While I'm quite obviously not the only person around, I wonder just how many of you have these communicators. It's strange, though. Our kidnappers don't seem to know how to operate a proper ransom. Take note, if you would: we're supposed to be used as leverage for payout. You shouldn't be offering us money.

[He shakes his head and frowns at a particularly annoying wrinkle in his sleeve.]

They seem to have the mechanics down well enough, but they're still rank amateurs, aren't they? It's hard to find good abductors these days.

Everyone who was brought here has one of these communicators. But no one knows who's responsible for bringing us here, or even if there were any people involved at all.

Actually yes. Skill breeds confidence, and with confidence come mistakes. Mistakes can be exploited.

I hadn't either, but I've been here for a good while. I've kind of gotten used to it.

Most of my adventure is solidly booked with guaranteed payment. Can your reputation offer competitive rates?

Well... Don't mean to brag [Yes you do.], but I used to be a Deputy Guardian here for Everglade. Yunie, my best friend, was the Guardian.

[ They must have had some skill if they succeeded in kidnapping the Sultana of Ul'dah. Not that her birthright shows as she keeps her hair pulled up away from her face. It's been a single sun's time since she woke up in the Bay, but Nanamo has quickly worked to cover up who she is. ]

That all may sound quite impressive if it meant anything to me. Perhaps you should start at the beginning. What is this Everglade, and where is it?

Oh, right. You're new here so you wouldn't know.

We're in a place called Genessia. Everglade is a city that exists here. There should be a map on the device you were given upon arrival.

Perhaps, though their confidence shows no signs of wear. I'm loathe to reinforce their egos.
