Fun question: Who found green crystals in the Maw and what did they say? Major can't have been the only one because that definitely didn't seem like the whole story.

[ She's hoping anyway. There's a chance it was just a remnant of a story and they'll never know the rest, but she's kind of hoping otherwise. ]

Other fun stories and information would be great too. The GSRF doesn't operate on guessing really well.

P.S. Been craving froyo all day, send help or froyo.

[ Yes, she said P.S. outloud. ]

Who: Ten and OTA
What: Exploring and information gathering
When: 6/23 - 6/29
Where: Genessia/Everglade/Nova/Attleton/Fayren
Warning: None yet.

[Closed to Anasasta Leonheart]

If there's anything elsewhere to gather information besides the library is the museum or a planetarium in this case - and Ten stands there staring at the main display at the opening of the planetarium that can be seen from the ticket line and has a look of longingly in his eyes and almost - almost you'd swear that he's actually been up close to those stars.

[Genessia]

The Doctor finally makes his way to Genessia Scientific Research Foundation and is snooping around for any sort of clues.

Another place, one will be able to spot The Time Lord are the museums.

[Fayren]

Ten can't that Fayren isn't lovely looking but frankly that's all he can say about it. He can't say that he believed he just saw a dwarf go by there; just some sort of sub-human species. The dragon flying over- head some kind of alien from some world but nothing here is actually magical. Maybe someone could prove him wrong? That science can't explain everything.

[Attleton]
To white picket fence and all American 1950's feel to it; which Ten makes a bothered face; but his Tardis could be anywhere.

[Everglade]

Call him the fool that walked in at night; though he does like the fog - makes him think of London. He does feel that shiver though that something is a-miss here but what is quite another question.

(Feel free to make up your own prompt just put the where in the header :D)

[He couldn't believe his luck, but in honesty, he really could.]

When I left, the campaigning was finally over. Now I'm brought back and they're beginning again. Is this normal?

[At least he has a time frame of how long he had been gone.]

V I D E O;

[Once the feed clicks on, you'll see a woman wearing a plain lab coat (with no name or emblem on it just yet) wearing a black turtle neck and a stethoscope around her neck. You might see on her name tag that's clipped to her coat pocket that it says "Genessia General Hospital" and "Dr. Angela Ziegler" on it. She's not wearing her halo, nor her Valkyrie Suit with the wings today; it seems she's on her break, for however short it might be depending on how things go. She's used to having her breaks cut short by this point.]

Wow, that was some crazy time to come here... With all of the spirits gone, I'm glad to see things have calmed down a little. Is everyone doing okay? If anyone needs to be healed, let me know. I'll do what I can to help. Although I suggest that anyone with serious injuries should just visit the hospital to get themselves checked. It never hurts to be cautious when it come's to one's health, right?

I did introduce myself upon my arrival as well, but I suppose it doesn't hurt to re-introduce myself now that things aren't as chaotic around here. My name is "Angela Ziegler" and I'm a doctor at Genessia General Hospital; I also answer to "Mercy" if you'd prefer to call me that instead.

I'm new around here and have a lot to learn yet, but I hope that I can be of some assistance to those in need. I'd also like to check out this world more thoroughly now that it's safer outside. I hope we can all get along.

[She glanced off to the side for a moment before looking back finally.]

Whoops! It seems my break is over. Have a wonderful day. [Click.]

A C T I O N; Genessia General Hospital

[Mercy was hard at work, although admittedly she didn't have too much to do just yet. She was still new at this job, though not the duties. She couldn't expect to be given any special tasks just yet when the others barely knew her, after all. Still, she was doing her best to help out wherever she was needed/instructed.

It was business as usual, besides the constant cries for healing, flying back and forth to assist reckless teammates, and dodging enemy fire; being a field medic sure was a joy sometimes. Feel free to to come across her walking about the hospital for whatever reason. Got yourself hurt? Just want to meet the noobie? Anything goes. She'll have her staff in hand, just in case she needs it, although she's more likely to rely on her skills as a doctor besides her nanobiology healing.... unless she had a need for some serious healing.]

JOURNEY TO THE MAW'S CRYSTAL CAVES

At this point, news had been spreading about the flowers- the ones that only grew near crystals in the Maw, that they were what Seek had used on Nova City back in January, even though they were Fayren-native. Those who have made it this far to The Maw and searched for some time will finally find themselves at a cave, deep within. The only light there is whatever they brought with them and the bioluminescent glow of some crystals and fungus within the cave- certainly not enough to guide the way without your own source.

Once the expedition party is deep enough into the caves, they'll likely notice that the crystals have shifted behind them and cut off the way that they've come in. They have to go somewhat deep into the crystals to get to the patch of flowers they’re looking for, a veritable field of them. Most of the crystals are white or a pale lavender in color, and once in deeply enough it will become clear that the crystals have been enchanted as they rapidly spike up from their spots on the walls and cut off the entrance, regrowing just as rapidly if broken. A character may be able to get out if they have teleportation or phasing abilities, but they will not be able to bring other characters with them.

The only choice is to go deeper, and some who do will begin to find crystals that look a little different- refined, not bound to the enchanted white and lavender ones, and they’re a vibrant green in color. Careful though- spirits still lurk around certain corners, and with the low light and the Maw's nature.. well, you may want to stick close to someone else. Those aren't the only monsters down there.

DIRECTIONS:
-If you were RNG'd to receive a green crystal, you received a notification last night. Reply with a top-level to this post to receive the content of that crystal. If you do not post a top level by the 17th, your memory crystal will get rerolled to go to someone else who has already posted a top level. The mod NPC account will reply to your post with the memory crystal contents so you will not have any way to receive them unless you reply to the main post. Crystal finders: Cassian Andor, Koishi Komeiji, Link, Kamille "Mobius" Rainer, Belle, and Major Lilywhite.

-Regardless of whether you were RNG'd, anyone who replies with at least 5 comments by July 4th will receive a Fayren charm.

-If you are one of the four people who get to participate in capture, feel free to assume that your person got separated from their group and ended up finding the other three who did as well. That way you can still have main threads with whatever group your character came in if you'd like while we can limit the thread to a semi-reasonable amount of people for a single thread because 5 people in a single thread is already a lot and we do want to make sure that this thread is completed. A specific thread for this will be posted in reply to this post for each of those who joined in to participate. Once again, if you do not reply by the 17th, you will just have your character dropped from the discovery so that we can move on. Because this is an active thread and not just an info drop, the role will not be replaced unless all four characters do not participate.

-Just replying may also give you a chance encounter for other neat stuff in the Maw. A mod may reply with something fun to interact with if it looks like your thread is active based on a daily RNG through the 17th.

-Please feel free to assume that characters eventually find a second way out. They can also take samples of anything they want with them- flowers, crystals, rocks, whatever they may find. If your character wants to do something with something they took, please ask a mod what they'll find out and include the method they are trying to analyze it with. (If you just say 'analyze it' that's not going to tell us whether you'll find something out- if your character says they're looking at something under a microscope or that they're running a test for something specific, however, the mods are more than happy to answer if there's relevant information that your character can discover.)

action; genessia general hospital/morgue
[ It might be a strange place to head right now, or it would seem that way to most. Rushing into the morgue wearing high heels and a dress in the middle of a disaster probably didn't make sense to most people, but it did to Liv. If she was going to survive, if she was going to help Major survive, they needed something a little better trained in self-defense of some kind to get through this. With Major off retrieving the dagger from her and David's home, she was in charge of getting a hopefully highly skilled snack. Liv's note to self: learn how to freeze-dry human brains.

So while all the chaos is going on outside, Liv is in the morgue, scrambling through charts to try to learn as much about the bodies down there right now as possible. Tennis instructor, not helpful. Makerspace assistant? Probably going to help her kickpunch anything. Come on, why weren't there more dead people around? (That was probably a good thing Liv, don't be rude.) She keeps looking, rapidly making a commotion but she's not too worried right now. It's not like there isn't a big enough commotion outside. ]

I've got a GCPD officer, a bounty hunter whose talents I don't have a file on, or a stuntman. No idea about personalities, their doctors aren't around to ask on account of today's irregularly scheduled apocalypse.
Your choice, but that door isn't going to hold long enough for me to open up both so we're sharing.

[David starts up the video feed. He certainly prepared for this eventuality.]

We have encountered these creatures before a few years back. I created shelters in each city for people to retreat to in the eventuality of another situation like this. There is both magical and technological shielding to help keep the creatures out. The magical shielding was applied by various magic users in their own styles, including former Everglade Guardian Fai. The Genessia City police force is being dispatched to help stem the creatures from getting into the Archways as well as helping Genessia City citizens get to shelters.

[He puts in their location in each city here.]

There is food and supplies and space to house the entire populace of each city.

[The shelters are really that big.]

I would like for anyone that is able to help get people to the shelters if they wish to go as well as stand guard near them to help protect anyone coming in. Fellow Guardians, if you can spare yourself or your people to help with that effort, I would be grateful. Doctors, EMT as well as others that can offer medical help should be going to the shelters as well.

I will be moving through each city and broadcasting this message out with my telepathy to let people know about them, so don't be alarmed if you hear my voice in your head.

[That said, on to information about the creatures.]

Don’t let the creatures touch you, as they drain emotions from you when doing so. It can cause you to turn on your closest friends. These creatures can be dispersed by strong normal means, but they will only return. After their first attack, I had weapons created to help deal with this. If they are dispersed by one of these weapons, they won't return. The ones with the..flowery thing in them are new. So be extra cautious of them.

These weapons have their own drawbacks, however. Creatures from the last time that they were here have been sealed inside of them to give them the ability to banish the creatures for good. We were able to seal some of the creatures inside of sealing stones last time, but getting over run by them is way too easy. I took the creatures sealed in those stones and had them transferred to the weapons.

The weapons, when removed from their sheathes and wielded, have the same affect that the creatures have if they touch you, however it is at a much slower rate. The weapons can be effectively used in combat without much detriment. Though I do advise to only use then for finishing blows.

They have been routinely maintained and stores, so there is no worry about their state. If you want to use one, respond here or contact me directly. These weapons are only being loaned out and will be collected once this is all over. I think it's a good idea not to have these things freely floating around.

I will be going to the Cloister of Trails to see if this can be fixed. The last time there was a breach like this, a handful of people gave up things precious to them to fix it. I doubt it's going to be so easy this time around, because this breach is far worse than that one.

Action: Fairy Haven, Master's Quarters - Open to any member of Fairy Tail or anyone who lives in Fayren Haven

{ It would be quiet; barely audible, depending on where one was in the sprawling compound that Fairy Tail calls home. It was unmistakably Zeref's voice, but there could be none other heard. It might sound as if he were just... talking to himself. }

I almost gave this to them, you know. I was curious to know what they would have done with it.

{ There's the sound of rustling. Zeref sounded slightly sleepy, if one bothered to listen, as if he had only just woken up despite it being the middle of the afternoon. Maybe he was up late? }

What would they have done? Destroyed it? Opened it? They would have been in for a surprise if they had.

{ Whoever he's speaking to doesn't respond. If one bothers to peek into the room... he's speaking to a book laying on a desk parallel to the bed, propped up against the wall. Completely seriously, as if the book were alive and he was somehow expecting it to respond.

Suddenly, Zeref sighs, reaching for the white, outer-layer of his robe, unceremoniously discarded at the foot of the bed. He pulls it on, over the rest of his outfit.
}

Why do I bother? I doubt you can hear me, anymore. I wonder if you're even alive in our world without this.

Text - OTA

I'd like to pose a rhetorical question, if I may. Much has been made about the issue of necromancy, in this world. The act of reanimating the dead into 'undead,' as the term I've been hearing up until now.

What I've heard little about is resurrection. Not merely reanimating the dead; restoring life itself. Reversing death. Bringing a soul back from the afterlife and returning it to this world. In my world, it is taboo, regardless of the circumstances or how unfair or undeserved the death was.

Death is ultimately meaningless in this world, at least for those of us with amulets. When one of us dies, we reawaken in the Bay, even if doing so often has a price. Regardless, I've heard some of us say that impermanent death cheapens it.

Why this distinction? What difference is there, truly, between necromancers, and whomever, or whatever it was that brought us here reducing death to a mere transaction?

[When the video clicks on, the first thing anyone can see is a sunny, clear sky and the tops of some buildings. A few strands of brown hair get in front of the screen, and someone who can't be seen curses - more in a surprised way than an angry way, though. A woman.]

Well, I'll be damned. Half expected this thing to just not work.

[The phone tilts abruptly, and a woman's - well, girl's - face comes into view. She's smiling sardonically, though it doesn't really reach her eyes. She has dark brown hair and quite a bit of makeup on, and her expression doesn't seem fazed by where she's suddenly found herself at all. Her tone is light, something like amused.]

So, apparently I'm the newest kidnapping victim! Name's Faith, and I have one very important question for anyone who happens to see this: Where can a girl find a drink around here?

[Yes, she's banking on no one knowing that she's seriously underage where she comes from.]

[The video clicks on and there's a quick blur of movement, of lights and counter and what might have been a mirror before the video fades to nothing but nothing.

There are some footsteps - bare skin on tile, the distant creek of a faucet being turned on and the echo of water against tile as what is pretty obviously a shower turns on.

The sound lessens and there is nothing for a minute or so until the sound of singing reverbrates through the room.

Those that know him may recognize the voice as belonging to one Leonard McCoy.

It's clear and by no means bad, if not very loud or exceptionally honed; some only slightly embarrassing song from his own time with obvious roots in country music.

If it wasn't clear before that this video was unintentional it becomes obvious after around ten minutes of the impromptu concert when the shower has stopped and McCoy has lifted the communicator to see why there's a light on the back.

His expression - once he actually sees the screen - melts quickly from almost relaxed but confused to deer-in-the-headlights.

Shirtless and hair still dripping wet though luckily nothing else on display, McCoy stares into the screen.]

Oh, hell.

[Qubine's been a leader before. He's spoken publicly with his clan before. But as he prepares to announce his running for Guardianship, he can't help but feel a bit nervous. The idea of appealing himself to strangers, mostly of whole different species, is new to him. As the video feed begins, he lets out a calming sigh, accompanied by a soft, low growl.]

Greetings...Genessia. I am Qubine, leader of the Kalma Clan in Sornieth. I'd like to announce that I will be running for Guardianship of Fayren. I'll admit, this "election" system is new to me. I had become my clan leader by fate...or by circumstance. Whichever you wish to call it.

[He pauses. He shouldn't share too much about himself, lest he bore his audience to death. He ponders about some of the issues he's read about. He's looked at the other nominations and has noticed a rather disturbing trend.]

I couldn't help noticing that some of the other candidates want to steer away from magic. Why?

Now, don't get me wrong. I understand that medicine has its benefits, and I realize that medicine can cure some things that magic cannot. After all, were it not for Orphne's study of medicine, we would not have been able to purge the plague that crippled my former clan for over a year. Still, magic has been an important part of our lives, and can heal most basic injuries far more quickly than medicine. Even for the most severe cases, magic can help stabilize the sick or wounded while the medicine works on the root of the problem.

Therefore, while I would support the improvement of medicine, I will not support the elimination of magic. Especially if it's done in the manner that these Hands of Decay that I've read about have strived to eliminate magic and its users.

[He pauses, letting out a breath once again. He can feel himself growing bitter, something which won't help his campaign.]

Well, I'll keep my introduction short for now. If there's anything you wish to know about me, you are welcome to ask.

[And then he ends the feed.]

[OOC: Reposted after deleting my last one for some improvements. Sorry for any confusion.]

[The angle looks like it's being adjusted several times. Not-so-quietly-mumbled groaning sounds can be heard before it focuses on a very displeased looking man in his later twenties.]

Ugh what kind of crap cellphone is this?! It doesn't even get reception or take good selfies! I can't even with any of this--!

[Apparently, he's so upset he ends it there. A few minutes later, maybe ten, he turns on the video again. He isn't whining yet, but he still looks distressed. Understandable, right?]

Look, I didn't mean to get all bitchy, it's just, this has been a really hard day for me, I woke up in a gross pod and I can't even wash away all the Do Not Want I had with that. And I-- I'm like trying to keep it together, but... [Here come the watering eyes. He bites his lip, oh god is he embarrassed.] I ruined my best pair of pants, and they're not even good pants, and then I saw that hologram and she had perfect shoes and perfect hair and I'm here with this fake monopoly money and ugly ass necklace. Where did you even get this thing from? [He holds up his pendant, utterly disgusted.] The dollar store? I don't even know why I'm trying! I'm probably just being watched by some creepy stalker or psycho-killer. Ew much? But if somehow anyone I know does see this...

Just don't get all rude and self-righteous and I-told-you-so-with me! It's like, really obnoxious and I don't need to listen to it! [He rolls his eyes dramatically, ending the video for now. A few minutes later:]

Chalking that up to a temporary loss of judgment from waking up from a waterlogged coffin. #Wakingupinanotherworld #Notokwiththis #Yourphonessuck #Missingmyfriends :(

Scenario: Zombies exist. They are conscious beings, look just like humans (no rotted flesh), except they have super strength and have to eat human brains or they'll lose their minds and go full Romero-style like in the movies. Probably a couple hundred of them in terms of population. Most of them don't kill humans, they buy brains off of coroners or funeral directors for premium prices just to keep from becoming murderers because while yes, they do feel hunger when they look at a human person, they also used to be a human and aren't typically psychopaths unless they already were before they died. They also sometimes get glimpses of the memories of the humans they eat. It can be spread via scratching, biting, and sexual contact. It's not spreadable to anything but in-species (so zombie rats can only infect rats, zombie humans can only infect humans).

What do you do about the zombie population?

(Disclaimer: This is hypothetical. Been watching a lot of B horror and got curious!)

[The feed clicks on.

... Honestly? Nothing strange here. This man, other than being attractive, seems normal. Other than the considerable lack of panic, of course.

Hard to imagine it, but he looks... warmly content. Satisfied perhaps.
]

Well can't say this is the address I gave the cabbie but hey, I like adventures.

I'm gonna skip the newbie song and dance for a moment; anyone know where I can get something to eat? I'll get all worked up and loud later, can't panic on an empty stomach.

In the mood for fish, I'll make it worth the trip if someone shows up to show me around.

[The situation was not exactly unusual - he had never been kidnapped in this particular manner before, but, well, he couldn't say it was the first time he'd been taken or held against his will, and waking up in a big, damp room with a gift box was a lot nicer than being handcuffed to a wall or on the run from psychotic aliens. Of course, in his admittedly limited experience, it tended to mean that worse things were coming, but he'd judge that on a case-by-case.

[At any rate, once he's out of the egg-shaped container he arrived in, Jim takes a quick look around before heading for the exit, stopping to listen to the hologram on the way. He's a little taken aback by the combination of hologram technology and regular old paper, given that he's from a time and place where the latter is hardly ever used due to the development and advancement of the former, but he takes it in stride.

[Once the hologram is over and he's had a chance to glance over the things in the box and, betting on a need for his hands, pocket the currency, objects, and folded-up pamphlet, he grabs one of the maps by the hologram and walks out onto a street that doesn't look like it would be particularly out of place in any of the larger cities of Earth. The sun is shining - something that his eyes take a minute to adjust to - and the sky looks clear, and there aren't many other people on the street. With no visual cues to his location further than what the hologram and the map tell him, Jim figures it might be a good time to try the communicator. After all, if he was here... what were the chances they'd only kidnap one person from his ship?

[Powering on the device, it only takes him a few moments to work out the features and get a video message started. Once he has it in hand, he takes a deep breath, and begins.]

This is James T Kirk, captain of the USS Enterprise. I just woke up here, and I was hoping someone might have seen my crew, or have some information about this place - outside of what the hologram already told me.

[He's really banking on the idea that he isn't alone in this. It's been a long time since he's had to work alone, and it's not his favorite way to operate.]

[Another day, another adventure. While Spock isn’t thrilled to find that he’s the target this go around, it’s certainly not surprising; statistically, with how things go on the Enterprise, he was overdue for something akin to this to happen.

He watches the video dutifully and thoroughly reads through all of the provided paper pamphlets (arguably the most alarming thing about this planet), frowning all the while, before he broadcasts a video on the primitive device while he begins to leave the Bay.]

Greetings, I am Commander Spock of the U.S.S. Enterprise. If I have been taken, then I believe that there must be at least one other member of the Enterprise here, a Captain James Kirk [because Kirk’s luck has always been worse that way]. If you have any information on the whereabouts of my captain, please let me know.

I am also interested in learning more about the technology available to us [he hopes it gets better than a god damn smart phone] and what it is that is preventing us from simply contacting our ships and getting transported back. As the Enterprise’s science officer I believe that I may be able to offer some assistance on the matter.

[Groggy was the least of Leonard's problems, following closely after 'Where the hell am I?'. Oh, sure, he'd sat and listened to the hologram, and it would be his damn luck if that was all true. He'd still prefer to hear it from a person.

Yanking someone off a spaceship in the middle of space wasn't as much of an impossibility as it seemed before Jim'd beamed onto the Enterprise mid-warp with Scotty.

He didn't mind being planet-side, a good old fashioned atmosphere was always well and good by him. What was pissing him off more was the fact that he'd come down with the clothes on his back, his communicator, and nothing much else. The damn communicator didn't even work, or at least it wasn't picking up anything.

After about an hour he'd stopped waiting by the bay, taken his welcome package and headed off to what the map had said was a bar a few blocks away. Jack's - or something like that.

One drink wasn't going to get him drunk and if he was really the only one that got abducted here they'd be looking for him.

Leonard McCoy is nursing his second glass of bourbon and frowning over the paperwork he'd taken to reading when he finally looks at the other communicator they gave him. Well, he figured, why the hell not? He's scowling into the device once he finally turns it on.]

Doctor Leonard McCoy, Starfleet Medical Officer here, and I've got just one good question for whoever happens to be on this damn thing; What the hell is really going on here?

[He tilts the device pointedly away and takes another sip of his drink before returning to its view. Then, as almost an afterthought he adds;]

Aside from what that hologram had to say.

[David starts up the video feed and begins to address everyone.]

Hello. For those of you that haven't met me, I'm David Haller, Guardian of Genessia City. Given the small situation with the Chimera Infection in Fayren, and after speaking with Guardian Schnee and Guardian Xander, traveling from Genessia City to there will take a bit longer. A Decontamination Walkthrough will be attached to the Archway on the Genessia City side of things. Anyone coming from or going into the city will have to go through the process, wouldn’t shouldn’t take long.

This is being done to make sure the disease hopefully won’t spread from Fayren to other cities as well as making sure no other diseases are carried into Fayren to make the situation worse.

While there isn’t any evidence that states anyone other than mages can be infected, this precaution is still being taken. I know Mages don’t only just exist in Fayren [Everglade has its own mages and he’s sure there are some non-native mages here.]

I am also placing a restriction on any goods being brought from Fayren for the time being. Again, this is just a precaution. I’m hoping this all doesn’t last for more than a week or two, the last thing we need for this situation is for it to turn into some epidemic.

A blood sample of one infected with the disease was collected by Yukiko Amagi and brought to Genessia City to be analyzed. I’m not sure what will be discovered from the analysis, but if anything is, I will turn the information over to Guardian Xander.

Uuugh shit. Three days, my ass. Feels like I been out like a month.

[He glances at the timestamp at the bottom of his screen, and his eyes bulge.]

The hell? More like two months! Shiiiit no wonder I feel like I got loved on by an overeager octopus! Them shits don't know that no means no, if y' catch my drif-

[At this point the video shifts- a lot, since he stumbles and knocks into one of the workers at the Dream Docks. He cusses some then apologizes to the staff, then manages to get himself into a turned around chair, running a hand over his hair and the back of his neck, his right arm held out so he can keep filming with the communicator. He smiles sheepishly.]

Oh well, shoulda knowed y'all couldn't get rid a me that easy, sheheheheh! Guess I gotta get caught up, aye? The hell y'all been up t'?

Me? Decided I'd give this here Dream Dock thing a spin an' go see my Old Man laid t' rest. Died three- no. Goin' on six years 'go by my reckonin', figured 's 'bout time I get my ass over there t' say g'bye. 'Cept then there's 'nother place like Balamb an' Cerealia an' here... only it weren't nothin' like none a them places, sheheh!

[Far from being jovial, that laugh came out rather dark. And Namur begins rubbing his temple with the heel of his palm a little more urgently.]

Didn't mean for that t' happen when I went under. Shit. Anyone know someone with a sturdy needle, thinks they could get under shark skin? Gonna need a new tattoo...

An' some damn fish. 'M starvin'!

[ She'd been here before. And she remembered having time to grieve, but having left and come back, the most recent memories weren't pleasant ones and without a the cold brains of a professional mercenary-slash-hitman to keep that down, Liv took a while to even get out of her pod.

She lay silently, staring at the rugged stone ceiling of the Bay, letting only the sound of the water's ripples and echoes fill her ears. Even without the panic of not knowing where she was, what had once been scars were freshly opened wounds and a reminder that what she had made her life's purpose was once again out of reach in a land where anyone real who died was brought back. A silent twenty minutes later, she took a forced breath. First step: food. Which meant the first step of the first step was finding out if anyone was working in the morgue right now and to get her job back.
