting settled somewhere regular and spend your free time there building up your reputation.

My best friend's dad is the head of the taskforce dedicated to catching the most famous Phantom Thief in the world. I'm a bit of a fan, too, since he puts some really awesome magic shows during his heists, so I studied up a bit so I could be of some help to Nakamori-keibu.

That sounds like a good idea. That's actually what I planned on doing back home once I graduated high school.

Not that this thought process was betrayed by his voice at all. Good thing for that beloved Poker Face. If anything, he just sounds confused.]
